The kale slaw was good but not a true slaw and a bit dry for placement on a sandwich. The seasoning here vs HHC; has a bitter finish if you dont use the DHC sauce. However, the bun was better with DHC and held up well on the sandwich unlike HHC. The service was top notch, the cashier managed my party of 7- different orders patiently and was very pleasant. I honestly felt like they were grateful for our patronage. Dont see that too often! As with the competitor the pricepoint on these high end fast food joins is just too high. $20 for lunch is pretty high. Oh and of course they have the tipping option on the kiosk. Honestly, go to Shake Shack down the street, their lemonades are great and refillable, also larger and less expensive. Personally, Dave's Hot Chicken would be my go-to in the hot chicken category of fast food. And Shaquille O'Neil's chicken place is the place I would return to for a variety of options plus milk shakes. The shakes here were honestly too expensive to try even though they looked good. Since parking was limited, I imagine most people were at Panda next door, where the prices are better and the portions are bigger. Cluckin' Hot or Cluckin Not? Let's see…read more.. I stopped by CHC for lunch recently, always excited to give a new hot chicken restaurant a try! The building itself seems to have been updated recently. There's tons of seating indoors, and it seems like they do a lot of takeout business. The staff is friendly, and the menu is pretty expansive. You'll find your usual standard fare for hot chicken, with a splash of Indian (Desi) and Korean thrown in as well! You can tell the menu is catered to the current hot chicken craze among Millennials/ Gen Z (see also: "tendies"). The service can be a bit slow right after they open. We arrived right at 11 and found that tbey were still heating up oil, etc-- it took 20-30 minutes for our orders to arrive, making it a tight fit for the lunch break. The real tough pill to swallow for me is the spice level experienced. I ordered the tenders in "cluckin hot" and I can assure you that they were cluckin not. I expect a lot more heat in the second hottest spice tier, so this was a disappointment. That said... I'm willing to give it another shot! CHC, I'll be back -- let's see what the cluck is all about!

The staff was so friendly and working so hard cooking what looked like super fresh chicken. It tasted even better this weekend. I love the spicy fried chicken the most with adobo rice and spaghetti. The gravy was not my favorite the first time, but so good now and the biscuit was my second fav to Popeyes being first, but still fluffy and buttery. And while I tell you it was fast and fresh service, it was prime time dinner time on a weekend, and the long lines did not slow anyone down, they seemed to have worked out all of the bugs. I love the pineapple drink the most, but the kids got some refreshers, and I love that they still have those fun drinks, I got one the time before. I would love to see an expanded dining room, but I would also love to see more metro Detroit locations. I bet Novi would be a great spot to open, I will be your customer!
