Good food, good service, no complaints. This is my go to fried chicken spot in the area and they never disappoint!

Bb.q chicken landed in MI and thank goodness it did! It is one of the best spots for KFC in the area. The chicken is super crispy on the outside with a juicy tenderness inside, and the sauce that soy garlic (you can have multiple in one order! ) is divine! it is sweet, salty, and has divine umami. If you want some spice - go after the hot spicy that brings a good kick! My favorite thing is that the sauce coats your tongue as you take each bite. We also got the tteokbokki - and those are divine. The cheese over top gave it the perfect pull and the chewy texture was the best juxtaposition to the chicken. The staff was friendly and quick, and although the dine-in area isn't super large, I have always found a spot to sit. If you're craving some KFC definitely worth the visit

First, I loved that there were plastic gloves for us to wear when eating the chicken so it kept our hands from getting messy. Second, the chicken was super yummy and crunchy! I ate every inch of the crispy breading. My friend and i really liked the honey garlic and Gangnam style wings. The wings with 2-3 flakes next to them weren't even spicy, but still good. The kimchi fried rice was okay, but my friend and I weren't a fan of all the bell peppers in it. The portion was enough to split between two ppl as a side. Unless you really love rice and want the whole dish to yourself. The service was nice! The poor guy was working the front all by himself and it got pretty busy at one point. The place was pretty clean and there are tvs to watch if you need entertainment and the music isn't too loud for conversations.

I was very pleased with the chicken wings from here. The chicken was actually cooked well but not dry. You can tell they were fresh wings and not frozen. The sizes were great as well. The sauce choices get overwhelming because there's so many to choose and you want them all. You can always order a side of sauce. The staff were pretty nice and patient as well we're making our order. They provided great advice when searching for our meal. The table has these rice cakes snacks that comes with your meals while you wait. The tables also have gloves which was a plus. You don't get your hands dirty while eating. Prices are a little expensive, but I can say the quality is great. Would definitely eat here again.

Best thing about bb.q, other than the light, crunchy taste of their chicken, is the fact that THEY DON'T USE ANY SEED OIL to fry their chicken. They use olive oil with a blend of spices resulting in light tasting, non-greasy chicken wings. Even with the sauces, it's still crispy and light. Many sauces to choose from, we tried their popular cheesling flavor and the spicy galbi. Both lived up to their popularity, my favorite being cheesling. Each order of wings comes with their fresh pickled daikon radish which gives that pickled crunch, a perfect compliment to the wings. Even the simple fries we ordered were good because you could actually taste the potato as opposed to other places which fry in reused seed oils, making its fries heavy, greasy with zero taste. The gentlemen who ran the restaurant during our visit, Jeremy and Fred, were very friendly, professional, attentive and answered all our questions about the menu. This is a dine-in and take-out place. Plenty of room for dine-in and very clean. They will take your order once you seat yourself or you can place your order at the front counter. We also noticed a busy stream of take-out which moved pretty fast. Looking forward to trying the many other flavors of wings as well as the other dishes such as their fried rice, yaki udon, Ddeok bokki as well as the the many other sides.

I came here because I heard they had halal options. Only their whole and half chicken is halal. They only have 3 flavor options for whole/half chicken which was a bummer. They make their chicken fresh to order. We tried the secret sauce and hot spicy sauce. I liked the secret sauce better which was more sweet. The chicken was crispy and fresh. The service was weird. The girl who "greeted" us seemed annoyed we came up to the front counter and told us to sit at a table to order. The kid who took our order was giving us a hard time about ordering 2 half chicken orders and kept insisting we just order the whole. We tried explaining we wanted to try 2 different sauces (they have a weird rule that you can order only 1 sauce for the whole chicken). Overall the whole experience was below average.

Stop playing! This moment couldn't be better. These wings are crunchy spicy and delish! You could say I'm touring chicken spots. Noori and kimchi box is up there. This is one up on texture. I got the secret sauce. From the reviews saying it wasn't hot enough, I initially ordered the wings of fire. Just so happen some of the staff were eating and let me try the spicy and the secret sauce. The spicy was fire! I mean super hot with a tingle on my throat. I told them no wings of fire! The secret one was perfect and got it with a side of spicy and ranch. They were piping hot, little bit of sweet and has to be in my top 5 fave crispy wings. I will drive the 30 min easy to do it again. You have got to try it! And get the pickled radish, you will thank me for it!

My friend and I stopped by bb.q Chicken for dinner this past Tuesday. He's been to this location multiple times and loves the fried chicken here. I've had other bb.q Chicken in other locations, so I knew what to expect already. I'm glad to see that Troy (and the Metro Detroit area) is finally getting a lot more Asian food options! I love that there are so many different options here. My friend and I decided to try a flavor that we both haven't had before. LARGE WINGS (24 PCS): SPICY GALBI - 38 These are supposedly spicy, but I'd say it's on the sweeter side than it was spicy. The first few wings were so good because the skin was so crispy. The chicken meat was also so juicy. How can skin be that saucy and crispy at the same time? However, once we got to our fourth or fifth wing, the sweetness of the sauce became a lot, and that's why I started picking off the skin just to eat the chicken. Overall, glad we tried it, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a big sweet tooth. The restaurant wasn't too packed but it still took awhile for quality chicken to come out. Overall, I'd recommend giving bb.q Chicken a try if you love Korean Fried Chicken. They play the Crash Landing On You bb.q Chicken scenes at the restaurant again and again, haha.

Finally got to try this place after so many people raved about it. Let's say it lives up to the hype that even my mom who is a frying food connoisseur, was impressed with the chicken. She said it's super crispy and juicy still. I wasn't crazy about the cheesling powder nor the secret sauce. But the original plain and honey garlic was delicious! The honey garlic batter seemed different from the original one though. Both still very good. It is busy though but we went on a Sunday around lunch time. Food came out good timing for us though. So good I want more lol.

The service isn't bad, but I think the expectation is that you will let them know if you need something. They don't keep an eye on your water or drinks, but they were quick to fill them once we flagged them down. We tried some of our personal favorites and new things. They had a corn tea, which I never tried before. The flavor is hard to describe and a bit outside my preferences. It has a strong earthy corn taste. It was hot and came in a big pot. The banchan were awesome. I loved their kimchi, cucumbers, and fish cakes the most. They also had a seaweed salad and bean sprouts. We have tried sundubu jjigae with pork, kimchi fried rice, fried dumplings, japchae, and pajeon. I wouldn't get the sundubu again. There was something strongly overpowering the soup that was too intense for me and kind of bitter. Ive ordered this soup before at other locations, so I was surprised that it didn't suit my palate. The pajeon was huge. I prefer them thin, and this one was crazy thick. It was also overpowered with garlic, and I don't think those words have ever come out of my mouth before. What I would order again---japchae, kimchi fried rice, and dumplings! I love that they have so many options, and I had fun trying new things.

Service is a bit more hands-off, but I personally prefer that so it was a good experience in my book! One thing I must say is that I felt the menu was a bit limited. A lot of the menu consists of soup, which obviously isn't a bad thing (I personally LOVE soup), but my partner felt a bit of disinterest as he's not too keen on it. We opted for bbq and a shared entree (I can't recall the name, but it had pork belly and squid) instead. Both were tasty! The bbq also came with sides and two bowls of rice.

One thing I love is that you have the option to cook your own food at the table or have them cook it in the back for you. My only complaint is that the grill doesn't always seem to get hot enough, so we usually just ask them to cook everything in the back. The staff can be a little hit or miss. Sometimes you get someone who seems annoyed by simple requests, and other times you get someone warm, fun, and excited to share more about the food and culture.
