The best clothing store in town for us "older" women. Personal service you just can't find many places these days. Went in to find an outfit for a wedding celebration this summer. The owner brought me several things to try on and was very patient and pleasant. There were several other women in the store also looking for the "perfect" special outfit. I'm at an age where loose and blousey and drapery really works - and this store is the ONLY STORE in town that has the most delightful clothes along these lines! I agree with other reviewers about Natasha and her staff being so helpful if you're dashing in to look for something - they've always been helpful, bringing out things, putting them back, try this and this! I've been in a few times when I've discovered I'm downtown in the wrong clothes, on my way to a public situation, have run in yelling for help - and within 20 minutes have walked out beautifully re-arranged. I am so sorry to report such bad treatment today in one of my (formerly) favorite stores... It was impersonal, selfish, and rude. It's too bad I couldn't complain to the owner, because she was the one who "helped" me! She obviously doesn't really care about local, faithful customers, which I have been for over 10 years. I have been going to Natasha's for many years.....the sales women are ALWAYS helpful, if you want help.....but if you don't, you can browse all you want. Since they know all the inventory, it's so much easier if they help. I tell them the occasion, how I want to look (exotic, conservative, beachy, cocktails, etc) and they know exactly what to bring me to the dressing room - FUN !!!!! I've purchased things at Natasha's before it comes into style.... I can name a few items I bought that I saw 3 years later in department stores , but most of their inventory is so different that you'll never seen anyone wearing what you're wearing - get ready for compliments! read more

I have shopped this store over the last few years and have had a very nice experience . This time I was treated very badly. I am a size xl and the last time I looked that did not put me on the terrorist watch list but you would not know that by the way the employees treated me. This is truly a great store, for all women's clothing. I fluctuate between xtra large and 1x and I have found wonderful pieces that fit and compliment my wardrobe. They have great sales racks for those of us who have to watch our budgets more tightly. A Santa Barbara treasure and would recommend it highly for any woman to visit this store at least once. I have been a frequent shopper of Natasha's clothes the last 20 years. I love her selection and her good taste. However, I received a fairly expensive tee shirt from her (with an Asian logo) for my birthday. I loved it, but after a few washings on the delicate cycle, I discovered a cluster of small holes near the bottom of the shirt. I'd never had any trouble with any purchases over the years from Natasha's, so without any worries, I returned the shirt to Natasha herself and pointed out the small holes. She quite rudely inspected the garment and declared that I had somehow caused the damage myself (fell into a pronged thing?) although I assured her I had not, that it was a victim of my washing machine. She finally handed me another shirt to replace it, making it very clear that she still didn't believe me, that the pronged thing was at fault. Obviously I was very disappointed, happy to receive the replacement shirt, but sad that my favorite store in Santa Barbara had so let me down. Yeah Natasha, I'm a liar, you caught me! I bought a very overpriced shirt at Natasha and was charged twice for the item on my debit card. I called the store several times to try and get the charge reversed but no on answered so I left a message. No one called me back so I had to run over on my lunch hour. The manager was very rude and said that she had to go to her house where her records were to get the receipts for the day. She could not help me until the next day. She kept repeating that they did not process the charge twice. I told her to call her credit card processing company and she reluctantly did. They told her that there was a problem and that other customers had had duplicate transactions debited from their card. I asked her to call me back when the problem was resolved. She did not. Evidently the processing company reversed the second charge. I will not shop there again due to the attitude of the owner and the high prices. read more
