Pulled Chicken Pho, Rare Sliced Beef Pho, Iced Vietnamese Coffee
Averie H.

Pho is my favorite food. It's comforting, it's filling; it's like happiness in a bowl. So I eat a lot of it, and I grew up eating here with my grandmother. Then I moved to LA. I've eaten every pho in Los Angeles. It's fine. It's doesn't move me, but it does the job. After a decade, I come back to Costa Mesa and eat at Vietnam's Pearl. MIND BLOWING. Like there isn't a single pho place in all of Los Angeles that can hold a damn candle to Vietnam's Pearl. It's literally the most perfect bowl of soup. Flavorful, rich, complex, literally huge; unchanged perfection over the last 40 years+. Even my sister, who does not like pho, was like holy crap this is amazing. I don't know what they're doing in the kitchen, but it's nothing short of magical. Get it for dine in, get it to go, who cares, just get it!

Still searching for a go to Pho spot in Costa Mesa.

Small little hidden gem in Costa Mesa. Wish the Pho bowl was bigger though. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls is to die for. Great service from a Mom and Pop shop! I'll be back soon.

The best spring rolls in OC!! Their shrimp and pork spring rolls are freshly made, flavorful, and the homemade sauce is just like mom's. Pictured below is the chefs pho which has rare beef, meatballs, and shank. With other seasonings that makes that enhances the flavor of broth. The service is pleasant, I love Serena! My other favorites are Thai tea and lemongrass beef vermicelli. Restaurant is always clean. Ample parking. Easy to find. Highly recommended for casual dining.

I would come back if in area again. The food was good the vibes were good. The owner I think she was, was so sweet and made sure we were good. We left full. The only thing I can say "bad" was the food came out at different times so we didn't get to enjoy it all at once and was too full to eat our 3rd dish but we tried because it was so good and tasted fresh. So if you like Thai food and a calm quiet space with flavor, come here. Do t forget to go next door with your receipt for a free treat with purchase.

Great service and yummy special. So glad I tried this place. The restaurant is small but very welcoming and nice.

chefs special pho

ordered the chefs special pho and it was one of the best phos i've had in a while. the soup is very rich and flavorful with a nice variety of meat. i usually don't like beef shank in pho bc it can be tough but it was so tender and falling apart in the soup. my only wish is that the bowls were bigger and gave more food as the portions feel smaller compared to other pho places.

This place was amazing. Egg rolls with fish sauce was outstanding. The service is great. The Pho was delicious.so fresh and filling. The portions are outstanding., you need a box to take home. I will definitely come again .if you don't try this place it's your loss. Great music I'll see you guys soon..

Very tasty! I will definitely be returning! The food came out relatively quick, service was good, and the place looked pretty clean.

Called a phone order for delivery' And they don't deliver The Yelp information says they do ,but maybe because they will close soon Order with Sarina Large Beef Pho And 1Large Chicken Pho And Fried Egg rolls :) Estimated time 20min Will update on flavor and quality of meat and rolls Total $33 Not a fan of the cut up egg rolls to make it seem as if you have more egg rolls So $2.50 an egg roll pretty much However the Broth to my PHO awesome But the shredded chicken a little chewy and hard May not be back

We came for dinner on a weeknight, right around 7pm and it was not busy. Seemed understaffed, took a while to get even acknowledged, get seated, and get menus. Once we got the menus, we had to flag our server just to order. It has an okay vibe to the place, not bad, but not as lively and friendly as other places we've been. About 10 minutes later, we finally got to place our order, which felt like an eternity. Considering we were one of only a couple customers, the customer service was disappointing. I felt like I needed to get up every 5-10 minutes just to get something, to order, ask for chopsticks or bowls, or get the check. Normally, a server would come once or twice to check on us, not here. The food was fine, we got lemongrass chicken and rare beef pho, prices were reasonable, not as much as we've gotten at other pho places, but it's also not as expensive either. That's the one redeeming quality of this place, which keeps the rating higher, but would have appreciated better service, which took off one star.

Pork chops
Christine A.

I visited Vietnam's Pearl with a friend while we were waiting for an event next door. We tried the pho and Grilled Pork Chop. I would say the price isn't too bad and it does the job but there is no wow-factor; wasn't really a fan of their nuoc nam either. Other reviews that mentioned lackluster service were also pretty on point. There is enough parking and the restroom is outside.

Bokyoung Y.

Spring rolls - shrimps too small, pho - broth was alright but the noodle texture was pre-cooked... and they don't serve sliced extra onions. It was ok but i think there are so many better restaurants options for Vietnamese food in OC.

The pho has a more anise leaning flavor that may be a little more unusual to the average diner, but I fell in love with it. The pho broth is clean and the portion sizes are good, especially given the area and the price. Outside of pho, the appetizer platter is amazing. All the dishes in the appetizer platter are cooked to perfection and all the vegetables are fresh and the fish sauce is so rich. It's some of the best fish sauce I've come across recently, really umami while still somehow being clean. To top it all off - the vietnamese iced coffee. I love Vietnamese iced coffee and I always order it at a Vietnamese restaurant. I've had a lot throughout my life and this is, in my opinion, the BEST Vietnamese iced coffee I have ever had. It's so good, it literally tastes like you're drinking a more coffee forward ice cream in the best way possible. It's not too sweet and leans creamy - absolute perfection. The place itself is a little small, but service is always really fast. I've only been a couple times where the place was slammed busy. If you come at off times you won't have to wait, but at peak hours you might have to wait 15-30 minutes for a table. The only real downside of this spot is the actual location. It's located on a weird strip center right after the the 55 freeway exit, and the entry points to the strip center are weird. Just be prepared not to miss the turns into the center, because it can take a while to circle back to the entries. Overall, highly recommend this place. Grab a bowl of pho and don't skip on the vietnamese iced coffee.

The garlic noodles were super flavorful, perfectly cooked, and had that rich garlicky kick without being overpowering. The bulgogi beef was tender, juicy, and had just the right balance of sweet and savory, while the chicken was cooked really well and added a nice contrast. Together, it was such a satisfying combo. Portions were generous, and you could really taste the quality of garlic in each bite. Definitely one of those meals where you're already thinking about your next visit as you're finishing up. Highly recommend! Only thing I would recommend is to brush your teeth after bc it leaves a garlic smell

I like the industrial vibe they have going on w/ live edge tables, black pipes, & farmhouse lights. I wanna take the big live edge dining table home & plop it right in my dining room! The lady at the counter was nice, taking our order with a smile, then repeating it for accuracy. The garlic chicken breast sandwich did not disappoint. It's just as I remembered it... tasty, moist, & even more delicious w/ the green sauce. The garlic noods w/ bulgogi was a new try for us; we usually get it w/ shrimp. It was yummy, but afterwards I felt like the meat was too salty. The peach & lychee green tea is my fave, while the hubbs enjoyed his Thai tea. Soo good!
