It all started with my coworker bringing me some egg rolls from Saigon Vegan and the rest is history....I am now a full on fan of Vietnamese vegan cuisine. The egg rolls from Saigon Vegan are excellent. They are hand rolled with taro, impossible beef, mung bean, mushrooms and glass noodle. I love how crisp these egg rolls are. They have the perfect crunch at first bite. The filling is so hearty and flavorful. The taro really stood out for me. I can say without a doubt that these egg rolls are on the top of my list of the best Vietnamese egg rolls I have ever tried. A few weeks after trying their egg rolls, my coworker brought me Saigon Vegan's garlic noodles to try. This was another delicious treat. I loved the yellow stir fried noodles topped with vegan beef strips, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu and a sprinkles of Parmesan. I was impressed with how all the ingredients came together. The noodles were rich and satisfying. I loved both the egg rolls and the garlics noodles from here, and now I am so excited to try out their other dishes. Not only can vegan dishes be healthy, but it can also be quite delicious too. I am indeed a fan!

If you LOVE Vietnamese food , get your ASS to the OC asap ! Orange Grove is a well ---- known Cali - Vietnamese Mecca of incredible Vietnamese cuisine & Saigon Vegan is just one of the treasures. Crazy flavor and Spice upon request you will crave indefinitely. This isn't just a " vegan " lovers spot , it's so good your carnivorous friends and veggie curious friends will enjoy . The portobello mushroom appetizer has THE PERFECT CRUNCH and the Pho ( spicy and regular ) are both delicious. Honestly you can't really order wrong here . The vegan ham is made "in house ". You can't beat the service either . The family ran business also owns the non - vegan Vietnamese restaurant down the road ... "fire pho " . One of the best vegan Vietnamese coffees I've ever had !

From a non-vegan.. this place was easily some of the best vegan food I've ever had. And affordable! The banh mi and Bún Chả Giò, the passionfruit juice was perfect. Service was fast and friendly, I'll definitely be back

Bun bo hue was great!! The best vegan version of this soup I've had, including the other vegan places you can find in Garden Grove and Westminster area. Variety of vegan meats, mushroom, flavorful broth with plenty of lemongrass flavor. Green Thai iced tea is great. Accurate tea flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. A good compliment to their food options. They have a lot of other dishes too. Employees were friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few tables inside for dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Tucked in the McFadden Shop strip. A vast variety of menu items to choose from! Out out time - 10 minutes Definitely recommend their Portobello Tenders 5/5 perfectly crispy and paired well with the aioli sauce. The SGV banh mi was excellent. It's very dense sized sandwich. I don't know if the hash brown is meant to be a filler, but I had to remove it only because of contrast. Ended up eating half a sandwich and 2 tenders which filled my appetite. Would come back even though I don't eat vegan food often.

Ordered takeout so cannot comment on service and ambience but I recommend this place! I love supporting small businesses and eating healthy so I'm very happy to have found this place. I ordered the bun rieu which was especially delicious and everyone else enjoyed what they ordered as well.

Oh wow the portabello tenders are divine!! ($8) There is about five large tenders in an order. Juicy, crisp, and flavorful and take it up a notch with the garlic aioli sauce. My only comment is that it's a bit too crisp, fried any longer and it would've cut the roof of my mouth.

Really delicious vegan / vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant! One of the best i've had in OC so far. Staff are super friendly and just give off really great energy. We ordered the garlic noodles and crispy noodles for pick up! We'll definitely be back!

I had the stir fry garlic noodles with tofu and veggies, passion fruit juice and the fabulous flan. All yummy and fabulous! There wasn't anything left on my noodle plate. I should have taken a second dish to go for later! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were plenty of seats on a rainy Saturday at 2pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were very friendly and I'd definitely come here again.

One of the best Vietnamese vegan restaurants! It's a small family owned spot. Service is great! I've been here a couple of times now and every dish I've tried has been delicious! No complaints! My fav appetizer is the portobello mushrooms! So good!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A hidden gem or best kept secret (?). A quiet and cozy Vietnamese/French influenced spot with friendly service tucked away in an area where there are several vegetarian options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is said by those that claim to know that the key to widely adopted vegetarian/vegan food is the seasoning, texture, and attention to detail in preparation. This is true of Saigon Vegan (meat substitutes made in-house). Even if you are not a vegan/vegetarian, you never miss the 'meat' experience. We lean towards the Lo Mein ( better that most non- vegan/vegetarian versions), the French influenced 'meatball beef' stew with carrot and potato - so tasty that you have to 'clean' the bowl with your french bread side, and the breaded mushrooms (legendary) - if you know, you know. I have a personal obsession for their Bah Mi sandwich as well. Its not traditional as its made with thinly sliced 'deli meat' - again, more French influenced. The first time I had it, my wife didn't tell me that it was vegan until it was utterly devoured - and I didn't care as it stands on its own as just 'damn good' An open mind leads to a well-lived life.

Amazing! Best vegan food I've had in a while. I was recommended to come try SAIGON because I was in the area and I would make the hour plus drive just to have this food again. It's a lovely small family owned business and the service was great! They really treat you like family! The portobello mushroom appetizer was outstanding and the soups were fantastic too! We ended up taking a bunch of items to go and they were great when we ate them later too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is quant and in a small strip mall. Plenty of parking![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was our second time here, and I was happy to have found this place again based on our first experience. The deep fried portobello mushrooms with aioli sauce is to die for! Amazing crispy deep fry that it tastes just like fried chicken, lol. We also had the best noodle dish with homemade tofu! It was delightful! The flan (made of soy), tasted better than the egg flan, not even joking! We got to meet the friendly staff of Daisy Duke & Vy...whom we found genuinely friendly and helpful. This place is a hidden gem in Garden Grove for Vegan!s!

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!
