Got takeout here! Tried the honey walnut shrimp, mango chicken, war wonton soup (super fresh wontons with bok choy), beef and broccoli and more! Everything was great and food was ready on time. Only note is the mango chicken and honey walnut shrimp are very similar sauce. Both delicious but if you are looking for options next time will be trying the orange chicken!

I was introduced to this play by a coworker a few years back. Been coming by for lunch ever since. The portion of food is crazy large. I've brought other coworkers here and many of them will have to tap out and bring their lunch home. I am totally a creature of habit and the owner knows it too...when my coworker and I stop by for pho Friday he already knows what we wanted. Pho Dac Biet with some egg rolls. Friendly service and great food. Can't beat that combination.

Stumbled upon this place while driving up to Huntington Beach on a Saturday afternoon and it's a small mom and pop shop off the 405. We got there around 2pm and we were the only customers. The portion sizes here are HUUUGE!!! For a party of 3 we family styled it and ordered 2 Vermicelli Bowls (with Pork, Shrimp, Eggrolls), Popcorn Chicken, and Spring Rolls (Pork and Shrimp). This was wayyy too much food, we finished 1.5 of the vermicelli bowls, the spring rolls, and we actually ended up barely touching the popcorn chicken and taking it to-go. All this food plus 2 Vietnamese Coffees, and 1 Lemon Drink was under $100 including tax and tip. That's nuts and unheard of these days. Highly recommend this place, it's a great place to get a solid meal for cheap!

Good was delicious. Was craving Honey Walnut Shrimp and searched Yelp and found this place. Owner was nice and friendly easy to have conversations with. Food was amazing and quick serving. We ordered Spring Rolls (the peanut sauce is flavorful and delicious), Honey Walnut Shrimp and Shrimp fried rice. Honey walnut shrimp was amazing and crunchy. Made fresh. Shrimp fried rice was delectable. Took leftovers home and added an egg for breakfast the next day. Win! Win

A locals gem and a true staple of the community. Best broth in Orange County and enough cannot be said to show how clean this place is. The place is a piece of home where the owner remembers who you are and always makes an effort to make you feel comfortable.....in the middle of summer we've been here twice in one week...if that doesn't say enough. The pho is the reason we come, but the aero dynamic fashion and hygiene of the owner is why we stay. Man is quick with it from the kitchen and offers awesome service while also ready for a workout at any time. We will continue to be coming to wok-in as one of our regular staples and appreciate the detail that is taken to keep this place spotless and delicious.

Tucked in a corner of an old strip mall, lies Wok-in. Shared parking lot. We got here on a weekday for lunch around 1230pm and was able to get table for 2. Service was slow and hard to get attention. The place was not packed however there were to-go orders being processed at the same time. We ordered spring rolls (you can request to modify the ingredients), pho and fish in garlic sauce (a few reads from yelp reviews mentioned this dish). But it was overpowering with too much sauce. However in my experience it was ok, nothing extraordinary. What I loved was the pho broth. Protein was less but the flavor was amazing. The fresh spring rolls were a delight with the dipping sauce. Perfect crunch to it. I wasn't a fan of the slow service and the fact that the server/cashier/food runner (all are the same person) was wearing a sleeveless outfit while rushing around. Just not hygienic. Update: You can run all the show you want but if your attitude towards hygienics is less important then I will choose to be comfortable else where. This is based on the business reply I received.

Update. I have coarse curly hair. There was short straight hair in my food. Check your cameras when I literally had to pull the hair out of my throat. Your response is a perfect example of your customer service. I wasn't done eating we were about to order more food. I have doctor diagnoses and pictures to prove my experience. WORSE EXPERIENCE!!!! First when I was there I found a piece of hair in my PHO. Then when I told the waiter, he was nothing short of rude and hostile. Then the worst part is my poor son ended up with food poisoning from this place. He lost 10 lbs in the last 5 days. I will never come back here again.

I had a really good meal at Wok-In / Costa Mesa. I did not anticipate the portion sizes that they serve. The entire order was cooked to order and fresh. The Hot & Sour Soup had a great spicy taste and comes in a very large (meal size) bowl. I ordered a side of Spring Rolls and Chicken Lo Mein for the entree. The entire meal was more than I could handle. The Chicken Lo Mein could be shared with two people easily. The food and service were excellent. I can see why there are so many repeat customers coming back regularly. Nice local neighborhood restaurant.

This place is a not pretentious hidden gem, the best Vietnamese Chinese fusion I've had in Orange County. My favorite is the beef chow fun. Every dish I have tried does not disappoint! When I brought my Vietnamese girlfriend here she exclaimed this is the best pho with bone broth she's ever had, better than in Westminster or garden grove. The customer service is very attentive and on par. Don't bother with DoorDash for take out just call in your order with Bruce. read more

The food was delicious, but tended to be on the spicy side. I prefer to make that decision myself, but overall everyone, including myself, at our table enjoyed our meals. The ladies bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but it is an old building and they do tend to take more care. Staff was excellent and service was as well. Our group will return. read more

I really wanted to like this place because they had a dish my boyfriend really enjoys (wonton egg noodle) We ordered the wonton egg noodles and the pho with brisket. The prices were good, and the pho came in a HUGE bowl; my boyfriend and I could've easily shared it. However, both dishes were a bit too salty for our liking, though they weren't bad. I was hoping we would enjoy it, especially since it's so close by and not many places offer wonton egg noodles. It's not terrible, but there are better places for pho out there. read more

Wok-In has some good options if you're craving Chinese food, but it's not the best around. The flavors are decent, and the portions are generous, but I've had better. The Pho is the best! Egg rolls are also a go-to - and I've ordered Chinese food from here too. If you want to support local businesses, and good food, you'll come here. Sort of a "beyond" moment: one time I called, placed the pick-up order, and forgot to give them my name. I'm assuming they had caller ID because when I came to pick up, the order was spot-on and they had my info on the ready. This shows the intuitive/old-school vibe they have. Not expected, but very grateful for it. This is a rare thing. It's a family-run business, so don't give them any nonsense for closing to go on vacation or accommodate for family etc....They deserve to, just like you or anybody else does. Y'all need to fix yourselves if you don't understand this. read more

Easy parking, good pricing, great portion size and yummy food = 5 stars! It's a pretty casual family-run business from what I see. There seems to be a lot of customers who call in their orders and get it to-go. I have only dined in so far and the experiences have been great. We have never waited to get seated (even on busier days) because they are so quick to take your order and bring your food out. They're usually good about refilling beverages but if it gets busy, I've seen people grab their own refills. Same with checks - when it's slower, we've asked for it but during busier times, we just walk up to the register. We're glad to have found this spot - it's the only place my husband wants to go for pho! read more

The food here is absolutely delicious! I had the house special shrimp and it was delightful. The breading was perfect, shrimp tasted fresh and the sauce was really good. My grandpa had the orange chicken and he really enjoyed it, I had a piece as well and it was fresh and crisp. My wife had the Beef Pho and it was soooo tasty. Definitely some of the best pho we have had. The owner of the location helped us pick wjat yo get, and was very helpful from start to finish. It is a family owned restaurant so totally get some TLC. The ambience us great, pretty spacious with very cool fish tanks as well. If you are in the area, I suggest you give this spot a try, you won't regret it. read more

Okay...I wasn't prepared to be pleasantly shocked by how yummy the Pho was! The broth had a complex flavor. The different seasonings melded together to develop a warm and balanced taste. The beef was tender and they didn't go cheap with the cuts. The herbs and sprouts fresh. I'm sure it would have tasted much better eating in the restaurant versus take out, but I still really enjoyed the pho. I will definitely be coming back to try more items. Wok-In is located in an old strip mall serving up a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese food. I was lured into this small mom and pop restaurant by some menu pictures I saw of 3 item combos for $7.50. I didn't find any such specials when I arrived, so I decided to go with a Vietnamese noodle dish. Vermicelli with shrimp and egg roll $9 - This came with some vermicelli noodles, julienned veggies (pickled daikon, cucumbers, and carrots), green onions, 4 cooked pieces of shrimp, a chopped up veggie roll (had to specify veggie and not pork), and some chopped peanuts. Everything tasted all right and the pricing was reasonable. While I didn't find any super bargain deals here, the vermicelli noodle dish wasn't bad and was reasonably priced. If I'm in a hurry and looking for a reasonably priced place to eat, Wok-In fits the bill. read more

This place is hands-down one of my favorite, if not, most favorite Asian restaurants in SoCal! We frequent many restaurants locally and internationally and this place beats the many Chinese-Vietnamese restaurants we eaten over the years. Bruce has impeccable customer interactions and not only remembers everyone's names, but what they've previously ordered. He truly pays attention to customers' palate while recommending new dishes for us to try. Those who don't appreciate the food here, you either no taste buds OR you are use to eating frozen foods, lol. P.S. I highly recommend the iced tea (freshly brewed), kungpao chicken and Pho!! read more

I work at the dive bar right next to this food establishment..And I will say with inflation...You spend a little bit of money and you get a lot of food and the food is very good. I would highly recomm.end this place for anyone looking for a great meal without breaking the bank. Bruce is an awesome guy and.. it's well worth the money spent read more

Worst place ever!!!!!!! I went here about a week ago with my boyfriend. We sat down and ordered water and a lemonade one lady brought two waters and walked away. I looked at the waters and the cups were dirty and the water was warm with stuff floating inside of it. Two more people walked past us and didn't even notice us then we asked for the lemonade again and it was never brought to us so we asked a third person and finally was brought to us and it was water with lemonade powered settled at the bottom and tasted like just powder. Then we ordered the steak and chicken fried rice and egg rolls the egg rolls were reallllllllly good !! So I got excited and took a bite of rice and it had no taste at all then we got the meat and it was 99% raw. I told the guy up front we weren't happy and he looked at me and said "ok cool" and then he ignored me from then on so we left with out paying. Would not recommend at all!!! This is a great little spot to get delicious Chinese or Vietnamese food. They have a great selection of foods, appetizers, pho, and the Chinese takey outey favorites. I had the shrimp fried rice, fresh spring rolls, and thai tea. No complaints. The whole to go box was full of rice and they weren't skimping on the shrimp. The price is about the same as other places. Also what is great about this place is the service. We were greeted right away and menus were offered after we were asked if the order would be to go. We did have it to go so, no experience of eating inside the dining area. It looked clean though. After we ordered, the food came out very quickly. We waited about 10 minutes. The gentleman behind the counter, I believe his name was Bruce, helped me with bringing the bags and drinks to the car. Ain't this place a hidden gem. I have been here countless amount of times in the last few years and it never disappoints. The go to is always the aromatic Pho that they so perfectly craft. Other than that, the beef chow fun, Singapore, and their special vermicelli is a must have on any occasion. Sometimes we like to venture towards more traditional stuff like the Kungpao chicken and walnut shrimp. Probably the best and affordable Walnut shrimp you will find in the area. The shrimps are a decent size, perfectly fried and not too sweet! Service is always on point and they always treat you like family. This is a hidden gem, and I am finally sharing it with everyone. The orange chicken has a light batter on it and crisped to perfection. The orange sauce has specs of orange, and has the perfect amount of sweet v. tangy, it will make your mouth water. The chicken lo mein (we get it with the garlic sauce) is amazing!! Not pictured but worth the splurge, the house fried rice. It has so much meat, it is totally worth it. For the kids and adults, you have to try the garlic fries.
