I usually don't leave reviews but I feel like I had to for this one. This is my first experience here and the haircut was great but the service was not there for 2 reasons: 1. My barber showed up 10 mins late to the appointment without notifying me at all. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:30pm so I showed up about 10 mins early but the doors were locked. I looked inside and no one was in there. I knocked on the doors and called the number on their window a few times but nothing. I waited outside the shop until 5:30pm thinking someone was going to open the door but nothing still. I almost left because I thought they were closed, but I decided to give this place a real chance. So I sat in my car for a few mins and the guy finally showed up at 5:40pm. It would be nice to receive a text message at least saying you're going to be late so I know to wait and not be left in the dark. They have your number because when you schedule online, they ask for it and your email as well. 2. They try to be slick and charge you a little extra for your haircut so be aware: When you walk in, they have a chalkboard sign that says the amount for different types of haircuts and I got the fade which is $40. After the haircut, the barber is able to custom enter a price, and entered my price as $45. When you hit accept, it takes you to a screen where it asks you to tip. I fell for this, unfortunately, and tipped extra when he included it in the pricing without saying he did it. Please look out for this!!! I am a Marine Corps veteran and I have had my fair share of really bad haircuts, considering I used to have to get one every week. So when I say that this barbershop experience was the worst I've ever had that's really saying something. I came in for a 3:00 pm appointment and wasn't seated until after 3:30 pm. Which is ultimately fine; I usually wait a long time for a quality haircut, and I expected this to be the same. When I did finally sit down, I told the grumpy dude what I wanted: a mullet, with a high fade on the sides with an extreme drop off near the back of the head, a trim and clean up in the back, and about 2 inches off the top. I wish that was what happened. The guy didn't listen to me at all. At first, I assumed it was because he was an old dude who knew best. Turns out he was just a schmuck. Firstly, on the sides I ended up with an almost low taper fade, not the high fade I asked for. I say almost because he barely faded anything at all and really just brushed it away. He then proceeded to the back of my head, where he lectured me about not needing to actually cut anything back there. that was fine with me, because I already told him I was fine with the length. Then he trimmed the bottom ends of half the hair back there, told me something about crescent moons, then got me out of the chair and charged me $40. That's it. No clean up, no cut, no nothing. I was sat down after 3:30 pm and was out the door by 3:40. that is not an exaggeration. He didn't touch the top of my head. Let me be clear: it's not like there's nothing to cut and I'm being a karen. I haven't had a haircut in weeks and wanted to treat myself to something nice to cheer myself up after a rough weekend. I'm looking at the mirror and frizzy hair going everywhere, split ends, just an uneven mess. just simply on a professional level he should have noticed something. He seemed like he was eager to get me out of the chair. And the real kicker? He trimmed my beard lopsided. I didn't ask him to touch my beard at all. he just went ahead and did it, and now im probably going to have to shave it off to save face. I'm staring at myself in the mirror right now just wondering what I did wrong. Its a real shame and just absolutely unacceptable, and then he actually stood there and asked for $40. I didn't even argue or say anything I thought I was getting pranked. I get that this old dude probably is a staple in his community or adds real charm to the place, and maybe he was just having a bad day, but not doing anything I asked, doing something I didn't ask for and messing it up, and then rushing me out of the chair after 10 min and stealing $40 from me is criminal. youll never catch me in this shop again. do better read more

Sergio is a great barber. He took his time to cut my hair , and gave me a comfortable time. What I enjoyed the most is his 92" TV and his awesome buzzer. I recommend this place for cutting hairs. Affordable prices also! read more

Took my teenage boy there for the first time after recommended by his friends, Frank was really great. He carefully listened to my son's requests and delivered exactly as how he wanted. It is not easy to get a thumb up from a teenager on haircuts. We will be back. read more

Service wasn't great, the place was very nice. But the barbers still need work. They cant distinguish the difference between a low and mid fade. They don't really use shears to trim the top just ran the machine through it. read more

Atmosphere of the shop was amazing, I got a cut from Sergio the guy with tattoos and a beard. Super laid back and chill guy great personality and easy to talk to. The haircut itself was horrendous to say the least. I asked for a high taper with a shape up on the back, previously having long curly hair. As soon as he took the first chop I knew it was going to bad. He pushed my hairline back, each side being uneven, looked like a trapezoid. The taper itself wasn't blended at all, didn't even bald the side burns properly. Good guy but skills are extremely subpar, take his license away. I've seen this place here for a while and wanted to check it out because it is so close and convenient. I talked to a friend and his son (who is friends with mine from school) who get their haircut and they both liked it, as well as another friend of mine who used to cut hair with these guys at a different spot. So with some positive word of mouth, I finally made my way there this Sunday afternoon. That's a big plus alone for me is being open Sunday. With work and school and kid sports basically consuming my life 6 days a week Sunday afternoon the perfect day to get haircuts but most shops are closed. I was able to walk in and Sergio L. took me and my 2 boys in a row pretty much right away. It was nice to be able to walk in but even better to know that they do reservations online which I will try next time. I was impressed that the guys didn't bat an eyelash at cutting kids hair. Some shops can be pretentious about it but these guys were great and my kids were happy, especially with the lollipop at the end Definitely looking forward to coming back. read more

It's 3:30 pm on a Friday and I'm in Goleta next to Storke rd. There are several barber shops in the area. I went to 3 barber shops all said they were booked and wouldn't give me a cut. The fourth place I go to is Primetime and I walk in and Brian says he can take me. Thank you for just allowing me to be a walk in without any hesitation to get me a cut. I told Brian exactly what I wanted and even he showed him a previous picture with the cut I'd like and he matched it to the tee. Fun to talk to and I'm just saying thanks for taking me last minute on a Friday and delivering for me when no other barber shop in the area would. Nice little shop I'll come again. I wish I'd seen the previous review on Sergio but I can only agree with it. Chill dude but I wasn't asking for much. The taper and blend is the worst that I have ever have handled. He also loves to cut- took off much more than requested. One of the worst cuts I've ever had. read more

This is my friends' go-to barbershop in Goleta. They get really great drop fades here. The owner is responsive and friendly. Central location near the Costco shopping center (just keep going, in the back). Free parking. read more

I've tried different barbers in the Goleta/SB area but Primetime has been the best one I've found. Sergio was absolutely amazing. He is kind, personable, and professional. Awesome haircuts and super sweet location. Their booking system is really easy. Sergio played some TV while cutting my hair but kept the volume at a nice level so it wasn't hard to talk with him as well. He finished my haircut right on time and finished it with a perfect neck razor shave. If you're looking for a quality cut, this is the place without a doubt! read more
