Most guys would rather change doctors than barbers, and I'm no different, but scheduling with the person who previously cut my hair for complicated, and I was desperate for a haircut. I was eating at Jonsey's Fried Chicken across the parking lot and noticed this shop. I looked it up on yelp and saw the numerous positive reviews and accompanying photos and figured I'd give it a shot. I called the number and made an appointment for noon the follow day which was easy. I walked in and promptly sat down and gave him the style I wanted and he went to work. The shop was empty (that's the perk of getting your cut the day AFTER a holiday weekend) so he was able to take a little extra time and 40 minutes later, I came out looking great and feeling even better with my hair finally cut and beard trimmed. Cost was $45 and I added a tip on top of that. I paid cash, but he said he took credit card and Venmo as well. read more

Hair cut was $30, the hair dresser was very professional and took her time with haircut. It was a great cut and I'm very happy with it.

Barber Inc is a hidden gem in the Old Town Goleta area. Tucked in a business complex off Orange Ave., they are a friendly barber shop. I was immediately greeted by the owner and was able to get into a chair right away! Brenda, did an amazing job and gave me a haircut exactly the way I wanted it done. I'll definitely be a repeat customer to Barber Inc and recommend them to anyone looking for a locally owned barbershop in the Old Town Goleta area. read more

The guy yells "I don't give a f&$k!" to any patrons of neighboring businesses to have the misfortune to park within sight of his barber shop. He really needs to reign in his temper, learn some diplomacy and PR skills, and treat fellow human beings with respect. I would not want to be in the same room with this person, let alone get a haircut from him. read more

Extremely friendly, attentive, and professional! I highly recommend giving Barber Inc a shot. I got a beard trim and a haircut, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. I just showed a picture of roughly what I was after and suggested artistic license on the rest. I am 100% satisfied and will be a regular customer. Joshua was amazing and very talented. Recommended a taper instead of a full fade and I got mad compliments on the style. I really appreciate that! Last thing he did was slap some hot shaving cream and took a straight razor to the back of my neck under the hair line. I feel that takes a lot of skill and I was surprised on that. He says he has a history related degree so I really enjoyed our conversation on history as I love history myself. Overall this will be the only place I will get a cut from while I live in Goleta, and I recommend everyone I know to come here to. read more

Joshua took great care of me today. Called and got an appointment, walked in and got the best haircut since I arrived here in Goleta. He took the time to ask what I was looking to do with my hair and then, cut it just like I asked. Great experience, give Joshua a try, I will be going back. read more

Joshua is the man! I randomly stumbled upon this hidden gem and man, let me tell you, this is the place to get your cut! The shop might be a little hard to find but if you're within the area and need a cut, definitely check this place out. Joshua will be sure to take good care of you. My boyfriend just got his hair cut, and I'm not sure of the gentleman's name, but he did a phenomenal job. My boyfriends hair is super thick, and has a cowlick that most people have a problem with and legitimately no one makes his hair nice like this. We live a bit away, but if we are ever in town again while simultaneously needing a haircut, we will come back to Barber Inc. read more

My husband loves getting his hair cut here. He finds Joshua to be a great conversationalist, but also efficient and skilled in what he does.

After recommendation from a coworker, I decided to give this spot a try. I now feel confident in saying that this will be my new barbershop. Unless you are familiar with the area, you likely will not find this spot unless your eyes catch the vibrant flag sign. It's in the rear of a fairly rundown strip mall, and is not very visible from the road. Walk inside, though, and you know you're at a true barbershop. The interior is graced with leather and stained wood accents, steampunk-era lighting, and two flat-screen televisions. I got a neat, masculine vibe overall. There were three stations, but Josh was running the show on his own. I got to talking with Josh, the proprietor and main barber, and realized that is he a great guy with a true passion to the craft of barbering. He has an impressive resume, having worked for two other barbers over the years. He was also very personable, which certainly helps if you're sitting one-on-one in the chair with him. I asked for a medium fade cut, and Josh completely delivered. My cut turned out great, and I'm quite satisfied. I was even given a massage and a straight-edge neck shave which were both bonuses in their own regard. Pricing is very reasonable, and credit cards are accepted as payment! This is convenient for people like me who often forget to grab cash from an ATM - plus, I mean, it's 2018. Get with the times, other small businesses out there. Bottom line: a killer cut, a great barber, and a positive experience overall. I will most definitely be back. read more

I walked in here for a haircut while visiting family in the area. Joshua gave me possibly the best haircut of my life. I have very curly hair (caucasian-ish) and he was able to cut it on top perfectly evenly with a scissors, and fade it down just slightly to #4 on the sides. Sounds simple but most barbers cannot do this perfectly. Joshua did. 3 months later (!) the haircut still looked good, albeit much longer. I hope I'm able to come back next time I'm in the area and feeling shaggy! Extremely skilled haircut and easy conversation. Come here. read more

I was looking for a barber. I saw the positive reviews on yelp and google reviews so I decided to give it a try. I went in and right away I could tell Josh was a good guy. He was relaxed and friendly. I showed him a photo of what I wanted and he nailed it. He was quick and professional. He was fun to talk to during the cut. $22 for the cut. Good value. I found my barber. read more

Joshua is the Man! I'm originally from Los Angeles and have been going to my shop out there for years. I'm very picky about who touches my hair. I just recently moved out to Goleta and I wasn't sure where or who was going to cut my hair. I tried Barber Inc. for the first time yesterday after not getting a cut got a whole month and Joshua made me feel at home. From the fade to the beard line up, Joshua really took his time and proved why he is a master at his craft and made sure my cut was FRESH. What really sealed the deal was Joshua himself, he is a genuine and personable individual who is super laid back and easy to talk to. Will I be coming back, you ask? Absolutely! Joshua's skills, prices and vibes are like no other. read more

Joshua was incredibly friendly and professional. I had requested an appointment through Yelp the day before and he was extremely prompt with his reply. Once I got there he asked me what I wanted with my hair. I gave him some basic direction and left the rest up to him. The haircut was great and Joshua was extremely friendly and a great conversationalist. I was left completely satisfied with my experience. I would recommend anyone in this area to give this place a shot and I will surely be back again if I'm in the area. read more

Personable & talented barber. Definitely recommend! Thanks for the great haircuts, Josh

Josh is the best, I've been coming here for months now, and he does a great job every time.

Got a cool cut the other day. Got complements all day from the homies and co-workers. They said I look hip, but not a hipster. Yee.

Best haircut I've had in a while. The place is really nice inside and Joshua does a great job.

I came in because it was close to my work. It turned out to be a great decision. He was courteous and professional, as well as a kind and personable. I would definitely recommend this barbershop to anyone. The cut was clean and looked fantastic. Josh really cared how I wanted my hair to look and made sure it came out that way. 10/10 would chat again. read more

Josh hands down is the best barber in town. He's been chopping my dome for a very long time & I recommend his service's. I used to go to Danny's growing up in SB but when Josh became more acquainted with his craft, I was more than eager to have him cut & style my haircut to perfection. He is family to me & we go way back, by all means a must go to spot for Goleta & SB. read more

Great haircut and an even better guy. Josh was really nice, gives great haircuts, and cares a lot about his customers. Definitely don't sleep on my guy Josh, he's a stud. Thanks again Josh! read more

His time is no more valuable than ours. We go in for a cut and are told to come back in 40 mins. We return 30 minutes later and he tells us sorry I can't do it today and he has someone else in his chair. WHY DID YOU SAY COME back in 40. What a complete waste of time and an Uber fare. Customer Service matters... If you want to get jerked around then visit this place. read more

If you want your hair done right, this is the place to go. You could easily pay more at other places to get a worse haircut, so coming here is a no brainer. Josh is a great guy to talk to as well, and it was an all around great experience read more

Josh was a great guy and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. Haircuts were a standard $22+tips if you wish. Took less than 10 minutes to get there from IV and hopped into a chair immediately. Will be coming back. read more
