    Mushroom chicken lunch special
    Tamara S.

Solid lunch deal. Quiet, clean, older restaurant in older strip mall. In center next to Jurupa 14 movie theater. We went twice this week, to this cute little hidden gem and to the cinema. Reagan is a good movie. It was informational. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a bit campy and silly, But I love Tim Burton so I like it simply because he stayed true to the original and didn't make this sequel all new cinema/AI junk. I appreciate his attention to staying the course. That in itself made it a triumph of many many many films i have seen past 20 years and more pointedly past 5 years. Back to Jasmine Garden. We had lunch specials both visits. Mushroom chicken is really clean tasting and not over seasoned. Same for the broccoli chicken. The broccoli chicken is the best I have had anywhere...and I have ordered it all over the PNW, California and Nevada :) Hubby liked the sweet n sour pork but said it needed more salt (pay him no mind, he overalls everything. And WHO salts any sweet n savory dish?? him. haha) The egg rolls are perfect with this in house made dipping sauce. On its own, I didn't care for the sauce. It is not the bottled overly sweet bright red sauce we usually find. This was unique and complimented the egg rolls perfect. Good balance in the egg roll. Not too many veggies, bean sprouts, where it is hard to bite thru...maybe they are more of a spring roll but I think there was ground pork in there too... im not sure now. Be sure to ask if you do not eat meat or specifically no pork. The cream cheese wonton was light and great crunch, good ratio of cream cheese filling to not overfill and explode:) Egg flower soup is PERFECT. No peas n corn (THANK YOU) The chicken broth base is so perfect. I had egg flower on 1st visit and wonton yesterday. I loved the untainted flavor of the chicken broth in the wonton BUT I guess because these are made in house not frozen, they only gave me 1 small wonton and about 6 thin squares of cabbage. That was a thin bowl...but the flavor of that broth...MAGIC. Hubby had hot & sour soup and said it was a good balance of tangy and hot. ANYONE gets unwell in our house and I am coming HERE to just buy broth. Fried rice option with lunch special is good. Not a lot added to it but good flavor So- come here. Get a tall glass of ice water, enjoy your meal and know the ingredients are fresh and real. Big thumbs up for this little spot! The 20inute drive is more than worth it.

My wife and I came in here after working out in a nearby gym. We saw that they had a dinner special for $13 and decided to give this place a try! For the price, we were both pleasantly surprised! The restaurant isn't anything fancy nor is it really decorated, but the service was prompt and the portion sizes were generous! Also, the dinner special came with soup and egg rolls. Lastly, the food tasted great! My wife and I aren't massive Chinese food aficionados, but we were pleased with the flavors! Would return after a workout again!

Oh wow what a surprise. We were driving around looking for a food joint and dropped in to Jasmine Garden. The waitress was very friendly and quick to take our order. There was no one in the place when we arrived but others came in afterwards. The mooshu chicken was flavorful and better than expected. The portion was large so I am taking some home. My wife loved the sweet and sour shrimp . Gave it a five of five. I can't speak to it since I didn't taste it. Allergic to pineapple. The hit was the beef ramen. My daughter who typically eats little throughly enjoyed the soup. The place is a little old on the interior but it's clean. We'll be back.

I don't do Uber Eats, Door Dash or any other food delivery services so I can only speak from take out and dine in experiences. I've been coming to Jasmine Garden for a minute and this place isn't your typical Chinese fast food establishment. Jasmine Garden makes the food when you order it. No heat lamps or warming trays. You order it, they make it. Located in a strip mall near Crunch Fitness, Jasmine Garden is as low key as it gets. I've gotten food to go but dine-in is always the preference. Let me give you a caveat. The server doesn't just work the tables. They're also working the phones and taking care of to-go orders. It's a small operation but they're doing their best! Be patient! Their menu has all the favorites. I've had the a couple of their offerings and every time the food is fresh, tasty and filling. The lunch/dinner specials include soup, a cream cheese wonton and an egg roll. Lunch specials (11am-4pm daily) will run you $9.45. Dinner specials go up to $11.45. It's a great deal and I've never left hungry. If you're looking for fast food, there are other establishments out there but if you want freshly made Chinese food then Jasmine Garden is for you. The food is fantastic, my experience with service has always been good and they're a local business doing their best to navigate the pandemic as we all are. Highly recommended!

Our favorite dinner spot. Jenny greets us, as always. We quickly get our drinks. In 5 minutes, we get our egg rolls and crab Rangoon. 18 minutes we get 5 dinner entrees cooked perfectly, always the best, and a lot of it. Jenny is the best and keeps an eye on you if you need anything.

This place in a nut shell: it's a family style Chinese food place, they offer boba, ramen and pho Why I came here: my little cousin wanted to come here, she likes the kung pao tofu What I ordered and review: We ordered the house spicy noodles, the bbq pork ramen and the the kung poa tofu and mango lemonades to drink The bbq pork came out first looking scrumptious as hell. My little cousin 4/5 The kung poa tofu my other little cousin loves and she gave it a a 5/5 The house spicy noodles came on a hot place, the fumes of the spicy almost killed me but It was good 3.5 What makes this place special: the food is All pretty good even though there's decent Worst thing about this place: the ambiance, it's dead the lights are dim and it feels cold walking in. Final recommendation: I would get food from here to go

These folks have stepped up in their game. The food is tasting good, its fresh and they will make how you want it. I ordered it extra spicy and they did not disappoint me. The fried rice was okay! But the Kung Pao Tofu was seriously delicious. Again we are talking about American Chinese dishes and sometimes you crave that. On you know whats great that I must add, is their customer service. They are really good about maintaining covid rules and regulations. Also, there is no inside sitting. Overall, these guys have 3 stars currently on Yelp. I would give them a little over 4 cause they have certainly improved over time. Supporting local businesses is a must during these tough times. Happy Eating! And stay safe.

Our entire family grieved the loss of one of the best dim sum and Chinese cuisine restaurants in the Riverside area. But lately, there was a lot of talk, good talk, that the same owner had reopened here, a tinier bistro setting, not as flashy interior. So here we are, finally, late to the party, but sublimely happy. First things first. An order of their siu mai. Still just as plump, with their signature, wonderful pork- shrimp filling, my taste buds let out a big sigh of relief. I've had to endure some pretty horrible ones from other restaurants lately. Big Skyy's is superb. Next, the black bean pork ribs. Wonderful, just as we remembered. A healthy portion, plenty of meat in spite of the bones. Great gravy. Finally, the eggplant with beef. This one was extra special, made with generous amounts of filet mignon, eggplant cut in spears, cooked in a salty sweet garlic sauce that is very special. It was melt-in-your-mouth, swoon worthy. One of my favorites. They still accommodate large family groups, a few big round tables for 6 or more. The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. They feature the same marvelous menu and the same chef who creates those traditional Chinese dishes with pizzazz. It's wonderful to re-acquaint ourselves with an old "friend". It's even better to know, the important things we remembered have not changed a bit. You would be right to assume we will be back!

The restaurant itself is super spacious, and since we came at kind of an odd time after the lunch rush, it was really calm and relaxing inside. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, and it was really good. The calamari was crispy, lightly seasoned, and still tender inside, which made it super satisfying to eat. I do wish it came with a dipping sauce, but we already had sweet and sour sauce on the table and ended up using that instead, which actually paired really well with it. We also got the Chicken Pad Thai, which honestly impressed me a lot. The portion size was huge for the price, I think it was around $12-13, which felt really worth it for how much food we got. The noodles were flavorful, well cooked, and had a good balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors without feeling too heavy. The people working there were really welcoming and kind, and it felt like a family-run restaurant, which made the experience feel even more comforting and homey.

Considering these were complimentary, I'm not going to complain. Soup was my okay. my mapo tofu came with a side of white rice. Upgrading to brown or fried rice will cost you an additional $1. This is the most bizarre mapo tofu I've ever had. Rather than the traditional ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, this came with long strips of fried pork and no mushrooms. I'm also used to thicker sauce, but this one was very watery. A tad spicy, but not over bearing. Maybe a recipe from a different Provence of china? Not what I was looking for. $15.00 later and a fortune cookie...and I was done. Not sure if I'd come here for the mapo tofu again. Others in the restaurant offered the 2-3 item combos. Typical orange chicken or Kung Pao chicken w rice or chow mein. Not my thing.

Everything tastes good. I just finished my leftovers and I'm already craving the noodles since they were so soft. The restaurant is clean and modern with big windows and an outdoor patio. If it weren't so hot (We came on a 100F day) it looked like a nice place to eat under the umbrellas. I accidentally spilled a jar of hot sauce which for some reason had a loose removable lid and one of the waitresses was quick to clean it up for us. She was nice about it, too, like she could've easily copped an attitude with us about it, but didn't. A man next to us said he accidentally did the same thing which makes me think they need to find a different container for that sauce. There's a huge parking lot, so that wasn't a problem. However, the area directly in front of the restaurant and the other shops near it were sectioned off with yellow caution tape for some reason and my sister said it looked like a murder scene, which made me laugh. I'm fairly sure that wasn't the case, but I don't know why they did it. The only reason I knew the restaurant was open for business was because I saw people eating inside through the windows.

First, I arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday, which is important to highlight because they're closed on Mondays, and I suspect one dish I tried had the texture of leftovers (from the weekend). Part of me wants to try again later in the week, and day to see if this was a fluke. What I ordered was a rice bowl with braised pork belly and daily vegetables. Everything was good except the pork was dry and tough, clearly not braised that day or heated all the way through. I forget what my first choice was, but it wasn't available that day. My other item was the wonton soup, which also disappointed me for a few reasons. Portion size is good, but the broth tasted really thin, watery, and the wontons were overcooked and falling apart. The cause was they were forgotten about and the pot boiled over. Generally, you cook these below the boil to prevent the cloudy mess from disintegrating skins. The filling tasted fine, but again, overall flavors and balance was marred. I did, however, enjoy the lenon tea that comes with every combination meal. And, the employees are very nice, but the food didn't make the cut. They have a big menu and I've seen the skewers and hot pots in action so I know there's potential.
