Everything is delicious and they have that amazing oil red chili paste. Also the boba is good. They have anything you can want from a Chinese food place. The bathrooms are clean and that says a lot. Been going to Wok In Kitchen since they first opened years ago. Food is always fresh, delicious and NO MSG. I've left positive reviews before BUT I had to leave a new one because they finally started serving COCONUT SHRIMP! It's a specialty side so you gotta order it but that's just a guarantee it'll be fresh and ready. Is it as good as the rest of their food? Almost TOO good! So much for my diet!! I have to review again how much I love this place! When I lived in Riverside I would eat here at least once a week. The chow mein is the best fast food chow mein I have ever had in my life. The noodles are very fresh, whatever you do, please never change how you make those noodles. The bbq pork is also amazing there. So good, not fast food level at all. I have yet to find a Chinese place this good. I also get the grilled chicken, doesn't even need the sauce it is always juicy and flavorful. I moved to San Diego a few years ago and I will drive all the way to Riverside on my day off to grab some of this food for the week. So I had to walk and find a place to eat after I had my pedicure at 7 and Rose Nail Salon. This is the nearest one and I suddenly crave for chow mien. I had chow mien, bbq and spicy orange chicken and they are so good. The bbq pork(I ask the lady to put sauce on top) tastes so nice. The combos are so small they barely give you any / enough meat, you have to upgrade to a higher combo just in order to get enough meat on one plate and to top it off the food is not even good! The only thing good here are the soups and even with that I have to ask to have things added that should typically come in a Chinese shrimp wonton soup like GREEN ONIONS!! Also I got food to go and I asked for chopsticks and a spoon for my soup and it was not even in the bag when I got home and the girl (although she was nice, all staff seemed nice), looked me right in my face and said that she put it all in the bag and u see my receipt said shrimp wonton. Get home and there are nooooo WONTONS IN THIS SOUP!!!!!! I Called back !! THE GIRL ON SHIFT TODAY 8/1/17 is great. This my new, happy discovery in strip mall Chinese food. The teriyaki chicken was flavorful; the kung pao chicken was delicious as well with veggies that were tender and not mushy. As I ordered I looked at the menu for future possibilities. There are a number of shrimp dishes that I've got to try. And the soups looked incredible! I didn't think it was that great. :/. It's not terrible, but I've had better. The people are extremely friendly and polite. However, I can't say they are very sanitary. My very first time there, I ordered veggies, half noodles half rice, and the veggie egg option (looks like an omelette). The guy took it, laid it on the same cutting board where they have been cutting the teriyaki chicken (and pork items!), and cut my veggie egg side on it with the same knife. Lastly, before I got to the end of my order I noticed the lady before me paying for her food...one of the ladies that worked there was closing her styrofoam plate and some of her food fell out next to the cash register, in which the worker continued to pick up and place back into the dish with the rest of the food. I've learn something from yelp reviews, they could be misleading base solely on personal preference. For example; this place has friendly staff, they serve with promptly matter. clean place. downfall: in my personal opinion, their fried rice is bland, chicken has way to much skin, teriyaki sauce tastes water downed and nothing like traditional teriyaki. this is base in my personal opinion, people might actually enjoy the taste of bland rice or cheap teriyaki, I say this people because this place has good reviews and yet I found it not up to my expectations. for this reason, I try goig to places with bad reviews because everyones taste is different. I've learn on yelp not to trust everything people say on reviews. sidenote, I didn't know there was a $10 minimum charge to use a debit card. I told the lady to charge extra to use the card, she was kind enough not to charge me extra but she did say that next time she won't be able to do the transaction with the card if I don't spend $10 or over. read more
