Jake & Jones - best shoe game in town!

Jake & Jones is a beautifully curated shop featuring independent designers with truly impeccable…read moretaste. Every visit feels intentional and inspiring. I've discovered so many brands here that I genuinely love and wear on repeat, including Shaina Mote, B Sides, Cawley, Flore Flore, Hai, &Daughter, and Ichi Antiquités. They also carry Living Libations, a line of organic, pure, renegade beauty products that aligns perfectly with the shop's thoughtful ethos. I'm especially obsessed with the Frankincense Best Skin Ever. Yes, it's an investment, but the pieces are exceptionally well made and designed to last. This is slow fashion and conscious consumption done right. I don't come here to splurge all the time. I'm intentional about whether I'll truly wear something, and when it makes sense, I go for it. Other times, I just browse and get inspired, so don't let sticker shock stop you from checking it out. The staff is always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable without ever feeling pushy. They also offer a one-time store credit or exchange for eligible items within 10 days of purchase. All sale items are final. Pro tip: subscribe to their mailing list for some sweet deals here and there. A must-visit if you appreciate independent designers, timeless style, and quality over quantity.

I've been going this store for multiple years when I'm in town. The clothing is way overpriced boho…read morefast fashion, but I figured it was worth a look. I also knew a lot of people had bad experiences there. Last visit I went by on bike. I couldn't find a bike rack anywhere near the store. I asked the owner if I could bring it inside. She immediately shouted no and launched into a speech about all her stuff in her store. She told me I could leave my bike propped against a tree out front. This is terrible advice. Anyone in Santa Barbara knows you leave a bike- ANY bike, much less an expensive bike leaning aguante something, that bike is no longer yours. Totally fine if she doesn't want the bike in her spacious store. She could suggest the closest bike RACK so the bike could be locked. Lots of people bike in SB so I'm sure I wasn't the only one needing a little direction to park and shop. Her rude attitude and irresponsible advice- plus ridiculous prices, no thanks!! Will never come back here. Tons of super rad boho stores like Dylan Star and Sirena with nice staff to spend at instead.

The jewelry is beautiful (I've gotten my wife some incredible pieces), great hat selection,, and tons of gift options for friends. Both Erica and Oakley are super helpful and offer honest suggestions on styles and what looks good. Seriously one of my favorite stores in SB! Feels good to shop local!

It's a small store and possibly understaffed. On a Tuesday during the market, they're kind of busy…read moreand there's not little to no area to lay out the sunglasses under consideration . Unlike some other sunglass huts, as well as other sunglass stores, they don't offer you a basket or a tray to put the ones you may be considering I had questions about the chromatic polarized versus polarized and impact on car head up display. Erik did not know what I was talking about which is OK. I explained it a few times and he seemed a little annoyed, so I got it out onto the phone to make sure I was describing it clearly. I think Corporate should do a better job of empowering and informing their managers. It's important that when you're selling sunglasses that are polarized that will make heads up display on cars not work that they know about that and at least are familiar with that concept. I felt like I had to convince him that this was really a thing! When I asked if he could get more information about this because perhaps their new technology that they are pushing with the chromatic might somehow address this issue. I have no idea and it's a good question Again he said he didn't know and all he would do is call another manager who probably wouldn't know. I was surprised because I thought that he could get a hold of Corporate to get more information and technical support about the products being offered I felt like he was annoyed with the questions. It was a very disappointing experience. I don't think I'll ever go back to the sunglass hut.

Avoid this store at all costs! I bought a pair of Oakley sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, and they…read moresold me the display model without telling me. I later realized the box wasn't original, and the sunglasses had grease near the ears and a small scratch--clearly not brand new. (Sunglass Hut is supposed to sell you new products, not display models with signs of wear--especially at full price.) When I went back to return them, the so-called "owner" was extremely rude and refused to honor the return, even though they knowingly sold me a handled, used product at full price. This is shady business and totally unacceptable. Incredibly rude guy. If you're spending your hard-earned money, go somewhere else where they actually respect their customers and sell what they advertise. I will never shop here again, and neither should you!
