It used to be my number one pho spot, but the food quality has gone down a lot while the prices keep going up. I was honestly surprised by how good Pho Lab was. I ordered through DoorDash instead of dining in, and the food still arrived in amazing quality. The tender short ribs were flavorful, juicy, and very tender. Everything tasted fresh and well made. Pho Lab is now my number one spot for pho. I really hope they open a location closer to Garden Grove and Westminster because they deserve even more attention. Strolled in on a Monday at 11am, and it already had people in seats. This is a good sign. If a Pho place has people so close to opening, it usually means people were craving it and came in. Pho broth was good. A bit on the saltier side, however I do prefer it that way. Good portion of meat in the Dac Biet (Steak, Meatball, Brisket, Tendon and Tripe). I appreciate that they put a bit less sprouts etc. on their plate to reduce waste, you can always ask for more. They use the same bowls my friend's family uses... I don't know how much more authentic you can get! The Iced coffee was good too. Pretty standard. A good pho place that is open late that isn't in Westminster/Garden Grove.
