I am a semi-frequent flyer at Ace Rivington. I have four of the flannel shirts and I am completely in love with them. They fit perfectly (with 36" long arms, finding shirts with sleeves long enough is a challenge). The weight and construction of the shirt is perfect for spring and fall days, as well as evenings on the sea. My short sleeve travel shirt with the maps always gets compliments when I'm out and about, as does my other short sleeved shirt. I may try the jeans... a set of well fit jeans would certainly compliment the excellent shirts. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Yes, they are Santa Barbara prices, but you get an expert fit and you look better for it. Glad to hear that Beau has the new and larger store open. I've been an online customer of Ace Rivington for years, but finally had the opportunity to visit the Santa Barbara store in person last week. Wow!!! I was blown away at the live shopping experience. The entire staff, from the owner Beau, and the rest of the team were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as I made my way around the store. I happened to be wearing a pair of my Ace Rivington "Athletic Tapered" jeans and the staff immediately gave me tips on the tailoring/alterations that might be needed to make these jeans fit more comfortably. These were already my favorite jeans I wear, but after getting a personal fitting from the team at Ace, my jeans are truly customized just for me. In life, you get what you pay for and there is no doubt, but I will be an Ace customer for life. Ace Rivington has recently relocated to a store off State Street at La Arcada (previously Socorro) in downtown Santa Barbara. After years working for a commercial denim company, his store has 'hit the press' by focusing on high-quality denim that is all made locally in California and has the lowest impact on the environment. He sources the denim fabric from a Candiani Denim Mill in Italy and uses laser-wash versus potassium which can be dangerous to those who produce the jeans. You cannot beat the service here! It is a bit on the pricey side but with all of the attention to detail, style and service, you will get your money worth. I have been several times and loved everything I purchased. I even had them add some patches to one slick denim vest I got as a gift (that also purchased here) and they did a great job at a fair price. We came in here after searching for men's clothing places in Santa Barbara. The owner, Beau, is not only a great host in his store, but a great host for Santa Barbara in general! 2 minutes into being in the store he asked how long we were in town, then gave us amazing recommendations for food and drinks in the area. My husband got 2 short sleeve shirts made by Beau (the owner and designer) that we're super cute and well fitting, an awesome weekender bag, and the best piece was a leather belt that was fitted and personalized specifically for him. A while ago I bought some jeans and shirts from Ace Rivington. I can say now that they're some if my favorite articles of clothing and haven't lost their shape or color despite heavy use. The jeans are excellent and are a permanent part of my rotation. Additionally, I bought a niche fragrance at AR called the Saint Rita Parlor signature fragrance. It's hands down one of the best fragrances I own and I wouldn't have found it had it not been at AR. I bought my first pair when they were a pop up shop in the Funk Zone and they have been my favorite pair of jeans ever since. Beau knows denim and has a passion that translates into each pair. I cleared my closet of all my old jeans and now have 4 pair of Ace. Just bought my 4th pair last week in raw selvage and Beau altered the length right on the spot!
