Garlic Wings Rice Platter / @tableformin

This will be my go-to for Hainanese Chicken! The dish is more of Singaporean-Malaysian style. It's similar to Ipoh restaurant in Alhambra but it's less oily, which I prefer. The food came out super fast, like less than 5 minutes after I ordered. They are super packed during weekday lunch. It seems like lots of workers come here during their lunch time. Weekends of course has long line, unfortunately.

I've been to Pho Nic and couple times and tried both their Pho Nic (classic beef pho with rib bone) and the Pho Chicken. Overall, both are good choices if you're craving a bowl of hot Pho, especially on a cold day. The broth in both bowls was well-seasoned and rich. The meat on the beef rib bone was tender and came off the bone almost on its own while the chicken (even the white meat) was really juicy and tender. The service both times I went was great. Waiters were attentive and food came out decently quickly. The store has a fair amount of tables inside only, but turnover is pretty quick so there isn't really a long wait.

This is my go-to lunch spot near work. The wait times to get seated, place an order, and eat are pretty short, so I can easily grab a bowl of pho and finish within my one-hour lunch break. The only downside is the parking situation. Since it's located in the same plaza as Costco, finding a parking spot can be a challenge, especially during peak hours. I appreciate that they take Apple Pay and offer a QR code system for ordering, which makes the whole process quick and convenient. It feels very modern and efficient. So far, I've mainly stuck to their Hainan chicken and rice and the build-your-own pho, and both have been solid choices. The prices are reasonable. There are cheaper options out there, but I'd have to drive farther, and when I'm craving pho during lunch, I don't have much time to spare.

Usually come for the pho and chicken wings but finally got the Hainan chicken and it is very very good. The red ginger sauce is spicier than most which I appreciate the kick. Comparable to speciality places that only sell that dish. I continue to love this pho nic!!

Yummy. Lots of meat for pho combo!

Authentic and great tasting. Love their Broth and serving size is huge. Long lines on weekends so be prepared to wait. It's pretty clean and fast service. Trust.

Yelp recommended Pho Nic as I was browsing for a place to eat near Fountain Valley. They are located in a strip mall next to Costco in Fountain Valley, so expect parking to be difficult. Overall, I was disappointed. The food didn't really stand out, but it wasn't shabby either. It's okay. Hainanese Chicken Rice - 2.5/5. I have incredibly high standards for this dish, since I grew up with it and it's still my favorite. Rice is a core part of Hainanese Chicken Rice, and most people miss it. Pho Nic's chicken rice is starchy, lumpy, and lacks the fragrance and taste expected of a good Hainanese Chicken Rice. The chicken wasn't too bad. The poached meat is tender and has a lovely, subtle ginger and scallion flavor. But I wish there were a bit more chicken flavor. The chicken skin has a slightly rubbery texture, but it's good overall. The chicken soup isn't as clear as I would like. It has a reasonably strong star anise and clove flavor, which I don't quite like - but it's subjective, I usually prefer my chicken soup clear and has more chicken flavor. Vermicelli Bowl - 3/5. We had it with tofu and shrimp. It's not bad. The tofu, the dish's highlight, was deep-fried to a nice crisp. Overall, the dish was okay.

this place is mid. I had really high hopes because my aunt kept raving about it to my mom. Unfortunately, my aunt let us down with this one. It is located in a busy shopping center due to its proximity to costco. There is a lot of parking, but it gets packed. When you walk in they greet you immediately and direct you to a table. The restaurant was packed. I thought this was a good sign. I also like to ask the staff what is popular and their go to menu item - unfortunately, the server we had provided no input or helpful insight. We went with their Hainanese Chicken rice plate and pho. The food came out so quickly we barely finished ordering what we wanted and it was coming to the table. Pho was okay. Soup was bland , but thankfully it came with that dipping sauce because that was the only source of flavor. Rice place was more of the same note. Bland rice boiled with chicken water and chicken that you needed to drench in the sauces they provide. overall, I probably would not go again. The problem for them being located in fountain valley is there's a better spot at every corner.

BEST CHICKEN RICE IN OC. I tried them all and this place is sooo good, I hate driving but I came back again to get it. A lot of places lack flavor but Pho Nic is not that case! Portion size is very generous, comes with 3 sauces and soup on the side. My go to place for chicken rice when I'm craving it.

I met a friend here at lunchtime on a weekday. When we arrived the place was packed with only one table available which we snagged. Our waiter was all business, understandably too busy for friendly chit chat; just get the order and quickly move on. My friend was in the mood for pho, which is why we were here (my friend proclaimed the pho here was fantastic) but I wasn't in the mood for anything soupy or noodley. I just ordered a couple of appetizers - deep fried eggrolls and cream cheese wontons - along with a Thai tea. The Thai tea was perfection; it doesn't get any better than that. The egg rolls were crunchy-delicious and the wontons were equally crunchy-delicious if not more so. The sweet and sour sauce was superb and enhanced the flavor of the wontons as I gave each one a good dip. While I might not have gotten the full Pho Nic experience, I can say that their appetizers are excellent.

I have tried Pho Nic I think 3 times , they are very shrewd to advertise on Instagram, it works wonder, their beautiful videos got my attention, chicken marinated? 12 hours, etc...well reality is different. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the location is great, near Costco and LA Fitness, parking is fine but you cannot eat any of that, the chicken Pho was 90% watery, zero taste, I had to fix it and literally forced myself to eat it, I had the Hainan chicken the 1st time, it was also nothing like what the real thing in Chinese restaurants . The chicken wings was very good so that's why I rate this 3 stars. I was sad when Seafood world went out of business, I told them to advertise on yelp, and Instagram, tiktok, they had no idea what social medias were and went under, it was the best Chinese resto. I had been fooled by so many bad restaurants bc of nice videos and PHO NIC ad was so amazing, I was convinced it had to be true. The yelp cops removed 3 of my reviews, even Instagram used to harass me w their woke and ban, fact check whatever then deleted my account w almost 10,000 followers, 20,000 posts I had for 10 years but since trump reelection, they stop all that harassment. I hope it was not done by Haley, I met her recently and thought the world of her, she spoke to me, I sure was not a unserious or disrespectful person that needed to be taught manners. I would be very shocked if this review is not deleted. I had written a review of LA Fitness, 24 hours, they really need more help but in light of the 3 deletions, I would wait and see. I'm a respectful person and my followers like my reviews they are accurate and usually well researched for relevant info, I think this one might be deleted so it gets to a point it's getting to be annoying. It seems to me Yelp bosses like it short and everything to be 4,5 stars, I'm OK, you are OK, food is good, etc. everything else is not politically correct, it's insulting to accuse me of community violations. Many of my social media buddies had given up on Yelp and moved to trip advisor and Google a long time ago. Please DO RESPECT HARD WORKING YELPIES, we work for free and bring content to your platform, we love you but please remember respect works both ways, TYVM.

I had a vietnamese coffee here and it was really good. I was sad to hear that they don't serve Bánh Mì sandwiches here.

Very consistent with their food and service. Our favorite appetizer is the garlic fried chicken and I love their vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls.

I think I am addicted to their hainan chicken plate. First I order the goi cuon appetizer (best in class). - Dipping sauce is a little thin but that's ok - Mix in sriarcha sauce - A great way to start your meal Then the hainan chicken comes out next. - I always get double the scallion sauce, and 1 red chili (no soy sauce - just too salty) - The portion of chicken is generous; garnished with sesame oiled sliced scallions, 2 slices of fresh cucumber and 2 slices of tomato - The rice is made with broth (SO GOOD); it's a loose rice (eat it with a spoon) - It also comes with a small side soup with scallions (it might be made of chicken boullion, not all bone broth) They always oblige me with more soup. I used to order the large $4 bowl. But now tryna order the smaller $2 bowl. And they are kind enough to give me some do chua (a pickled element). Place is always clean, service is solid. They have other dishes I would like to try one day, after I OD on the Hainan Chicken. -

We didn't even finish half a bowl because it tasted too bad. The service was slow, even though there were a couple of customers at that time. If we needed something, we asked ourselves when my server was. Won't recommend it to anyone. Will never come back!!!

I really like the young coconut avocado -- it's perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and not too heavy. My daughter loves the beignets because they are always served warm and fresh, which I really appreciate. The black coffee isn't too strong for me, though it might just be that I'm already used to a lot of caffeine. The shop itself isn't very big, but it's very clean and nicely decorated. The presentation of the drinks and desserts is also very eye-catching. Most importantly, the staff here are very friendly and welcoming, and they always treat customers nicely, which makes the experience even better. Parking can be a bit difficult. The spots close to the shop are limited, and sometimes you have to park a bit far away. Overall, a nice cozy spot I keep coming back to.

Lemme tell ya now tho..the hype is legit. On this Friday afternoon, I happened to be lunchin' w/ my mums in the same plaza at the new Mai Phat Mi Gia 2 and was craving a mid-day pick-me up, so we stopped by. Located in the heart of Little Saigon on Bolsa Ave, facing outwards towards the street & Bolsa Mini mall, Viland is a cute & quaint coffee shop ~ serving up your traditional Viet coffees & matcha drinks, but with modern twists. There is plenty of seating & tables inside and the modern decor is inviting for the perfect coffee date, catching up w/ friends, studying, or even a quick stop to satisfy your coffee cravings (like me!). You order at the counter and/or on their touch-screen monitor (by the front entrance), then you are given a buzzer to await for your order at the pick-up counter. The staff was friendly & very efficient. They had an extensive menu featuring specialty drinks, fresh pastries, and light bites. Both my mumsy & I opt'd to try the young coconut blended coffee cuz I've been in my coconut era lately. Lol It was $6 for a 16 oz..so decently priced. It's very reminiscent to a frap with yummy young coconut blended bits found within. The coffee was strong, but once mixed well w/ the coconut, the flavors married perfectly and it was very balanced. At times, I wished for a bit more coffee hit, but it was actually just refreshing enough to end our lunch date. Both my mom & I loved our coffees (and let me tell ya, she's a hard critic to please) and would definitely come back to try the many other drink offerings. I was super bummed that the beignets sold out already (mind you, we stopped by about 1:30 pm on a Friday)..so it must have been good. :( Darn, next time! Total RxFoodie recommend!!!
