    Autumn Roll

What a unique vibe and experience here. We walked around for a bit trying to find the speakeasy, but it turns out it's inside the Bluegold restaurant through a side door. We had a reservation and couldn't be accommodated for early entry, which made sense once we arrived since the space is very small (only about 6-7 tables). The ambiance is really nice, dark, intimate, and a great place to grab a few drinks and just chill. Service was very friendly, and the small talk made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Now for the food, as a Vietnamese person, I tend to be pretty critical when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine. This felt more Americanized and tailored to a broader audience. It's elevated, but for my palate, it was just decent. Autumn Roll - Had to try this since I'd never heard of something like this in a spring roll before. It was okay, but nothing memorable, especially for $18. (3/5) Garlic Noodles - Tasted good at first, but quickly became very salty. After a few bites, the flavor started to feel overpowering and fell a bit flat. Decent, but still just simple. (3/5) Shaky Shaky Beef - Essentially an elevated Bò Lúc Lắc. Was it good? Yes. But I've had better at a fraction of the price. That said, it was the best dish we ordered. The beef was good quality and seasoned properly, just pricey at $42. (4/5) Overall, I'd say come for the vibes and experience rather than authentic Vietnamese food. Personally, "elevated Vietnamese" feels a bit strange to me since I'm used to clean, simple flavors rather than something more heavy or overpowering. It's good, but very expensive. Definitely a vibey spot worth trying once, but not somewhere I'd personally return to. Parking: Street parking is available nearby if you don't want a time limit, or you can park in the nearby shopping center lot with 2-hour validation. I appreciated that the staff proactively asked if I needed validation, a nice touch.

Delicious! Let's start with the most favorite. That's the escargot with bone marrow! Yes I said bone marrow and a side of pate spread, my goodness! Whole lotta flavors, rich, salty, beefy, decadent goodness! Will def come back for this. Next favorite, fired sea bass. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Came w/veggies & noodles, w/the traditional nuc mam (fish sauce). Made it into a wrap & dip in sauce. The caramelized shrimp & pork belly wasn't my favorite. Pork was overly cooked & hard, caramelized shrimp was soggy, overall the taste is delicious.

Way too delicious! Great flavors without being overpowering. Decor is simple yet creative. Definitely coming back!!

I came here with a party of 5 and the restaurant is essentially the same as Little Sister, which I have gone to many times. What sets this place above the little sister restaurants is the high level of service and speakeasy and intimate vibe. I would prefer this location over all of the others. We were able to try 7 items on the menu and everything was delicious! The cocktails were also very well balanced and refreshing. I would definitely return! If you have a hard time finding it, it is located inside a larger restaurant but they shared that LSXO will take over that entire space soon which hopefully means it will be easier to get reservations!

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday, and it honestly felt like such a special experience. The space is tucked away in the back corner of the Bluegold restaurant, which made this feel all the more exclusive. On our reservation, I had noted that my husband has specific seafood allergies and dietary needs, and right away our waitress let us know she'd spoken with the chef to make sure he'd be able to order safely. I loved that level of care and attention. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't offer a birthday dessert for my mom at the end, but it wasn't a big deal as we had cake waiting at home, and by that point, we were all stuffed. Their attention to detail in the design is beautiful and everything feels intentional. The food was just as thoughtfully crafted as the space. Here's what we ordered: * Autumn Roll - 4/5 - Packed with fresh veggies, though I couldn't pick up much of the Chinese sausage or candied shrimp. Still, the overall flavor was light and refreshing. * Pho Banh Cuon - 5/5 - My favorite of the night. The beef was incredibly tender, the sauce was a great add-on. * Green Papaya Salad - 4/5 - I'm not normally a papaya salad person, but this was very flavorful and refreshing. They were able to accommodate us by plating all ingredients separately and even made my husband a special dressing safe for him. * Red & Black Rice - 4/5 - This was an impressively large dish with a pile of seafood over black rice. By the time this came out, we were stuffed, but the flavor was still rich. * Fried Seabass - 4/5 - Served with rice noodles, lettuce, and fillings so you can make wraps. The portion of fish was a bit smaller than expected, but it was flavorful and well-seasoned. * Shaky Shaky Beef - 3/5 - The rice was great, but the beef was a bit on the saucier side and got a bit heavy after a few bites. Still tasty, just a bit overdone on the sauce. House Garlic Noodles - 4/5 - A huge, shareable bowl of with garlicky noodles. Noodles were a bit on the more al dente side.

So yummy! Inside of BlueGold, makes it super fun to find this speakeasy! Ambiance was great, intimate place with limited seating so it is kinda hard to get in but got lucky with their bar seating Food and service was great, drinks were also great! Amazing place and will def be back!

Here's a polisWe had an extraordinary dining experience at LSXO. Anthony was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, thoughtfully answering all of our questions about the food and wine. The music, lighting, and décor came together to create a truly memorable atmosphere for our friend's birthday. The food was well priced and easily the best meal I've had in the last few years.

I single handedly came here to rave about the "red & black rice, mussels, octopus..." aka Vietnamese take on a Paella. It was so flavorful and it was actually a lot and worth the price point. I came for the drinks, but to be honest the drinks were our least favorite and didn't live up to the expectations. We had one of the drinks redone and the server was super kind and understanding about it. The braised pork was also delicious. Overall, it is pricey for Vietnamese food at the end of the day, but for the dishes that had more culture twist on it, that made the experience worth it. If I were to go back, I would definitely have the Viet paella again. ++ points for the view of the ocean as well

Little Sister absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, the experience was impeccable. Wendy, the hostess, set the tone right away--warm, welcoming, and incredibly polished. She made the arrival feel special and effortless. Jasmine, my server, was phenomenal. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely kind. She anticipated everything before I even had to ask and made the entire dining experience feel seamless. And the food? 10 out of 10 across the board. Every dish was beautifully presented, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell there's real thought and craftsmanship behind the menu. Between the outstanding service and incredible cuisine, Little Sister delivered a dining experience that was memorable from start to finish. I'll absolutely be back--and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier meal with equally top-tier hospitality.

What an absolute game-changer of a restaurant. After just two visits, it has already earned a permanent spot on our favorites list -- and we're counting down the days until we return. The food is nothing short of divine -- beautifully prepared, thoughtfully crafted, and unforgettable with every bite. The drinks? Top-tier. Creative, balanced, and designed to truly tantalize the senses. And the service ties it all together -- warm, attentive, and effortlessly excellent. This place isn't just a meal, it's an experience. We will absolutely be back.

So I have been coming here for years. My review is the lowest it's been and it is ONLY for the change in ambiance and removing the old school music which made this place so special and worth a long drive. I was here NYE night and it was sad to see only 3 tables in the building. The food service was a significantly slower than most other visits for how little tables were there. The service was great and staff remembered me from my previous visits. Once the food arrived it was incredible, the salad is a must have!

Hidden annex (speakeasy-like) inside Bluegold. There's only 6 tables for 4 inside so definitely requires reservation and not suitable for big parties. Prior to coming here, I didn't realize how similar it was to Little Sister.. and then we also overhead one of the servers say to another table that LSXO stands for "Little Sister ExtraOrdinary." We kind of splurged with our order and had a ton leftover that we took home. He got a Last Sumurai (without egg white) and I got a Jade Pendant (without alcohol). We also got the octopus salad, crispy prawn, eggplant basil, salt & pepper lobster with curry seafood fried rice, & fig and orange bread pudding for dessert. The drinks were really delicious, and the flavors of each dish were good.. BUT, everything was just SO flavorful and wayy too salty for our palette. Like, I-need-white-rice-to-eat-with-this-fried-rice salty. Also, almost every dish came with cilantro.. the salad we had was pretty much cilantro salad with octopus. Also wish LSXO had their own dessert menu, and not just serve whatever was on Bluegold's. There was only one Asian dessert on there (Vietnamese coffee tart), and everything else was not Southeast Asian whatsoever. The bread pudding we got was just okay, definitely didn't really complement the rest of the dinner. Probably won't be coming back & will need to repurpose our leftovers with a lot of white rice.

Oh wow, we had such a great experience here last night to celebrate Mother's Day weekend. My husband and I never get adventurous food when the kids are with us, so we were really looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was so sheik and romantic with lots of little fun touches around the intimate space. It literally sparkled. The service we got from Anthony & Jasmine was impeccable and they were genuinely happy to be there and talk with us. The food was fantastic. Starting with the Chicken & shitake dumplings- I was immediately transported to the realms of heaven and it was an flavor journey I won't forget. Followed by the coco pork dish and then the shaky shaky beef. I got so full on everything, I could only manage a bite of the beef dish, but they were all so very good and I'm happy I have some leftovers now. The drinks were great. I was really wanting a tequila cocktail, (which they no longer had on the menu) but Anthony was able to make me the Jade pendant with tequila instead and it was so good. My husband had the Hattori Hanzo and was raving about how good it was. We both had our own Bye Felicia cocktails as a nightcap (take on classic penicillin). We died happy at that point. That was our favorite. Only could have been better with some homemade ginger candy like the menu said. Overall, we had the best possible experience we could have asked for, we will be back, and soon.

Do I have to make a reservation? I went looking for your spot last week and had no idea it was a separate restaurant and just ended up eating in bluegold assuming you guys were just a pop up that were not there that night, how do I even get to you?

Hi Dan, LSXO is a separate restaurant and you can make reservations on OpenTable or by calling the restaurant directly. You can find additional information on our website: www.lsxohb.com - thanks.

Can items be tailored to be gluten soy and dairy free?

Hi, yes we can definitely make some dishes gluten, soy, or dairy free, or direct you to dishes that will work for your dietary needs. Please speak to your server when you arrive. Thanks!

Is there a cork fee if bring own wine?

Hi Bianca, our corkage fee is $35. Thanks!

Can I book LSXO for an event?

Hi Judy, yes absolutely! Please contact us directly at eventmanager@blackhousehg.com or call the restaurant directly. Thanks!

Is bar seating open seating or does it require a reservation? No one is answering the phone.

We did not make reservations and sat at the bar so I believe is first come, first serve. Uncomfortable chairs but good vibe! You can request different chairs, my boyfriend recently had surgery so they were nice enough to bring better chairs for us.

Does LSXO have gluten-free vegetarian options?

There are no "gluten free" labels on the menu. Some of the vegetable dishes and salads certainly look like they're gluten free. Clearly the baked goods and breaded things are not. Their noodles don't say if they're made with wheat flour. But…

Can we order items from LSXO at bluegold seating?

    No. You can't.

Is there a happy hour and if so what time and days?

Hi - unfortunately LSXO does not have a happy hour however Bluegold does! Please join us in the Bluegold bar for happy hour!

Do we need to check id before go inside?

    Hi, no ID needed. Thanks!

Anything for children? Is it possible to order a pizza from Bluegold

Anything for kids? Sure, if they like Thai! Call LSXO to find out for sure, but the vibe is more speakeasy than a restaurant. Note that the space is 1/3 bar, 2/3 restaurant w 6-8 tables. It’s an evening best enjoyed sans children.

Do you take walk ins? Or do you have to have a reservation?

We strongly recommend having a reservation. Given the space only has 6 tables they fill up fast.

What are all of the items on the dessert menu?

What is your capacity there? Please info, thank you

    About 20 people tops

Where can we view the current menu?

Our menu is chef driven and subject to seasonal ingredients. Because it is not static we refrain from posting it publicly. However, a menu can be provided by reaching out to the restaurant directly.

In the past I have been able to place an order for pickup (I prefer to eat at home sometimes). Tonight I was told that LSXO no longer offers pickup/to-go orders. Is this true?

Is there any open seating at the bar?

    When will you open yet?

Hello! Thank you for inquiring! Unfortunately, we don't know yet. Although the county has allowed…

Will you be openly by Father's Day?

    When is LSXO opening?

We are hoping in the next few weeks we will be able to open! We appreciate your support!

We booked a reservation on 3/6/21 through open table as it looked like you might be reopening. Is this the case?

Hi Jennifer, we are reopening but with indoor dining not being allowed LSXO will have to wait a bit longer before opening it's doors once again. As you may know LSXO only has 6 tables and is difficult to reopen with indoor dining restrictions.…

I do want to start by saying the staff was accommodating. When I made my reservation online, it only allowed me to book for six or eight guests (I can't remember which), but I had a party of 10. They were able to accommodate us and update the reservation so our full group could celebrate together, which I really appreciated. When I made the reservation, the only available time slot online was 8:45 PM. The earlier time slots were to early for the rest of my guest , so we booked what was offered. We didn't think that would leave us with such a short amount of time before closing at 10:00 PM. We also didn't realize until we got there that they don't serve full meals just appetizers. To be fair, I take some responsibility for that. I should have looked at the menu ahead of time, watched a few video reviews, and done a little more research before booking. That's on me. We still made the best of it. The girls were each able to enjoy a drink, the guys squeezed in two drinks each, and we ordered about three appetizers for the girls and three for the guys. Shortly after that, we were told it was last call for both drinks and appetizers because the kitchen and bar were closing. It felt like the evening ended almost as soon as it began. I do wish they had either not offered such a late reservation or at least let us know when booking that we'd have very limited time to order and enjoy the experience before everything shut down. If you're planning a birthday celebration or any gathering where you want to enjoy food, drinks, and time with your group, I would recommend booking an earlier reservation if possible or choosing another venue if only the late reservation is available. Hopefully, my experience helps someone else avoid making the same mistake.

The purple cocktail was one of the most unique drinks I've had in a long time--light, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. The second cocktail was just as impressive, with bright citrus flavors that were incredibly refreshing and perfect for a warm Huntington Beach evening. We also checked out the rooftop afterward. It's mostly tables and lounge seating, but the ocean view from up there is definitely worth seeing. I ordered the lobster roll ($32.50). Unfortunately, there wasn't much lobster for the price. Looking at it without the lettuce (and even next to my sunglasses for perspective), it felt pretty skimpy. The lobster itself was tender, and the toasted roll was good, but I expected a lot more filling for what it cost. The fries were crispy, and the herb dipping sauce was a nice addition. We also shared the Spicy Tuna Stack. It wasn't really spicy unless you happened to get a piece of red Thai chili in your bite. There was more mayo than needed, which made the dish a bit bland overall. The sweet pickles underneath added an unexpected sweetness that actually worked well, and the crispy rice was my favorite part. Still, it wasn't something I could eat much of because the flavors became a little too rich and one-dimensional. The Goat Cheese Artichoke Blossoms were good, though a bit bland. They were crispy and enjoyable but could have used a little more seasoning to make them stand out. Overall, Jolie is a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the views, but the food didn't quite live up to the prices. If I'd come back it would be for the atmosphere, but I'd probably order something different next time.

We entered through the hostess stand at HQ Gastropub. I had asked one of the hostesses what we needed to do and she stated she just arrived for work and I would have to ask another hostess when they came up to the stand. Bit weird, not the friendliest welcome, but the staff inside Graceland made up for that. The hostess lets them know we are there and someone comes out to take us back to the red door in the middle of the restaurant down a hall of colored barrels. Typically that is the only place you are allowed to take a photo before you hand over your phone. Back to the service. The bartender was AMAZING. She was so friendly and just amazing. Our waitress was great too, they were both helping us out. I wish I got the bartenders name, she was such a ray of sunshine and sparkle. Literally, she had a sequin top on and the sun hitting it put sparkle across the entire room. I had two glasses of chardonnay that were delicious. I also had a sip of my friends drinks and they were DELICIOUS! We did order food, and I ordered the spicy garlic edamame but never received it. I also was not charged for it, so it is what it is. The sushi nachos were good, as well as the beignets. I am not going to share the photos I took here, because I feel they want to keep it a surprise and I honor that. I would like to come back another time when the door is not open, it is darker and more private for the full speakeasy experience.

I do like the fact that they have a large private room in the center of the restaurant. Well designed and furnished as well. Im looking forward to utilizing it one day. Ill keep you guys posted! I love the decor inside. Looks like an old world high end Vietnamese hotel. The atmosphere and ambiance is well put together. You would never know from the inside that you were sitting in a shopping center in Founyain Valley next to a Salvation Army. Service is really quick. Our waitress was really nice. Came out with the drinks and food really fast. They have a good amount of drink options. I would say only 2nd best to Vox's drink menu. They also have a great amount of food options from shareables and small plates to dimsum to house specials to larger entree dishes. We ordered the following and were pleasantly surprised with everything we got: 1. Beef tendon- lots of aromatics and leafy greens. Really lightened each bite. Thinly sliced tendon. Enjoyed the oil sauce on the bottom. It was a good cold starter. 2. General tso's chicken wings- love the crunchiness. Really enjoyed the flavors to it. The sauce was just amazing, thick and sticky. Literally finger licking good! 3. Salt and pepper calamari- the actual calamari was very good. Crunchy. Salty. Lots of seasoning and chilis. The wasabi mayo sauce wasent the greatest. Too wasabi forward. Ended up dipping it in the chili oil of the wanton dish. 4. Shrimp wanton in chili oil- this was one of the best appetizers we got. Just it sitting in the chili oil itself was amazing. Lots of filling. Good thin dough. Really good mouth feel. I loved the flavors of it. 5. Steamed pork buns- the dough was really soft and pillowy. Not dense. It was pretty good. Filling was a little too moist for me. But nonetheless pretty good. 6. King fu panda cocktail- I loved the container it came in. This little clay cup. Drink tastes great. Very smooth and fruity tasting. 7. Pine crumb cocktail- this drink was visually so pretty. Light and refreshing. A great summer cocktail. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves here. The decor, the ambiance, and the quick service. Food and drinks were amazing. I can see why this place is so big because the lunch crowd is pretty massive and this place gets pretty full. A great addition to the Kei Concepts Fleet!!

You can tell right when you walk in this isn't your "traditional" Asian restaurant. The dining area is clean and well decorated and very spacious. Looking at the Menu, there were many dishes to chose from, so if you can't find something, then something is wrong with you lol Started with the crispy tofu , which was piping hot from the inside but had a perfect crisp on the outside , prolly the best crispy/fried tofu I've had . We really came here for the crab roe noodles. They were good, not my fav but I was pleased . Their truffle chicken salad was refreshing and light and had a lot of flavor for a salad. The crispy shrimp red rice roll was awesome and looked like a sushi roll, that was fav. We only ordered 4 dishes, so many to choose from. Their Portuguese egg tart trio was a treat. One of them was a truffle egg tart and salted egg egg tart. I wasn't feeling the salted egg flavor tart, but the truffle egg tart was good and new to me. The truffle's presence is strong in that egg tart, but I do love truffle . I will definitely come back to try the many dishes they have to offer for sure . Place can get crowded , they do take reservations and can accommodate to big parties. Servers are awesome, Shout out to "Kim". Great spot and worth a try for contemporary Asian food. I'll be back, see ya soon!

Gastropub was welcoming, had a great atmosphere for the match, and let people come in and enjoy the game without making them feel like they needed to spend hundreds of dollars just to have a seat. The staff was friendly, the drinks were good, and the overall vibe was exactly what you'd want for a big sporting event. If you're looking for a place to watch a game, have a few drinks, and actually feel appreciated as a customer, Gastropub is a great choice. I'll definitely be back.

07.10.2026 Friday…read more Found this place by a friend that was going to Dj for this establishment that evening. I arrived here at 4pm. Parking was easy and convenient. Had a good wait time since I wanted to be seated while overlooking the ocean view. The host took my name down while we sat and waited at the bar. The bartender at the bar was serious. It would help if she was little bit friendler and smiled. Her vibe was uneasy. After a long day at work, it doesnt help to deal with serious people. People come to the pub to wind down and to have a good time. Her energy tried to kill my experience, but I would not let it. 20 mins passed and our table was ready. Ordered adult beverages and food within a 3 to 4 hour window of our stay. Kudos to Victoria S, she was a great waitress. Great job on always attending to us!! Very professional. Overall great place and good vibe! Drinks are cheap and reasonable. Food is delicous. This is my go to spot to hang out at the OC. Large LcDs for sports and good music. Definitely be back. Clean with good food and drinks.
