As a self proclaimed Korean bbq expert, I gotta hand it to Won BBQ. They seriously exceeded my expectations. Typically when you go to an AYCE establishment, the quality drops quite a bit to make up for the quantity you are eating at the fixed price you are paying.. but here? Great price. Great variety. GREAT quality. Their meat selection is out of this world. They are all so flavorful and tender. The marinades are TO DIE FOR... and their side dishes? WHAT DO YOU MEAN this is all included? Honestly, I stopped going to AYCE KBBQ places because after Covid, it just wasn't the same. As fun as it was to meet up with friends and bet on who can eat the most, enjoy good food and good company, it just stopped being worth it. The quality dropped while the prices kept going up. This spot just opened up nearby and I had to try it out (they have a few other locations which must mean it's half decent, right?). I'm glad I did because I just fell in love with AYCE kbbq all over again. From the food, to the service and the ambiance...there's nothing bad to say about this place. One: Ellen was tremendous, usually I'm used to cooking by myself but she was more than generous to cook for us so we could enjoy our drinks. 2: the food was perfectly seasoned and she cooked it amazingly. 3: bogo soju on Thursdays? What's not to love. The food was perfectly seasoned, they gave us our own bottle of hot sauce and extra Gochujang. We've been to every Won KBBQ location from bayside, to carleplace and commack. It never misses. The service is immaculate. The vibes are fantastic with great music always. And the food? To die for. Amazing. Shoutout to Ellen who works in carle place and commack who doesn't make us cook, so it gives my brother a rest so we can enjoy our soju . Don't believe all the fake 5 star reviews. Obviously family, friends and workers. My daughter took me here for Mother's Day. The place was empty. I guess people know about this place... They weren't ready for a 12 pm open. Took a while to get seated, plus more time to be waited on. We sat there for about 15 minutes, waiting. They "recommended" the brisket, which was more than 50% fat. The steak and marinated chicken were decent. Rice was bland. Sides were so-so. I requested to have separate tongs for the raw meat and the cooked meat, to prevent cross-contamination. They brought the extra tongs, put proceeded to put raw meat on nearly cooked vegetables on the grill and serving us with the tongs they used for the raw meat. Went to the bathroom. Toilet leaks. They have a sign saying "pull up the handle to stop leaking." It's a $15 part at Home Depot. This is a restaurant. Fix your toilet! While in the bathroom, I saw a kitchen worker come out of the stall and go nowhere near the sink to wash her hands, then back to the kitchen. I complained to our server. So what, right? I didn't like that they cook the food. Every other Korean BBQ place I've been to supplies you with the food to cook on your own. Not this place. They hover over you putting stuff on the grill and doing their thing. No consideration of how the customer likes their stuff cooked. The place was booked solid on Open Table from 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm. We were there from 12 noon until 2:30. The place was empty. As much as they charge per person, they don't include dessert. I did get a free popsicle for Mother's Day. Will not be back... read more

Woooo Weeeee, for years I've had to travel all the way from eastern long island to Bayside in order to visit my favorite AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant. So when I found out that they were opening a location in commack, I whipped out my calendar and started counting down the days to the opening.... Was it everything I hoped for? ABSOLUTELY! First off the new place is beautiful, and massive! Plenty of seating here, all set up with big screen tvs playing your favorite K-Pop hits. Lighting is turned down low and the vibes are high, which is something this guy really appreciates. Just like Bayside, service is top notch. Staffing is attentive, friendly and quick. By default, the servers will help out with keeping your grill going and offering tips as to when the the food has been properly cooked, but experienced patrons should have no fear as there's no issue if you prefer to handle things yourself. Then there's the food! With more high quality meat and side options then you can handle, you're never going to get bored as every visit will be a new experience. Bottom line is that Won BBQ is superior to any other restaurants in it's class. read more

Won JBBQ is a standout among the throngs of JBBQ's on LI...We had a Valentines rezzy for 5 pm and on arrival we were welcomed and seated at a nice booth with the bon chon already waiting for us. The place is warmly decorated and our server was friendly and helpful. We had the AYCE which was a standout... We ordered Soju to get in the spirit and it was delish! The routine is : server takes order, runner delivers the meat et. al., Meat comes out and server handles the cooking and cutting for serving... a different approach as others you cook and burn your food and serve yourself. The cuts of meat were hearty and more substantial than other venues and dont come to the table frozen...plenty of each ordered item...I enjoyed the pork belly, pork jowel, Galbi, steak and many other choices and enjoyed them all! The ambiance comes thru and its comfortable for all the patrons. It is a step above, you pay the price but its worth it for excellent service and quality of offerings. Def a great choice! read more

To be honest I'm not really a fan of "all you can eat" KBBQ but I have to say this location is superb. From the vast seating to the quality of the meats and many sides to choose from, I had no critiques. Everything was delicious! The best part of my experience however, was the AMAZING STAFF. I believe they were the managers, but they were so engaging and friendly I felt right at home! But even the other staff were so great and friendly as well! The food was deliciousssssss. When you walk in, the smell of delicious meats cooking hits your nostrils. I couldn't wait to start eating. The staff is extremely nice and courteous. I like that the staff cooks your meat for you so everything is taken off the heat when it is perfectly cooked. All of the sides were also delicious.
