Great haircuts. Very open and friendly atmosphere. You won't be disappointed. Prices are exceedingly fair.

Jennifer is wonderful! Patient, kind, flexible - and her haircuts are terrific. Great vibe at the shop too.

I got a typical simple no thrills haircut and was charged $35. Before I had a chance to give her cash as a tip, I was given a device to choose what tip amount I wanted to give. I felt like I was being forced to give a tip and not volunteer to give a tip. I haven't been back. Americas tipping culture continues to get worse. read more

They have been great during COVID and it is a old-time friendly barber shop And I get a good haircut. read more

Enjoyed my haircut today with Tim. I used to work here with him and have relocated. One day I said I was going to come and visit and today was the day. Thank you. My hair looks awesome. High and tight fade slicked back with no product. Only didn't ask for a shave. Oh well next time around. read more

Tim is the best! Always a good haircut and Bella, the shop dog, is a bonus. Prices are fair.

Jennifer is the best. She has been cutting what is left of my hair for more than 5 years. She does a combination of a machine and scissor cut. More like a salon cut than an old-style barber shop. read more

Very convenient and close to my work, it's easy to get an appointment within an hour or two, or just walk in. All the barbers/stylists are competent, efficient and give great cuts. Prices are reasonable - about $20 for a cut. Fairview Barbers is super old-school and no-nonsense, with a straight-edge clean-up on the neck and vibro back massage at the end. The talk and banter used to border on politically incorrect, but it's mellowed out a ton over the years. It's a real friendly, family-type establishment now. Highly recommend it for males of any age looking for a good haircut. read more

Friendly staff! The gal was super nice to my 3 year old. We walked in she greeted us advice me walk in welcome and no appointment needed today. Small wait time..they got comfy chairs and a tv to kill time Thanks for making my son's visit awesome! read more

I recently started working here. It is a great barbershop. Lots of ways to keep busy. Like the atmosphere very calm and classical. I intend to serve everyone the way they need to be. And accommodate by any means special haircuts that fit their lifestyle appropriately. read more

I have been going to Fairview Barbers for a long time and I have not had a bad haircut. The barbers can cut just about any style of hair you want. Right know you have to make an appointment do to COVID-19. Tim and Jennifer wear masks, the costumers wear mask as well while getting there hair cut. Price is just about right. Not to expensive. read more

My husband was visiting Santa Barbara and needed a haircut. He's gone to several barbers in the area before on previous visits and those cuts weren't so great. After recommendation from a friend who has his hair cut regularly at Fairview Barber Shop, my husband decided to try it out. I have to say, it was a great hair cut, exactly what he wanted and just as good as his regular barber. My husband was pleased at not having his hair butchered on vacay. read more

Go at your own risk. My boyfriend came home like this and I was just in disbelief. It's definitely going to scar! And it hurts him! When you go in for a haircut you shouldn't feel like you might come out looking like Scarface. I don't recommend this place. read more

Fairview Barbers - Not ok! - Barbers Near Me - Goleta, California

Just got a great haircut here. Andre was really nice. He was talkative in a chill way, which is fine by me. $16 for a regular cut. $20 for a shave, and I forget the rest. They even did the vibrating glove head massage thing. Very awesome. read more

The owner, Tim, and the other barbers are super friendly and make great conversation. I like it because they aren't too PC with their conversation :). The haircut was great and he cut it the way I wanted it. For $16 + tip I was extremely satisfied and will return. Also learned about the fascinating history of moonshine. Thanks Tim! Got a really solid haircut here for 16$. This is a true barber shop. He even used a straight razor. Awesome. The wait is going to be really long but that's because they are very meticulous with your hair and take their time making it perfect. read more

Fairviews barber is a decent place with decent barbers. Larry is very chill, and all of the barbers are pretty skilled except for one guy, Bob. Bob is slightly mentally deficient, and it's apparent the way he talks and the way he moves. There's obviously nothing wrong with that, and I'm not trying to insult the guy, but it's not professional for a barber place to hire someone who can't follow simple instructions like "2 on the sides" or "just keep the same haircut, but everything an inch shorter". I've had my hair cut by Bob two times already, and everytime he butchered it. Fairviews barber is an ok place, but to be rated 4 stars, they need to fire Bob. read more

Fast service and friendly staff. I'm always able to get my haircut soon and I don't have to wait long. They can cut many different styles and the staff is very welcoming. I consider this place my favorite. I'm in and out every time. read more

My barber was super thorough and she did a great job on my fade + trim. Friendly vibe, good value for money, solid barber shop.

I've been going here for a couple of years, and have had great experiences each and every time. A couple of the barbers have cut my hair, and were great each time. Prices are good, and the barbers are talkative and engaging. read more

Cheap Haircut, Horrible Service, doesn't even deserve one star. You get what you pay for at this place and that's not much! If you enjoy mediocrity then please give this place your business. Their prices are so cheap, I don't understand how they manage to say in business. But... if you expect a quality haircut with attentiveness to details and to your needs, then definitely take your business elsewhere. Because the location is convenient for me, I've had my haircut here at least six times and each time was more disappointing than the last. Today was the last straw. I went in during my lunch hour and politely asked how long the wait was. The owner informed me that the wait would be about 25 minutes. I said "okay, great. Can you put my name down so I can grab some lunch really quick and come right back?" He then looked at his paper and said "I can put you down for 1:30." This was an hour and a half later, not 25 minutes, so I said... oh, well in that case, I can just go somewhere else." The guy then asked "Do you expect me to just not take care of one of these other people to accommodate you?" I proceed to say, "No... of course not, but you just said 25 minutes....." but he interrupted me rudely and actually told me to get out of his shop! I cannot believe how rude and argumentative he was to someone actually willing to give him business! I will never again be lured into that place again by its convenient location. In fact, I actually thank the guy for his rudeness, because it led me down the road to "The Cutting Edge" hair salon where for just over ten dollars more and only a five minute wait, I received a warm welcome, friendly service and the best haircut I've ever had in Santa Barbara. read more

Everything OK there, but not more. Got a decent and pretty fast cut for $17 + tip, but not exactly what I wanted before. Altogether, I would say better, cleaner and nicer than for example Campus Cuts. Guys working there are OK, but I really think they do their best at being barbers, way better than on giving haircuts (e.g., they don't offer washing your hair). I think it's OK for dudes, maybe not for ladies. :) Would probably go there again, but not really sure. read more

Seems like barber shops are becoming a thing of the past, especially in So. Cal. Damn you Supercuts for taking away good and dependable service and good conversation! Fairview is one of those places where you could catch up on "manly" gossip like sports and cars. Service is a plus, and they have an incredible holiday party for their customers (you gotta be in the know to know when)...where it's the only barber shop with taxis ready to take your drunk ass home! read more

Great barbershop, the barbers are really nice and fun to talk to while giving a good cut for a reasonable price. It would be best to call in ahead of time, because they do get pretty busy. read more

Was out this way a few weeks back to pick up my son from summer camp. He needed a haircut for school which started the day after. So like any young kid he had to look his best for the first day of school. So I went on Yelp app to find a barber shop in the area with the best reviews. And I must say "Thank You" my fellow yelpers for this location. My son was very pleased with his fresh haircut. Only thing had small trouble finding the location. It's hidden in the back of the shopping center. But love the plenty of parking in the back. read more

I have been to many barber shops over the years; sometimes it can be really hard to find someone who gets you haircut just right. Fairview Barber has a diamond in the ruff cutting hair in their shop. Andre is some what a quiet kind of guy, but funny n chill at the same time. If your looking to get your head cut clean and tight, Andre can hook it up for sure. Straight edge razors have faded out over the years, which really sucks cause its the cleanest cut and line up you can get. Andre breaks out with the warm shaving cream and a clean straight razor, and I always leave happy when I've been in his chair. Check out Andre at Fairview Barber Shop, you won't be disappointed. Cheers read more

Cool guys, laid back vibe, did just what I wanted and the straight razor finish and vibrating glove shoulder rub were solid.

Best barbershop I've ever been to. Old school privately owned barbershop, not a large chain that hires cookie cutter stylists out of beauty school. Reasonably priced quality haircuts, funny banter ("shoot the s***", easily offended people need not apply), hot shaving cream with a straight blade to clean up the edges, and best of all a hand massage at the end. These guys are all about building relationships with their customers, not just getting people in and out. They're also GREAT with kids. RIP Sal, one of the nicest and most genuine human beings I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. read more

Ok, I am now truly convinced of two things: 1-In america, most barbers suck. 2-Yelp is totally unreliable and hides negative reviews (not recommended thing, as will happen to this one) if the businesses pay for it. I called and made an appointment. They asked if it matters who does the haircut, I said no. Well, I think they gave me to the most inexperienced barber in town or something, because she totally sucked. 1-Did not pay attention to what I described. 2-Just took a tiny little bit from sides and said done. 3-I told her I need to really shorten my hair (for a second time now), she then took a little bit more and left it like that. End result: Messy hair looking as bad and as long as before. By the way, the other dudes seemed a little better, maybe you should ask for a dude for haircut? read more

Good barbershop but is hit or miss. I've had great haircuts then only halfway decent cuts. Good old school vibe with the same guys every time. Under 55? Go to Richie's in Montecito. perfect haircuts, younger crowd, free drink when your ass hits the chair. read more

I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was tough to find at first (in the back by the nail place and Panda Express), but I walked right in and Paco took care of me. He gave me a great cut and as a new person to the area, I now have a neighborhood barber. read more

I've gotten great haircuts here. DO NOT LET Z TOUCH YOUR HAIR. I asked for a simple haircut and left with a half inch bald spot in the middle of my head. I've been coming here for a couple years but until that incompetent "barber" is gone I will not be returning. The owner was great, comped the cut and offered me a free cut next time, but now I have to deliver my grandmothers eulogy looking like a brain surgery patient or apache warrior. Management, if you're reading this, reach out when you fire that guy. 5 of my friends who have been long term clients saw my haircut and decided to go to goodland from here on out. You're only as strong as your weakest link. read more

Great vibe, sports talk, and an old school owner. This is by far my favorite barbershop in Santa Barbara county. I highly recommend!

Great haircut, Kane did a great job cutting my hair and gave me some good advice on a gel for my beard! I'd come back here again for sure!

I had to create a Yelp account to warn people about this place! Not only did I get a crappy haircut, but I got a bad cut. I was bleeding! Not just a small barely visible nick, but a painful gash on the corner of my ear. And all this for a simple buzz cut for $17....never again. read more

I went in for a fade and they got me in the chair right away. I get a cut every 2 weeks so im very particular. Although the girl that cut my hair did a great job and gave me what I wanted, she took a very long time, probably the longest haircut I've ever gotten. Approximately an hr and a half. She may have been new but never the less make sure your not in a hurry if you go here. read more

The barber was nice, but they did a very sloppy and uneven job. The hair length towards the back of my head was over an inch longer than the hair towards the front, so styling it with something even as strong as clay was a nightmare. My hair looked even worse when not styled. I didn't think a side part undercut would be that difficult, but it was and I had to go somewhere else to fix it. read more
