We had a great time at The Curiosity Shop Escape Room and finished with 3:29 minutes to spare! The whole concept was awesome from start to finish and the friendly spirits helped us along the way! All the objects in the room were very interesting and I could have spent another hour just checking them all out. Thank you Niko for making the experience so much fun, if I could give you 10 stars I would! read more

Wizards & Wires - We did it! October 18, 2025 - Escape Games Near Me - Riverside, California

This was a really fun escape room. It's a bit scary so probably not good for younger kids or anyone who doesn't like to be scared a bit. The supernatural theme was great and they had lots of cool, old relics. Niko was really nice and even let us start about 20 minutes ahead of our reserved slot since we arrived about 30 minutes early. read more

We did the phantom escape room and it was so hard lol. We finished with 4 min to spare, but it was so fun! It was a bday present for my Hubby and Son in law and we had a lot of fun as a family! I say do it!! The throwing game was fun too! REAL sharp object killing zombies they made. Interactive so fun. (In dead without a gun) read more

Super fun escape room (we did the Curiosity Shop). It was just my 10 year old and I... the clues are challenging but solvable... can be a bit scary for some but overall a great experience. Looking forward to going back and trying out the other available room. read more

It was my first time going to an escape room, I loved it. It was a paranormal, creepy theme. My friends and I were scared the whole time and held on to each other. Our host was great at the explanation the process, and answering questions. I loved it! I would definitely come back or do another escape room in general. I think four people was a perfect amount any more or less would be awkward and complicated. We had so much fun, even though we were terrified. It was challenging at some parts, but we really worked together as a team and figured it out! read more

This place had really high ratings in an Escape Room group on Facebook and that group was not wrong. My sons really liked the tools that are used. I liked the cues that were provided. I like that it was spooky but not scary. The clues were pretty staightforward but still required some thought. We only asked for one clue and then we got a little prompt at the end which was helpful. Overall, excellent experience. read more

Great time! Well thought out escape rooms. Had fun with the curiosity shop and the alien one. Was hard enough to be fun but not too hard to where it was unsolveable! Would recommend! read more

I came with my cousins to do the escape came, we called ahead and they were very kind and instructed us how to book. The escape game was very fun and challenging, but it was balanced to give us hints that kept us from losing track. Niko was a great host and I will definitely try to comeback! read more

Experience was more than I expected, absolutely amazing!!!!! Can't wait to do this again and conquer the next room!!!!

It was super fun! The host was great and funny! It had a few fun jump scares (just noises or movements nothing too crazy)! We definitely want to go back again for the next room. Just note the entry for rooms are opposite sides to one building and it won't be open until very close to your time slot. I'd recommend this place 100%! read more

We had a very fun time exploring the paranormal Curiosity Shop. We barely finished in time! The storyline was richly detailed, which tons of items in the "shop" to fiddle with while using the "tools" provided. Interestingly creepy and a very active set, without being overly scary or too much flashing for our epileptic participant. Some of us have been far and wide at other escape / puzzle rooms, and this was the best by far. read more

Love it! Very fun with my family and the "hint" system is unique. Especially the little indicator that goes off every time you got the clue correct! Highly recommend The Curiosity, will be back to do the Portal Chamber next! Super friendly staff member as well! read more

I drove down from AZ to visit some sorority sisters and check out this place. Omg, it was the best event we've had! I screamed some @$&? words a few times after being scared by the unexpected. Staff Niko was so great at explaining the game to us newbies. I'd definitely recommend this place for a really fun & scary time with friends, then afterwards walk down to the bars for a refreshment! read more

Fabulous experience that I would highly recommend. As all of you know, life can get busy and technology has hijacked our ability to spend time together and be present. As such, I decided to take my mom for her birthday with all of our family. It was a fabulous experience that allowed us to spend time together, with no cell phones and nothing on our mind aside from solving the puzzle to escape as a family. Lastly, Niko was amazing! read more

i've done around 5 escape rooms and i'll say this one was one of my favorites. its different and very unique from a typical escape room but in the best way possible. you're not actually trying to escape, it's has more riddles and very atheistic elements that are involved. you use tools that are very helpful and make it so much fun. don't let the surrounding area scare you, it's a bit more sketchy (drunk, homeless) but other than that, i would definitely suggest checking out the curiosity room. read more

An awesome experience, no doubt! We booked a team build here and it was so fun! Our collaboration and communication was put to the test and was a total success! It was challenging, detailed, and engaging. My Boss (an escape room fanatic) was impressed and said this may be one of his favorite escape rooms he has been to. Totally recommending to my peers and other companies looking for a solid team build. Shoutout to Niko for hosting us and making accommodation a breeze! read more

This escape room was so much fun! Did it with a group of 4 and I would say the atmosphere was def scary and creepy! No live actors. The puzzles were great and it was definitely very immersive!! Totally recommend and am excited for their 2 new rooms coming soon!! read more

This was a paranormal themed escape room and it was awesome! I loved that it was spooky and had some scares! No live actors or anything but I tend to go for the more creepy/scary escape rooms as they are personally more fun for me. I called and booked a 10:30pm appt for a party of three on a Thursday night and the gentleman over the phone was friendly enough to give us a discount of $5 off each ticket. We paid $75 total and it was soooo worth it. They take payment over the phone or online only and once you get there, there's a video that goes over what you'll be doing and which tools you'll need etc. Once that video ends, the timer for one hour starts. It was just the three of us as no other people had booked so it was definitely a bit difficult! This escape room isn't like a regular scavenger hunt but you're supposed to go in order so you're following the storyline. I won't ruin the escape room by giving away any details or hints but sadly, we didn't solve it! We were so close and the staff member Ayden (sorry if misspelled) was more than informative and very friendly! He explained how close we were and how we did a good job for being a small party of 3. He gave each of us a button to take home and we took fun pics of how we went MIA ;) He mentioned that they'll be expanding in Riverside and will be adding more rooms so I'd definitely get out there and give it a go! Also right now it is just one room but I highly recommend you guys check this out. I had only been to two escape rooms prior to this and I'd say it was definitely a bit difficult. Please note: this room has a minimum of 2 ppl and a maximum of 6 ppl. read more

This was my second escape room experience and I enjoyed it tremendously! From the moment you stand outside waiting to go into the escape room the experience has already begun! Niko was great prepping us and answering any questions we had before and after. It is definitely creepy, as it is a paranormal theme, and there were many startling moments and scary moments - but that is what made it so fun! It is somewhat challenging but there are "hints" throughout the way if you start to get stuck. Our group finished with 5 minutes to spare! Definitely a great experience in Riverside! read more

I was pleasantly surprised! I've done over thirty rooms, mostly in the Los Angeles area, but also some in Las Vegas and some in Poland. This was my first time doing an escape room in my own hometown, and it exceeded my initial expectations. My friend and I were lucky enough to do the room by ourselves, and the two of us finished with over ten minutes remaining. Although my friend and I did it by ourselves, I think this room is best done with three people, four at maximum. Any more than four and I feel like some people might feel left out if you're following the fairly linear pattern of movements in this room. Technically this room can be done solo, but it would be slightly cumbersome to try to hold everything by yourself. Also, be aware that you can be teamed up with strangers here if you don't book the whole room. If you're feeling lucky, you can chance it and hope no strangers book for your same time slot. As for puzzles, there seemed to be a higher reliance on scavenging here. However, scavenging is done via wordplay riddles and clues that you find, so you won't be blindly searching through the room. There was one particular task that was a huge surprise as I've never had to do something similar to this in another escape room, and I thought it was awesome! With regards to set design, The Curiosity Shop is quite honestly the creepiest escape room I've ever done, and I say this as someone that greatly enjoys haunts and scary events. If you check out my review for another particular escape room that's often billed as the scariest escape room ever, you'll see that I'm not the type that gets scared easily. Still, The Curiosity Shop did a fantastic job of creating an unsettling atmosphere that had me delightfully anxious. There are no scare actors here, so you don't need to worry about someone jumping out at you. If you're local and you're looking to either satisfy that itch to do another room or try a room for the first time, The Curiosity Shop is a fine choice. read more

We did the Curiosity Shop escape room. The staff was very professional and followed all COVID policies you would expect a business to have in place. The room was amazing.
