This place has excellent service and is a great place for a date night. Very similar to the concept of hotpot, but instead, the intent is to let your sauce thicken and for everything to settle down together. Yummy flavors and a fun activity to do with friends, a partner, or even family!

I wanted to give my sincerest and most enthusiastic gratitude to the staff at Witch Toppoki tonight (11/18/2025). The staff was incredibly engaging and very kind to me. The restaurant remains clean, well-organized, and playing good music with great vibes. The food selection is diverse and plentiful- there can never be a shortage of opportunities to try out here! I'm also just so enthused this place offers wide glass noodles as I feel like I don't see that in a lot of places!

Think this used to be where the Rio wrap place used to be located by the long gone Kirkland store. The Vitamin store is still standing. Parked at Witch Toppoki just after 6:20 PM. Folks are waiting outside. Some people standing by the bar waiting for their table. The guest list stated it would be a 50 minute wait list, 9 tables ahead of us. Still 5 ahead of us and it's been over 45 minutes after putting in our name. We were seated just after an hour after putting in our name on their wait list. It's over an hour wait for a table. There are 20 tables inside. Needs more seating at this all you can eat place, which likely keeps people here for longer than necessary? $65.02 for two of us for weekend dinner rates, it's $25.95/person. It's kind of a Tteokbokki hotpot concept. I couldn't find any sauce mix that wasn't overly sweet, even the original and mala spice was super sweet. The sweet potato and cheese rice cake weren't for me, off texture. I like the rod and barbell shaped ones best. Lance (?) started waiting on us, but the entire staff came by our table to check up on and us make sure we were good. I got my fill of enoki mushrooms, rice cake and watermelon. The king mushrooms and beech mushrooms were good as well. The crab fish balls didn't taste the way I had hoped. Not my jam. The kimchi isn't too bad. Looked pretty fresh. Most of the apps and fried items were so-so, nothing was worth going back for home. The spicy chicken and chicken drums were good, so was the mala fish soup and fish cake sticks. The broth is good. Staff explained the seasoning table and how to pick our spices and seasoning. Walk you to the table for the spices and keeps you satisfied and happy during your visit. The corn cheese is gooey, simple and good. Check out at your table, hand held card readers to cash out from the table. Easy, quick and convenient.

The food was super delicious and so fresh!! I can't wait to come back here again. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very nice and the service was great.

Pretty cool experience, and really nice to see Korean street food landing in the US! We went for lunch, which is $20/pp. Beware that the menu says beverages are included, but they aren't. Only water is free. We asked when we got there and they said they would not honor it. My dad loved the odeng and the odeng soup! The had a larger variety of fish balls, rice cakes, and veggies. The AYCE also includes the hot bar which consists of KFC, fries, onion rings, gyoza, and tempura. We used mala powder as our base, which was pretty good, but our dukbokki base kept turning out sweet and we couldn't figure out if it was from the powder or the soup base. We would have preferred minimal sweetness and amped up spice, but nonetheless, it was a good experience for lunch! FYI: The cheese ball dukbokki has sweet corn and cheese in it and was my favorite! Flavor explosion!

Overall this place is a fun new experience to try with a group of family and or friends. The place is well spaced out and the staff were very friendly. They explained how the process worked and gave some nice suggestions on what seasonings to use. As with anything that is family style for a restaurant, they only give you one large bowl to cook the food in so you have to be on the same page about what flavors and spice level your table wants. I went opening weekend when it was so busy! We had to sign up early on Sunday to even get a dinner reservation. The food was pretty good, but be warned it's a lot of fried and carb heavy foods so you do fill up fast! Would I go again? Probably not for awhile since it's so carb heavy, but I definitely recommend trying out the place at least once! There aren't many places in Michigan you can get Korean street food and all you can eat at that!

This place was pretty good! You have to try it once! I enjoy the variety. It reminds me of shabu shabu but in topokki version. The service was good and I really love vegetables so I got so many servings of it. Overall large space and didn't have to wait in line. Clean and overall good vibes

Honestly so sad to see this location has bad reviews. If you're a Topokki lover you are going to really enjoy this place!!! They have a different variety of topokki to chose from and I got to try some that I have never had. This is similar to a hot pot concept except with sauces/condiments for topokki. I thought for an all you can eat the price was great. 25 dollars on weekends and 23 during the week. You can get more pricey items like the sliced beef and shrimp to cook on the topokki which is really nice. As someone who loves veggies, they also had a large selection of veggies to choose from which made me really happy. Lastly the already made hot food was so delicious! Wings were crispy, mandu crunchy, and grilled pork belly to die for (plus there's more like japchae, beef bulgogi). The vibes were fun and livel, loved the decor. Lastly staff was extremely helpful and made great suggestion for drink pairings! Will definitely be back :)

I've been here twice! The first time was when they first opened and the second time was several months after. I really do enjoy the food there. The options for your pot is great. Aside from the rice cakes, I also do enjoy the other buffet food they have such as the meat, Korean fried chicken, japchae, dumplings and more. It is very fun to go with a group! It is a communal pot like traditional hot pot, so if family style isn't your thing, this may not be for you.

Had a great experience here! They have all you can eat hot pot. It's family style where you share one pot with your table. You choose dry spices to make your sauce and then choose all your toppings. They also have a buffet of fried chicken and other items. I appreciated the halal options.

I came here for a late lunch and found out lunch prices go until 4. That was a happy surprise. I had never been there before so there was a short instruction for what to do but basically everyone at the table shares the pot, the pot is flavored with a spice blend of your choice at the spice bar. They have suggested recipes but you are free to make your own. Broth is provided and added to the pot with the spices to make your cooking liquid and sauce. The cold food bar is where you can select food you would like to cook in the pot. There is also a hot food bar where they have select fried food options and cooked food options as well. Food is unlimited. Finally there is a fried rice section where you can select your toppings. I did not do this but it looks interesting. Overall, decent concept, a little confusing at first but is fun. It is decently priced. I will also mention that a couple came to the restaurant and one of them was in a wheelchair and the server staff was amazing! They helped them get their items from the open buffet bar, move chairs for accommodations and helped them cook their food as they were new the restaurant as well.

This location used to belong to Pizzapolollis, so sad it is gone, it was a family favorite. I heard about this place all over social media, so I was excited to try it. I was going to give a three, but it is more of a 2.5, and for many reasons, I will give it a two for now, but I am willing to come back. I like the concept but immediately was turned off by only having one hot bowl per table. The server explained that it is family style, like other restaurants in Korea she went to. I do appreciate that and do not mind family style, but this really limits me and my family for many reasons. It was truly a good thing I only came with one child who like myself, is not as picky with a communal pot and it easy going when it comes to food selection. If they continue to only allow one pot, I would only be able to come with one child at a time, and never come with my husband. She also explained everything too quickly, including the cooking method and times and also greatly underestimated how much broth should go in the bowl. The also explained we only get three bowl changes. That is fine, but if I am paying per person, why does each person not get a bowl? We went during lunch, thank goodness, but honestly, we did not eat $40 worth of food with one bowl then one $2 pack of ramen. And while she was a very kind, attentive, and personable server, it was not quite worth it. We were quickly taken to the powder area. I think each person should be able to pick their own powder combo or have more explanation of the flavors of the powder and not just spice levels. I did enjoy what we got, but I am not sure it would have been what my child would have picked. I picked out some shrimp, seafood mix, and rice cakes, and a bit of vegetables, which comprised of mostly mushrooms. It said there was beef there, but it was empty. And the variety of veggies was not very diverse outside of mushrooms. If my husband had been here, he would not have been able to eat, especially if we had to share a pot. She does not eat seafood or mushrooms and would have had absolutely nothing to eat. We poured the food and powder into the pot to cook and the server put so little broth, it would not have actually cooked even though I asked her several times and she insisted it would. I had to pour a lot more broth into the pot. We went to the buffet area. I did love all of the choices of chicken and different dishes, but they were all completely mislabeled, so I did not know what I was eating. I did enjoy them, but again, my husband does not eat all ingredients, and would not have been able to decipher what he could from what was available versus what the labels. The one bowl we ate was fairly tasty and so were the sides. We also eat ate one piece of watermelon and one slice of orange. But to be honest, there should be some sort of small dessert like at other comparable places. My child also wanted to try to do a ramen packet. The server put in such little water and again insisted it would cook the ramen. It indeed did not. In fact, I had to try to add a lot of water and it still all absorbed, made the noodles too al dente, and burned the bottom of the pot. Plus we were not instructed on how to work the heat so I could not control the cooking. And we are a ramen family, I have cooked hundreds of packets, this was the least successful ever and came out wrong, so I spent all of that money for a bad batch of noodles. My child also had a smoothie which was good, but it was more of a milkshake and not a smoothie. I also did not internet snooping. Other locations seemed to allow tables to have multiple pots and not just one. They also had advertised a cheese fondue which was not there. All in all, go to Kpot first if you want to have individual pots, more food, more choices, and dessert. That place is worth the cost and offers more value for your money. I will probably try this place again but be more insistent in having a pot per person and put more broth into the pots.

The create your broth bar.
Ashley F.

Great concept, poor execution. I like the idea of this place but it just didn't hit. First, the broth is like create your own. With dry spice mixtures. They have recommendations but it just didn't hit. We ordered drinks at the start of our meal and didn't get our lemonade until the very end and never got our coke. The hot food on the bar seemed old and a lot of the tags didn't match what was actually on the bar. Honestly, I really wanted to like this place but if you are looking for something similar level of quality as k pot or some of the other amazing Asian food in Madison heights area you will be disappointed.

The service isn't bad, but I think the expectation is that you will let them know if you need something. They don't keep an eye on your water or drinks, but they were quick to fill them once we flagged them down. We tried some of our personal favorites and new things. They had a corn tea, which I never tried before. The flavor is hard to describe and a bit outside my preferences. It has a strong earthy corn taste. It was hot and came in a big pot. The banchan were awesome. I loved their kimchi, cucumbers, and fish cakes the most. They also had a seaweed salad and bean sprouts. We have tried sundubu jjigae with pork, kimchi fried rice, fried dumplings, japchae, and pajeon. I wouldn't get the sundubu again. There was something strongly overpowering the soup that was too intense for me and kind of bitter. Ive ordered this soup before at other locations, so I was surprised that it didn't suit my palate. The pajeon was huge. I prefer them thin, and this one was crazy thick. It was also overpowered with garlic, and I don't think those words have ever come out of my mouth before. What I would order again---japchae, kimchi fried rice, and dumplings! I love that they have so many options, and I had fun trying new things.

Service is a bit more hands-off, but I personally prefer that so it was a good experience in my book! One thing I must say is that I felt the menu was a bit limited. A lot of the menu consists of soup, which obviously isn't a bad thing (I personally LOVE soup), but my partner felt a bit of disinterest as he's not too keen on it. We opted for bbq and a shared entree (I can't recall the name, but it had pork belly and squid) instead. Both were tasty! The bbq also came with sides and two bowls of rice.

We got barley tea, which was complimentary. The service was below average. It was busy but our server never came back once to check on us. Imagine my surprise when I saw they were reopening a short bit later, but in Troy! This review is long overdue. The Loco Moco is my favorite by far; the gravy is incredibly savory, the burger patties are well seasoned, and the egg yolks are perfectly runny. Served on top of rice + with some perfectly made Mac Salad (not "pasta salad"), every bite is so good!! I also really enjoy the Meat Jun special that they have every once in awhile and the Pork specials they had for a bit were quite good as well. In their previous space in Lansing, they had a bigger space with more tables and the eat in service was handled very well. In Troy, I read that they specifically picked a smaller space to largely do take out/pick up only due to personal circumstance.
