If you're looking for this Wolf's Head to emulate the quality of the one downtown, you will be disappointed. I don't think my hair is that complex; however, the guy that cut my hair kept going over it again and again. After he said he finished lining up my part and tapering the back of my head, he decided to just keep going when it was fine the way it was. This ordeal probably added on an unnecessary 30 minutes. After I finished the hair cut, I took a picture of the back of my head and it wasn't even the taper I asked for. It just looked like I took a razor and just did it myself. I found this new location by accident. I tried to get a last minute cut at the downtown location before Christmas but couldn't get in. I was re-directed to Goleta and I'm glad I made the drive. The atmosphere and music are great and there is lots of parking, which is a bonus. Enrique cut my hair and did a fantastic job. His attention to detail was on point and I appreciated how he communicated to me what he was doing. I wasn't worried at all but it was still refreshing to see how he and the others there care about their customers. Little things like that go a long way in customer satisfaction. Wolf's Head has the best barbers in Santa Barbara & Goleta that I know of, and A+ tier service. I've gotten competitively priced, flawless cuts, every time with no hassle at all. The one time that I ever had to wait due to a communication error, my haircut was comped and I was given some dope Wolf's Head merch, as if a free haircut wasn't enough. They treat you right at Wolf's Head and they've been my go-to barbershop since I first set foot in there. If you're looking for someone to cut you right, this is it. Cool people, but when my barber asked me what i was getting i said "faux hawk fade, only the top" and there was confusion on what i wanted. He didnt know what it was. Im almost positive the other barbers overheard what i was saying , so either there is lack of communication between them or none of them knew what a faux hawk fade is. I ended up saying "just give me a fade" and although the fade came out alright, it was far from the best ive gotten. It's disappointing walking in to a barber shop and expecting professional service and walking out feeling like you got a haircut from a buddy and not a professional barber. read more

Barbershop was cool and had this rugged look to it, which I liked. Besides that, there wasn't anything to like. I am very particular with haircuts I get. Going along with that, I expect a very well executed haircut with my particular cut. I get a simple low-fade with a line-up. The fade part was good, but the line-up was something else. I have unsymmetrical lines and it really bothers me. I didn't ask to try and get it fixed because the damage was already done and feared that my hairline would get pushed really far back. I was at the point where I rather cut my losses and try again with another barber when my hair grew back. Usually when I go to barbershops, they will also offer to line you up with a straight razor (helps keep your haircut looking nicer for a longer duration), but it seemed as if the barber was trying to get me out of the chair and seemed hesitant to do it once I asked. I guess for the $30+tip, I was expecting a great haircut and ended up leaving with a below average cut. Barbers didn't seem to care to much contact with customers, let alone with other barbers. One barber had his headphones in sitting next to another barber while music was playing the whole time. My barber hardly talked to me and I felt as if I had to force conversation (ended up just staying silent, scrolling through social media).More than likely, I wont be returning. read more
