I think it's cool there's a fully vegan Vietnamese restaurant around the area! The lady serving us (who also might be an owner?) was very kind and helpful regarding food allergies. We tried the fried portabello tenders and I got the stir fried noodles. The tenders were nice and crispy, I just wish they had more seasoning for flavor on top. The coating is pretty heavy too, so you'll feel full afterwards. I like that the noodle dish didn't skimp on veggies, protein or noodles! It was a huge portion size and good enough for 2-3 meals. It all started with my coworker bringing me some egg rolls from Saigon Vegan and the rest is history....I am now a full on fan of Vietnamese vegan cuisine. The egg rolls from Saigon Vegan are excellent. They are hand rolled with taro, impossible beef, mung bean, mushrooms and glass noodle. I love how crisp these egg rolls are. They have the perfect crunch at first bite. The filling is so hearty and flavorful. The taro really stood out for me. I can say without a doubt that these egg rolls are on the top of my list of the best Vietnamese egg rolls I have ever tried. A few weeks after trying their egg rolls, my coworker brought me Saigon Vegan's garlic noodles to try. This was another delicious treat. I loved the yellow stir fried noodles topped with vegan beef strips, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu and a sprinkles of Parmesan. I was impressed with how all the ingredients came together. The noodles were rich and satisfying. I loved both the egg rolls and the garlics noodles from here, and now I am so excited to try out their other dishes. This is where I really am a firm believer that good vegan food makes you forget about meat (I am not even vegan or vegetarian). These are my faves we got: 1) Vegan Pho (5/5): The soup was amazing!! My original review was for when this restaurant was called Inner Peace and never returned until almost 5 years later, and I don't recall the other menu to know how different the offerings are. During the most recent visit, we ordered a variety of food (almost everything on the marketing poster in the window), and the favorites are the Portobello Tenders with their delicious garlic aioli, the Egg Rolls, and the SGV Sub Banh Mi sandwich. The Crispy tofu was bland and didn't like for the plum sauce accompaniment. The Cauliflower was good but didn't like the orange sauce so will probably see if can ask for a different sauce. The Pho was okay (prefer the one at Mitasie in LF). The staff was very pleasant and friendly! It wasn't crowded and was able to have good conversations without too much competing noise. Parking was sufficient but part of the lot felt a little steep so make sure you engage your e-brake! Will definitely go back soon =) read more

House noodle soup (4/5) - I don't think this had the impossible beef that it claimed it did but still very delicious. Veggie chicken was so good! Broth was light but flavorful. Garlic noodles (4/5) - Also very solid dish, nice and garlicky. SVG sub banh mi (100/5) - Best thing I've tried so far. I was skeptical at first with the hash brown what??? I just spent $100 on a DoorDash order from Saigon Vegan, only to open a food container and find a LARGE, LIVE COCKROACH scurrying around inside. Finding a pest in your food is disgusting enough, but the reaction from the owner, Tony, was even more appalling. When I called to report this massive health violation, he was the snarkiest, most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. He actually had the nerve to tell me it was "impossible" because his employees package the food. The best part? In his desperate attempt to defend himself, he let it slip that they have an exterminator come EVERY MONTH. If your restaurant is clean and pest-free, why do you need a monthly exterminator on speed dial? Tony's arrogance and complete lack of accountability for a blatant biohazard is dangerous. This isn't just a "mistake", it's a sign of a deep-seated infestation and a business owner who clearly doesn't care about the safety or health of his customers. I have photos of the roach and will be reporting this location to the Orange County Health Care Agency (Environmental Health) immediately. I ordered the pho ap chao, which was a little bland but the vegan chicken was very good and had a satisfying texture. The green Thai tea is very similar to seaside's except it's slightly less sweet. Tea is fragrant and floral. This is a mom and pop shop, so the wait can be a little long but please be patient! A slight wait is a small trade off for good food at such good prices. My partner and I came in one evening (Friday around 5pm) to grab some dinner since we were in the area visiting some temples and the Asian Garden Mall to buy myself an ao dai. We decided to give this place a try as we only go to one restaurant in Santa Ana, we need to expand our mind and bellies! Parking here is small but we got lucky and was able to park right in front. We came in and ordered their Portobello Tenders, Bun Bo Hue, and their Banh Mi Curry. The restaurant was quiet but clean, and that's perfect! Portobello Tenders: OMG DO NOT SKIP THIS. The quantity was HUGE! The crispy crunch along with the juicy mushroom inside gave me such an exciting feeling in my mouth! The dip that came along with it paired so well! It actually was a lot for my partner and I and I was not able to finish our last tender, my tummy was so full at this point! I do not recommend taking this to go to eat because this test best fresh from the kitchen, I think when it has a chance to cool down the crunch is gone and the flavors may become muted. Bun Bo Hue: I love Bun Bo Hue, so I always try it any chance I get whenever I see it on the menu. They mentioned that this was their most popular dish so I had to try it. When it came it came with a side of veggies and a lemongrass chili sauce. First I tried the soup, I felt a little underwhelmed because of how hyped this dish was, I let my partner try it and he agreed.
