The view is really nice, especially around sunset, and it just feels super relaxed up there. Rebecca (the bartender) was the best part though. I had no idea what to order since it was my first time, and she was super sweet and patient, helping me figure out what I'd actually like instead of just rushing me. The lounge is located on the rooftop of the Waterfront Beach Resort. The view is lovely. The service is terrible. We sat at a table for so long before someone came to serve us. We went for happy hour and ordered the bang bang cauliflower and pizza. They did not even put the sauce on the cauliflower, it was just fried cauliflower. The one star deduction is for management: this establishment is woefully understaffed. But otherwise, amazing location and views on the rooftop at the waterfront Hilton. We loved the "hot girl" dinner promo with Weber ranch vodka- great deal! Limited food menu but our fries and salad were fine. Cocktail menu also similarly limited but still tasty. There was a DJ spinning peppy lounge, but on the weekends I heard it's more R&B and pop. Brielle on service was lovely and friendly. But as she was essentially working alone, wait times for everything were quite prolonged. Fyi Locals get 30% off on Tuesdays. I've frequented this place before. It's been a minute though. We came here on a Friday evening around 6 PM. Find parking in the front at metered it's a lot cheaper than parking in the hotel. This hotel rooftop is located at the waterfront hotel, which is a beautiful hotel. Rooftop on floor nine. Service is excellent. Food is decent but pricey. What do you expect with that view of Huntington Beach across the way. They made recent renovations and it has made the place so much nicer because now it has an awning with glass windows that can close off from the breeze. I love this place for this year vibes. My husband and I came for our anniversary and absolutely loved our experience. Our server Desiree was so wonderful and kind, making the experience that much better! Decent rooftop bar and lounge in the waterfront hotel in HB. It's in the second tower, so there is a bit of a walk if you arrive at the main hotel. Walking through the hotel was interesting, as there were many areas along the walk (the Cabo wabo restaurant and the pool area). Everyone that we encountered was friendly and relaxed. Parking is $30, but you can get it validated and pay $10 under 3 hours. The view from the lounge was very nice- probably even better at night or on July 4th Makes me want to pay $500 plus a night and try the hotel out, although the reviews don't match the property, which looked 4-5 star. read more

The good, the bad, the redeemable. Curious about the rooftop bar me and my two friends came here on a rather mellow night. We were warmly greeted at the entrance by the most welcoming lady. She seemed like someone I could share a drink with. We found seats in the corner at this low height patio couch. We admired the view, and looked over what appeared to be a great menu. We sat and chatted, discussing our week, and after awhile started questioning if this was a self-serve venue as we didn't see any staff. Right as we debated going to the bar this couple came and sat near us. A server came by and greeted them, offered them water, and pointed out the menu. As the server left we discussed how he'd likely come by and say something when he returned. The couple decided they didn't like their seat so they moved closer to us. The server returned, talked to the couple, and we apparently were invisible. The server would not look in our direction. We tried getting his attention again and nothing. At a certain point, realizing we were here for 30 minutes with no acknowledgement we left. ' Why 3 stars instead of 1? Because on the way out I voiced my frustrations. The manager was there, listened with empathy, and offered to make things right. I appreciated the gesture despite not taking it. You can see the ocean from the seating area and it's a really nice place to just sit back, wind down, and relax with some alcohol (also have mocktails) while looking at the view. I ordered 2 drinks, the Cat 5 Sangria and Blood Orange Sour (whiskey based). Both were pretty good but very slightly on the stronger side. Service is quick, efficient, and the server was super friendly and humorous. It's a "rooftop" lounge in the sense that it still has a roof or shelter above you. Lots of fancy expensive cars in the driveway. The hotel is resort like, very busy, it's of kids and loud noises and wedding events etc. The lounge is a great distance from the lobby as you have to walk down a long hall and take 2 elevators. The rooftop implies, you are facing the beach. A relaxing vibe with hip hop music playing in the background. We didn't order any food, and the menus was alright. After spending a nice day at the beach, my friends and I were looking to end our night with some drinks. We decided to go here because the ambiance matched the vibe we wanted. All the drinks sounded so good we were having trouble deciding what to get. Thankfully the bartenders there were super sweet and helpful. Rebecca and Gilbert were especially fun. You could tell they actually enjoyed their job and didn't look irritated when I asked a question. Rebecca recommended me the Cat Sangria, and while I was skeptical at first cuz im not the biggest sangria fan it was actually so good! My friend got the Blood Orange Sour and again it was delish. Strong enough to get a nice buzz, but not too overwhelming alcohol flavor. My other friend doesn't drink alcohol and to our surprise they also had mocktails! Its always nice when bars have mocktails that aren't just overpriced Shirley temples. She got the rosemary elixir mocktail and we all got to feel girly pop hehe. She also recommended specialty cocktails that were a hit. We went there because of the community night for locals and got free validated parking.
