I was excited to try this and support a new business but the food was very disappointing The service was really friendly and quick I ordered drunken noodles vegan with vegetables and specified no fish sauce I ordered it to go and had asked for spicy When I got home it smelled fishy. While there wasn't any fish sauce I noticed they added red chili paste which typically has shrimp. I guess there way of making spicy was to add chili paste instead of fresh ingredients There were no fresh chilies anywhere and the noodles were very mushy I couldn't eat it as it wasn't vegan. In this day and age I'm surprised restaurants don't understand what vegan means

I don't know why I haven't thought of this or even said this out loud before, but..... I think that Thai food just might be one of my favorite cuisines. Sure... Any chance I get, I'm definitely getting street tacos. And don't you dare put Greek/Mediterranean food in front of my face, because I'll eat that $hit up! But when I really think about it, I have never been let down when it comes to Thai Food, and our recent dinner at Narwhal Thai Table in Huntington Beach did not let that standard fall. Yes. We were in Huntington Beach earlier this year for a mini vacay. So while staying in town, we made plans with my best friend and his wife who live in the O.C. And we asked, "Do you guys happen to like Thai?" Their response.... "We love Thai". Hey, that's all we needed to hear. So my wife looked up a Thai spot near our hotel and found Narwhal Thai Table which looked promising. So we set a dinner time and off we went for dinner. Of course, when it comes to Thai.... We are very much creatures of habit when we order. But hey, we like what we like. Of course, all the usual suspects were there. Fresh Rolls Fried Wontons Pad Thai A Yellow Curry Mango Sticky Rice And of course..... Some Thai beer to wash it all down. The food came out quickly, as Thai always seems to do. The flavors hit, the service was on par, and we all left there very pleased! The setting provided a chance for my family to break bread with our friends, cheers some good, ice cold beer to finally getting together and having a great conversation over a delicious meal. In my humble opinion, Thai Food has a way of always doing this and I truly enjoy putting good stuff into my belly alongside good friends and family. So the next time you find yourself in beautiful Huntington Beach and Thai is on your mind.... Come to Narwhal Thai Table and celebrate life with good people and great food! And if you think about it... Invite me along ;)

I saw this new Thai spot opened up in the area and decided to drop by for lunch and was surprised to see it replaced Gulf Thai which was owned by a different owner up until a month ago! They have a new menu and are currently in soft opening. The menu has a good variety of dishes to choose from and the staff are friendly and helpful if you have an questions. I ordered the pad thai with beef and a thai tea for my drink. It took around 10 minutes for my food to arrive and my drink arrived before that. The thai tea was creamy and refreshing during the hot day and my pad thai was delicious! They gave me some spices on the side and I was surprised at the egg lattice(?) on top which I haven't seen before at any other Thai place I've been to. The pad thai was delicious and a good portion size. The beef was tender and flavorful and the noodles were not soggy or overcooked. The egg lattice mixed well with the pad thai and I throughly enjoyed it. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area and I loved the different protein options available for each dish. I'm looking forward to coming back again in the future to try the rest of the menu and when they officially have their grand opening!

I was a little skeptical with this being a new business but I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and food! As someone who eats a fair amount of Thai food, I can definitely say, I'll be back here. We liked the food so much that we forgot to take a photo before eating. The people who served us were very kind.

I just had a fantastic lunch here and am already looking forward to coming back. I liked it back when it was Thai Gulf but now it's even BETTER. Very friendly servers and great vibe inside. Definitely worth coming by if you're a fan of authentic Thai food

I had an amazing meal at Narwhal Thai Table today! This restaurant just recently opened, and I was so impressed from my very first visit. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasted just like authentic Thai food back home in Thailand. The panang beef curry was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with incredibly tender beef. The tom yum fried rice was perfectly seasoned, packed with fresh shrimp, and had that authentic wok aroma. Every dish was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, I highly recommend Narwhal Thai Table. It's a fantastic new addition, and I'll definitely be coming back. Wishing them great success on their new journey!

My son and I visited Narwhal yesterday for the first time but it won't be the last. The food was delicious and the customer service was top notch. We enjoyed talking about our travels to Bangkok with Eileen and were so impressed with everything. I can't wait to go back and try something else!! I am hoping for great things for this family owned restaurant run by three siblings.

Pad Thai and Penang curry with rice to go. Packed well!
Analyn S.

Nice and clean. And nice ambiance. It's a little bit more modern and they are a bit more up to date with technology. I love the pad Thai!

Crying tiger rib eye steak and orange chicken are excellent. I also ordered beef fried rice that is very good.

Food was very good. Service is equally satisfactory. People must know this place and try it. I'll definitely come again.

No rice served

Customer service and menu lacking Seems like nothing learned from taking over Thai Gulf Thimble of rice with curry and none with kaprow stir fry although menu says rice on side Back to Orange Thai I guess Regarding business reply: nice to hide behind semantics on "ala carte" but menu states... Secondly if I'd dined in, would the rice still be served in a shot glass? I had to come home and make rice...embarrassing

You can actually come here, get a table, and enjoy amazing food without having to schedule it before you even know what day you're going to be hungry. I highly recommend giving this place a try. The food is seriously that good. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, and we left very happy and very full. Just one word of warning: bring your wallet! Our lunch came to $84, but considering how much we enjoyed everything, we thought it was money well spent. Great food, no ridiculous reservation wait, and a very happy table.

Instead we got the beef stew noodle soup for my son which smelled really flavorful and he said was good. I got some sort of Taiwanese noodle soup that was on the front page of the menu that looked good and tasted great as well. It came with a bunch of assorted proteins such as hard boiled egg, tendon, tripe, stewed meats. It was a spicy noodle dish which I loved. I will most likely get it again next time. Their chili oil sate is actually really spicy and has that kick so I appreciated that since most places are not spicy. The portions were also pretty big; each order was good enough for 2 bowls. We enjoyed our noodle soups but still want to go back what we anticipated.

Feels like a summer melt in my mouth…read more Everything was so fresh, unique and well-seasoned. Such a sunshine treat to my palate. We ordered 4 dishes: Summer rolls: Beautifully made. The crispy tempura shrimp paired really well with the salad, especially purple cabbage. Tangy sweet and sour sauce was a nice touch. Octopus fried rice: This one got me on chokehold. Never really try anything like this before. If I have to describe this in one phrase, I would say bursting with flavor. I love how the rice is super fluffy and the octopus is chewy but tender at the same time. But I do think its sauce made all the different. Can come back just for this one alone. Ceviche on bánh phồng tôm: This one is super random but it's the kind that made your day. I got to talk to the owner and she told me the story about how she built her recipes from scratch and her time learning cooking in Japan, so she invited me to try this ceviche. I'd say it tastes like a savory ice cream. The buttery avocado complements the tuna, carrot and cucumber like a match made from heaven. But I don't think this dish is on the menu haha. Prawn on mango salad: Really unique take on mango salad as it's not heavy on seasoning at all; but still full of flavors and fragrances. It has cassava, apple, mango, carrot and mint tossed well in some kind of sweet fish sauce. Prawns are huuuge!! Big plus. Place has a warm and rustic ambiance with wooden accent. Big bar wrapped around and also has a boba place next to it. Lots of parking and seatings so really family friendly. My server Jennie was kind and energetic! The owner are super ambitious about what she does, also really funny and approachable Overall, this place is more on a higher price side, but definitely worth your time and money. Support local business! FIVE STARS

We had actually expected just the usual soup ramen place, but later discovered that, although a view varieties of ramen noodles are offered on their menu, their specialty was in fact the dried version of a bowl of soup ramen noodles, or what our server referred to as a bowl of "reverse" ramen noodles, better known as Mazemen noodles.... sounded really yummy so far as I have always preferred dry noodles to soup ones. So, my wife went ahead and ordered a bowl of spicy California Tonkotsu ramen noodles, and I went with the Saitama Chicken Mazemen noodles..... and some handmade spicy wonton and fried Karaage Chicken on the side. Our food came out pretty fast, super hot, super fresh, and super delicious! I tried some of my wife's soup ramen, and yes, had great flavor... not too salty, and perfectly medium firm ramen noodles. As for my Mazemen noodles....woweee!.... this was my first time trying Mazemen noodles, with a large board on the wall with instructions on how Wadaya's Mazemen noodles should be eaten. When the instructions were followed, I dug straight in and...mmmmm good! The combination of ingredients in the bowl.... peppered ground chicken, scallions, chives, poached egg, minced garlic, fish umami, and seaweed flakes.... when all tossed together just made for an amazingly delicious bowl of noodles! I really loved and enjoyed it so very much! The Chicken karaage and spicy wontons were very delicious too and went great with our noodles. Other than that, very cute and cozy ambiance... like a little Japanese ramen place, service was excellent.. our server was so nice, so friendly, so attentive, and so helpful.... this made for just the perfect lunch! This place may not be as high profiled as other more popular and well known brands of ramen places, but it's definitely one of the best we've ever tried, and we'll definitely be back soon.

To my surprise, it was a good experience that we had. The shop was small, but the staff has a workflow nailed down. The parking was not too terrible on a weekday evening -- I was worried about the warnings, so we parked on the street. When walking to the hotel, I saw that there were many open spaces in the parking lot! We had the chicken cartillage and the calamari for appetizers. The cartillage was good, but portion was quite small. Some additional seasoning/salt would have also made it much better! The calamari was definitely VERY different from other places, but I liked the batter texture. What I loved about the ramen here is that they let you customize from the noodle size, texture, spice level, and the salt level! I always prefer the thicker noodle type, so I found it comforting to be able to request it at no extra charge. Beware there is extra charge for Spice level 4 & 5! I had the Garlic Tonkotsu ramen, which was flavorful and not too salty/creamy. My fiance had the Tan Tan ramen at level 5 spice, which he thought it was not spicy (it was for me!) and not as flavorful as what I ordered. Overall, I would definitely revisit this shop next time I'm in Oahu!
