The garlic noodles are must and the spicy tuna crispy rice. The crispy pepper calamari was good. I do love a well seasoned Carpaccio. My favorite drink here was the Henney sidecar. I love Wokcano and the Burbank location is great bc there's a parking structure in the back that looks like it's for apartments but it's free 2 hour parking! The food here is super delicious. I highly recommend the lychee martini. The calamari was a great starter. The beef chow fun was really good and the beef was super tender and not hard. We made it a combo because I love miso salad and hot and sour soup. The hamachi carpaccio was thick and came with a lot of pieces. Loved the crispy rice & spicy tuna too. And the truffle salmon roll was yummy! The staff is super friendly and accommodating and their booths are huge and comfy! They don't have an official dessert menu but we got all of their cakes and my favorite was the citrus cake and the chocolate cake was also really good. I'm so thankful that they accepted my online order at 12am. 1 hour before closing on a Friday. There was also a deal online, spend $20, get $5 off. I am a long-time fan of Wokano except my last 2 times. I work for an airline and it's a great late night option when we arrive. Good; late night happy hour from 10-12. Great drinks... well the lemon drop. Can order when you land the airport and it's ready when you get to the restaurant. Bad: Prices higher than pre-covid and it was always a little high. Charges $1 extra for Wasabi and ginger each. Food, average at best. (In my Kevin Samuel's voice) It doesn't come with every sushi roll. I tipped on my pickup order and would not offer Wasabi without me running my card again. That's OK, I'll check out other late night options. Ugly: Service. Took an hour after online order and several asks from different people for my online order the time before this because I also say and had food and drinks. The roll was not the same after sitting. Tonight I tipped 20% and I couldn't get Wasabi. It would have been more money for them to charge a dollar on my card. Oh well, luckily, there are other great restaurants in the area. Love this spot for reliable American Chinese favorites. Interior is quite nice and chic for a suburban-skewing location and staff is always friendly. Except for Friday & Saturday nights, parking is usually pretty easy to find in one of the lots in the immediate area. I recently also ordered their food through Uber delivery, and everything was the same great taste and quality as I've had in the restaurants. My most favorite beef noodle dish in LA is Wokcano's Shanghai Lo Mein. They make it so savory and flavorful and closest to the beef lo mein I used to get from a Chinese takeout in New Jersey in the 80s. Vibes here are really nice, staff was very sweet and helpful. The menus don't have pictures so I ordered the late night sushi roll which sounded amazing but upon it arriving to the table I realized it was served baked which I wasn't expecting. The roll itself is really great it's packed with scallops and has a nice sauce on top, I'm not a huge fan of heated sushi rolls so I personally wouldn't order this again. As for the cucumber salad it was nice and light had a good kick of spice to it as well. The crab wontons were really nice also, great flavor especially dipped with the sauce. I was lucky enough to win $75 to spend for dinner here, and despite having a practically comped meal, none of the staff treated us any differently. They kindly greeted us when we arrived and made sure to let us know that they'll be taking care of us, and got us a seat by the window. Ended up deciding on 3 entrees and 1 sushi roll for our meal: Truffle Salmon Roll: omg so yum! we were pleasantly surprised by the fish quality at Wokcano. although the rolls are on the smaller side, the quality and flavors are great and would definitely recommend. Honey Walnut Shrimp: crispy and sweet! hits the spot if you're a fan of this dish. Spicy Garlic Eggplant: a little bit too salty on its own but great with rice! Perfectly cooked and great flavor. Black Pepper Beef Mignon: Very generous portions and huge, tender pieces of beef. You can tell it's tenderized with corn starch but I prefer this over tough beef. Flavor was on point but this dish is also best had with rice. We upgraded to meals, which gave us each a serving of white rice + choice of soup (hot & sour or miso) + salad. The salad was sooo yummy haha, left no scraps. Service was prompt and diligent. We enjoyed our dinners very much :) Been looking forward to returning sometime! read more

We ordered the entire menu for my wife's birthday celebration and loved every item. No question the food is amazing here, yes it reminds you of panda a bit but elevated beyond measure. What caught me by surprise was the spicy tuna crispy rice, super delish. The reason behind my review isn't for just the food but, for Joanna. I've been to the highest rated restaurants and bistros all throughout cali and have never received service like she gave us. Every thing was on point with her, she took the orders from over twenty of us perfectly, came back quick, never said no and was so thoughtful throughout the night. She even brought out the cake! We were seated in the private room which seats a good 25 maybe even 30 people and it was nice, the restaurant could use slight touch ups to make it new again but we don't go to this restaurant to stare at the walls lol. The Peacock roll was the most unique sushi roll I have ever had. The batter almost taste like funnel cake. We were full and ordered another Peacock. It's that good. I was so excited to show my husband this restaurant, and tbh ... i was embarrassed when we walked out. I was highly disappointed and that's for lack of better words. Let me start by saying I used to work at wakcano a few years ago, and the quality of food has dropped immensely. The prices were high as usual, but wakcano has always been on the pricier side for what it is, but in many ways worth it (back then) Upon arrival we were greeted and quickly sat by the host, the server was quick to approach us and take our order. No complaints what so ever. Customer service was ok. Restaurant and restrooms were both clean. The problem starts with the food, the orange chicken was soggy, and a bit sour on top of being bland. The chicken alone was tough to bite on. The crunchy roll was ummm literally not crunchy, and tasted like nothing, also had huge chunks of Philadelphia cheese. The roll reminded me of 7/11 version of sushi rolls. And the wings omg the wings, how could anyone mess up that dish, they're literally wings!!! Frozen wings that get fried with garlic, jalapeños and scallions. Aside from smelling so good, they weren't. They tasted like nothing and hurt to eat because of how over cooked they were. Stepping out into the streets of Downtown Burbank from Magnolia Blvd to Angeleno Ave, off the vibrant boulevard of San Fernando... I'd considered ordering delivery during most of 2020, but thought an in-person visit wouldn't compare and I was right... 2021 is the year! It was a perfect afternoon with the perfect server! Cierra was so warm, personable, considerate and attentive. She sat me at the perfect table with a great view of the scenic nature of Burbank across from Gordon Biersch and so many local, favorite and small spots that illuminate life in this SFV city of possibility. I knew what I wanted. The one item under the vegan category on their menu... Vegan Kung Pao Chicken, a medley of plant based perfection, savory sauce and mild to medium spice. The vegetable, onions, asparagus, zucchini, peppers and peanuts. I added a side of brown rice (not shade to the jasmine, we like you too) and paired with a nice tall glass of Golden Road Mango Cart Ale. Wokcano Burbank has a solid craft beer, cocktail and wine variety... Though a nice Riesling would be great on their list... especially to go with their delicious Vegan KPC and a lot of their wide variety of Asian fierce fusion eats for meatatarians, vegetarians and vegans alike. A lot of gluten free options by why of sushi, salad and beyond. Aside from the food and service, the outdoor layout is quite impressive and well spread out. The inside is really nice and intimate yet just as inviting as the great outdoors. They stay busy here, but never too busy to help and please. I wasn't sure about salads and/or simple vegetable rolls, like cucumber, avocado and/or vegetable as they aren't on the downloadable menu via table barcode scan or online... However my super server Cierra let me know Wokcano can do just about anything you want they way you want it! So veggies rolls will be a must try next time! Oh my can they do vegetable dumplings O.O... The do have parking in back though there is a lot of street parking as well depending on the time of day. I placed an order over the phone in advance so it would be ready for my guests. When I arrived, I was shocked to find out the order was never placed. My husband then waited while the order was prepared, only for us to discover once we got home that it was incorrect. I called and was told my message would be passed on to the manager, and that I would be contacted. It's been days and I've heard nothing back.
