$13.95 Lunch Specials - yes please! Popular Thai noodle and curry dishes included. Extra spicy is optional but available on a 1-5 scale. If you're looking for a lunch spot with authentic Thai flavor and great customer service this is it. It opens at 11 am on weekdays and the seating is plentiful for small and large groups. It's located on Slater near Pizza D'Z.
Tasty Thai restaurant in the middle of a small strip mall. Signing up for a rewards account during your first visit will give you enough points for a free drink next time, so it's totally worth it. The decor is nice, and they have two tables outside for patio seating. The food is delicious and the portions are enough to get stuffed, but you won't have left overs.
So glad I found Thai Station while driving to the freeway to get home. It's a small restaurant hidden in a tiny shopping center. I was a bit worried at first seeing all the negative reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my order. Had the Tom Yum soup with egg noodles. It comes with ground pork, fish balls, fish cake, and a hard boiled egg. Everything was delicious. The broth was so perfectly seasoned and not too sour nor too salty. I asked for my noodles to be el dente and not overcooked and they followed instructions exactly. Service was good l. Austin was polite and attentive. He kept on checking on me and made sure I got everything I needed. It was also nice that there are three types of noodles to chose from for this dish. Big plus. Restaurant was clean and well ventilated so your clothes and hair do not smell after. I will return to try other menu items out.
Obsessed. This place is owned by Thai/lao/vietnamese couple who cooks amazing food. So much umami. I love how dishes are not sweet compared to other Thai dishes served in OC that are on the sweeter side. Inside is clean and the service is friendly. Love their lunch $16.99 specials, I tried green curry, drunken noodles, papaya salads and they were all bomb. Had seafood curry in coconut shell. Presentation was 10/10 and food was sooo good. I want to come back here with bigger party to order more and share. You need to try, you won't regret it !
I have mixed feelings about Thai Station because while some dishes were definite hits, others missed the mark for me. The space itself is very inviting. The interior is modern, clean, and feels comfortable, which made for a pleasant first impression. Unfortunately, service fell a bit short. After our order was taken, the staff were not very attentive and we had minimal check-ins throughout the meal. I even had to flag them down to refill my water glass. On the food side, the pork kebabs were a standout. They tasted authentic, well seasoned, and were easily the best dish we tried. The larb was average. The crying tiger, however, was disappointing. It arrived on a sizzling plate like fajitas, which was unexpected, but the beef was much rarer than expected even though I requested medium. It also was not cut against the muscle grain, like crying tiger is expected, to make the tougher flank steak more tender to eat. The BBQ pork ribs were also not what I was hoping for. Instead of being glazed, the sauce felt more like it was mopped on and left the ribs overly wet, and the pork lacked the grilled char I associate with Thai BBQ. I also ordered sticky rice, which was served wrapped in foil rather than the usual plastic wrap. It was still in a bamboo box. Unfortunately, it was on the hard and dry side, which made it tough to enjoy. I'd consider coming back for the pork kebabs, but I hope some of their other dishes will win me over.
The place was okay overall, nothing particularly memorable food-wise. Most dishes felt pretty average. I was really looking forward to the crispy pork, but it ended up being double deep fried, which made the meat quite dry even though the skin was nice and crispy. The mango salad was made with soft, sweet yellow mangoes instead of the tangier green kind, so the flavors didn't quite come together as expected. The tom yum was also underwhelming. The broth was clean but tasted a bit one dimensional, as it lacked depth or enough fresh ingredients. On the bright side, the crab fried rice was surprisingly good, flavorful and well-balanced, and the Thai tea was also really enjoyable.
The food service and ambience was amazing. I've been craving this for a while. I'm so happy I bought it from here.
Yum! I got the pineapple fried rice and my friend got the pineapple curry with the heaviest spice. She loved it and said sometimes the spice goes too hard and there's no flavor... but not here! Spice was high and flavor was high. I have a gluten allergy and asked to remove the soy sauce and they did so and the fried rice was still super good - lots of butter ;) Service was a bit standoffish and not as welcoming though :/
... Whenever I eat Thai, I normally just order Pad Thai to be safe, but today, I ordered a bit too much for us! It was all delicious Tom Yum soup, Beef Satay, Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice. Needless to say... we have enough for another dinner Sharing just the Tom Yum soup was plenty... but we tried a bit of everything! This place is new, clean & beautifully decorated inside. The owners & staff are extremely nice, pleasant & humble. The prices are also reasonable. Please give them a try!
A new Thai restaurant replaced the old (and also new, but went out of business so fast) Thai restaurant at Slater and Ward. Called Thai Station. We love to give new things a try so went to visit. The food is actually fantastic, and the prices are a good value too. As we were leaving we had a chance to talk to the owner - we heard him speaking in Vietnamese earlier so wondered how can a Vietnamese owner make such good Thai food? Turns out he is "Viet in Thailand" which is a Vietnamese person but raised in Thailand. His family is a fusion of Thai, Laos and Viet, which explains the wonderful flavor of all the dishes. He seems to take great pride in his product, and is looking forward to making a big impact in our community. The inside is also clean and modern, helping make your meal even better. I wanted the Crying Tiger (hanger steak) but I wanted a salad so they made me a custom off menu item of Crying Tiger larb - so much flavor! My family also shared the drunken noodle and pad thai. Smiles all around as we enjoyed the delicious food. Help support a real small business with some amazing food, come check out Thai Station. Wanted to give this new restaurant a try seeing that they have five stars. The Tom Yum noodle soup was actually really good. I like the fact that they give you a lot of toppings and the soup is not as sour as I have had before at other places. However, the Crying Tiger was disappointing. I requested the steak medium, but it came out looking quite rare still. I am not picky. I just cannot eat rare steak. I told them to make it a little less red, and the guy did nicely bring it back to the kitchen. But when they brought it back out, it seemingly became beef jerky. It appeared they had overcooked it somehow. I didn't want to say anything again after that because I felt bad. The meat was so chewy and did not have any kind of flavor at all unless I dip it in the sauce. For $19 I expected a little more. From now on, I am not getting Crying Tiger anywhere again unless it's ribeye. The menu says "hanging steak". They probably mean "hanger" steak. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and they had a pretty Christmas tree. Parking is easy and plenty. Other than that, I'm not sure if I'll return.

I stopped here randomly while I waited to get my taxes done. I was only one of two people there. 3 people came to ask my order lol. I had the Tom Yum Soup and it was delicious! Very flavorful. If I'm ever in the area I would try it again.

We came to try another Thai restaurant It was a nice small place that served great food. We had papaya salad, beef laab, crab fried rice, fried bananas and ice cream for dessert. All were really good. Just have to be careful on which level of spice you like because a 3 out of 6 is fire. Can imagine what 6 is like. We will be back read more

This place is literally 2 mins away from my house and idk why today is my first day trying it. The food is surprisingly amazing. We got the grilled pork cheek with sticky rice, fried catfish with red curry paste, combination green curry and pad thai with chicken. Every single dish was amazing. Service is super friendly, might be a tad slow cause they are family owned and run business but not crazy. Warm lights throughout the restaurant and good jazz music playing. Good place overall for weekdays dinner and weekends dinner. Enjoy my little photos I have, didn't expect the food was gonna be good read more
Thai Station is a new Thai restaurant in Fountain Valley. This spot sits in a pretty popular plaza, especially when school gets out. Parking is usually ok. They did fresh renovations, and I like the new decor! It felt very clean and fresh. The service was quick and friendly. Frequent check ins and refills of water. The food itself was solid. I wish there was a little more, but the flavors and textures were good. The noodles were well cooked! I always worry for undercooked or overcooked rice noodles, but these were solid. Overall, Thai Station is a solid new Thai spot in town! read more

I ordered crab fried rice, double extra egg, to go. But the first time, they forgot the extra egg. Before I even noticed, they texted me saying sorry they forgot and offering next dish on them. Which i now have. So first, yummy. But also, I'm amazed they even noticed. I'd assume that most people, after they're done with one order, just move on. read more

I saw almost all reviews were 5 stars so I wanted to try as soon as I was aware of its existence, it was hard to comprehend why the restaurant it replaced was only in business a few weeks. The 1st time we had crying tiger, Penang chicken and tom yum. The 2nd time we had boat noodle and chicken satay. We requested everything to be mild but unfortunately they had completely forgotten it. 1) Tom yum was volcano hot, I should have not eaten it, it was watery and lacked flavor other than SPICY HOT! the mushroom they used was the chewy RUBBERY kind like that they have in japan but NOT IN THAILAND. I have been in Japan twice and Thailand so many times I lost count, Thai cuisine used either straw mushroom or fresh mushroom, using the rubber mushroom was convenient and perhaps economical but it added nothing to the flavor and It was so hot, my gum got swollen and I was not able to eat for a week right thru Christmas dinner. 2) Penang chicken was flavorful, real chicken not frozen Costco chicken like 90% of all Thai restaurants around here, it was so delicious. 5 stars 3) Crying tiger made me cry! lol bc i could not eat it, the cow was not quite dead? I asked for medium and it was bright red, it was also NOT RIB EYE like in other restaurants but maybe sirloin or some other cut, I did not want to knock out my implant! I froze it and hope to make a soup out of it. The sauce was also not authentic. 4) Boat noodle, OMG it tasted bloody, looked bloody, red and thick like blood, I had to beat up on my brain to remember where I tasted this before, it was in bangkok broth that they put thick blood in their boat noodle, as I said i have been to Thailand and I never remember boat noodle broth to be thick w blood, it was possible they put a little in but not that much to look dark red, I can tell you in Thai restaurant in USA, I never taste blood in this soup. It did not look appetizing even though I like Mocilla which was blood sausages I loved in Buenos Aires, Argentina, they BBq it and you would never taste any blood, sorry 1 star. 5) Chicken satay was so so delicious again it was real chicken, so grilled to perfection and the peanut sauce was yummy too. So you do the math, only 2 out of 5 items had 5 stars so overall 3 stars, I'll come back to try drunken noodle and pad see euw, they do have an extensive menu. read more

If you are looking for a unique Thai cuisine that stands out for the rest, this is the place! This isn't your typical Thai place. You can tell that they have put a lot of effort on their menu. All of the dishes I ordered were made with quality ingredients. The portions are great to share. I would highly recommend trying a few different dishes to share if you are going with others. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There's plenty of indoor seating with a few tables outside as well. I will be coming back to try different dishes. read more
Great tasting food I usually can't do spicy so ordered 1/2 and was perfect level. I ordered tom yum soup with chicken with side of jasmine rice. It was a perfect heat with hot pot at table. I also added combination pad Thai came out beautifully presented. Atmosphere was comfortable and spacious. Great local joint will come back or order take out ! Oh service was very good they greeted me upon arrival and sat me down no delays and efficiency I got my food out in good time read more

If you're looking for a beautiful and delicious Thai place to dine in (or take out ) I believe this is the one. This is my 3rd time coming to this place, this time came with my best friend and we were both in awe. The food was DELICIOUS. From the Pad Thai to the Bbq. Their appetizers are very yummy as well. I got chicken on a stick ( it has coconut cream, sooo yummy ). The owners are very nice and give some of the best service you can possibly get. So far , I have tried a different dish every time I have came and every single one of them have been very tasty. The food is really good! The pork jowl in the Kor Moo Yang was really flavorful and tender, and the dipping sauce added great depth to cut through the meaty richness. And the Khao Soi is one of the best I've had yet! Really creamy and flavorful and a nice balance of textures with the noodles, pickled vegetables and meats. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! These pics are from two visits just 4 days apart! Our daughter does karate in this center, so we frequent this area often. We've seen two Vietnamese restaurants fail in this particular location, so we're really hoping it will be different for this Thai restaurant...because we love it! I even told my husband I want to come here again for my birthday next week! The staff is extremely friendly, the ambiance/setup is nice, and the food is AMAZING!! Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful. I especially loved that the sauce for the fresh rolls seemed homemade instead of from a bottle. We brought our daughter with us the second time. She's generally a picky eater, but she loved the chicken satay and fresh rolls! I would absolutely order the chicken pad Thai, tom yum soup, and fresh rolls again. I've been searching for a good local tom yum soup for a while now and haven't had much luck until this place The tom yum was so comforting and flavorful, and I love the tanginess. We don't usually order spicy, and it was still perfect for us. My previous favorite Thai spot was in Garden Grove, so I love that this is so close to home. It's so nice to finally have a go-to nearby! We truly can't recommend this place enough. One thing to note: the two previous restaurants in this location closed at 8 p.m., but this one closes at 9 p.m. From afar, it may look closed because of the dark film on the windows, but look for the "Open" sign! read more

Great time here! Wanted to check out this new Thai spot that was recommended by a friend. Everyone was so sweet, kind, and helpful and it was decorated so cute for Christmas. Pineapple Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice Crab Curry Kanom Jeen Cucumber Somtam Phrik-Khing Crispy Pork Pork Egg Rolls Mango Sticky Rice We ordered a few things, but our favorites were the Crab Curry Kanom Jeen, Crispy Pork,and Mango Sticky Rice. The savory dishes were delicious and spicy! Note that the cucumber somtam is a intentionally fishier dish, just in case that's not a flavor you prefer.
