$12 breakfast burrito in the city?! What a steal…read more Gilberth's Latin Fusion caught my eye as I was passing by looking for coffee and breakfast. The rustic/home style decor was very welcoming and it seemed that a lot of the folks knew the cashiers/barista! Some people even stopped by just to say hi and welcome back the barista that was on leave for a bit. I forget his name, but he was a lovely person to chat with! I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada ($12) and an iced latte with Oat Milk ($6). It took ~15-20 for my burrito but the latte came out within five minutes and was made fresh with Portrero Trade Operations coffee beans! While waiting, I ended up buying a bag of coffee beans with flavor notes that were so unique- "cola, tomato, and herbaceous". For $25 you get a whole pound of coffee beans, which most only offer 12oz now. Get a bag while you can! The breakfast burrito was served with one green and one red salsa plus a small bag of chips. The burrito was decently sized and very juicy. I was a bit sad to see that the cheese wasn't melted inside, but the fresh pico de gallo inside totally made up for it. The carne asada had a great bite to it and everything was seasoned well. The salsa verde was absolutely stunning. Not too acidic and just the right amount of spice to go with my burrito. I ordered for takeout, but next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going to consider dining in for the full experience.

The staff was nice enough and the ambience was much better than I expected based on the outside. The menu feels random but normal enough. They have your staples. I started with the fried brussels sprouts. They had a nice flavor to them, but a lot of pieces were flat out burnt. Honestly, I was too hungry to complain about it so I just ate it. I had enchiladas for my entree. They somehow reminded me of a great lasagna, but they were just OK as enchiladas. The ambiance is nice enough to warrant a return visit, but I'm not rushing to come back. Related: they only serve beer and wine so there's that

The Double Decker is bout 2-4 min away by car and 10 min at most by foot from my house and delivery time was supposed to be to be 20min. So after about an hour, John from DD calls me and states my order has been sitting at the counter for over 45+ min, apologizes I haven't received my order and he attempted to contact the GH driver several times. So I attempted to contact GH customer service and the only to speak with someone is via chat... However, I then get a call from GH during my chat session and states the restaurant is closing and they don't have any drivers to p/u order so they're just canceled my order. Ok... At this time, the wife is like Im hungry so wheres my burger. Im like, whelp, look like you and the pup don't get to eat tonight . She didn't really find that funny and then I receive another call from John. Long story short, he tells me that he really sorry but the driver never showed up. However since Im so close, he'll deliver my order himself. Im like, you just got off work so no worries, I'll figure something else out for dinner. He states it's not a big deal and he didn't want to see the food goto waste or my family go hungry. My guy drops off my order in 5 minutes and the wife the story ends on a happy note for the wife and my rottie is very appreciative to John for his burger patty. So, Im probably all over the place but once again shout out to John for all his help.BTW the food is good, prices are super reasonable, and obviously they have great people that work there so go support Double Decker if you live close or are in the area! MY GOODNESS, it was probably one of the best burgers I have had in awhile. I would say I order some fancy-pants burgers too. From the photo you can't tell what's going on, but the flavor of the meat with ingredients was perfect - however it was the very soft bun that won me over. It was so soft, like it was baked the same day. We all loved the burgers we had and they filled us right up. We didn't even have fries or anything else with our meal. I will most definitely be back to try the fries and chicken wings, but had to share my review and photos of DD. Check it out.

My partner and I ended up getting the margarita pitcher deal that came with 50 wings... (Hear me out). We got pretty tipsy off of the pitcher because the bartender put in a lot of tequila. So it's definitely worth it. We ate as much wings as we could, and saved the rest in our own Tupperware. There was a sign at the bar telling patrons that you couldn't take out any leftovers, but when we spoke to the bartender, he told us that Tupperware would be extra charge so we were lucky that we brought our own at that time. Now, the wings: Some of them were pretty dry. I'm assuming the bar would cook them before the happy hour rush and then they would reheat them with the sauces that people ordered. My partner, and I tried the buffalo, lemon pepper, teriyaki, and mango habanero. The mango habanero was spicy and sweet. I think that was our favorite. I was a little disappointed with the lemon pepper because it was really salty. And the other two were pretty mid. The staff was really nice. The vibes were pretty nice. We were early to the happy hour so there wasn't that much people and we also sat outside in the back patio, which was pretty cool. I could definitely see this bar being a very popular spot. I think if you come here with a big group of people and get the margarita pitcher with the 50 wings, it's a pretty good deal splitting it out with your friends. They have other deals as well where you would get a certain number of wings if you ordered a beer or a beer pitcher, etc. We just wanted to get as many wings as possible and get tipsy lol. I recommend this spot if you're meeting up with friends or had a long day at work.

This place has so much going on. It makes it ideal for so many different things. Hot day? Want to bring your doggie?? They have an airy patio and a bunch of cute tables out front. The patio is covered so when it rains, it's also ideal. Feeling bougie? Order some oysters and a glass of one of their fancy cocktails. Handicapp or have kiddos? They got you covered. Need a cool place for a dinner date? There's tables inside. Have a group? Also not a problem. Feeling peckish and just need to get out of the house? Go sit at the bar, order a beer, and watch the game. Make sure to order the thrasher fries with malt vinegar salt and pepper and Dijon and black pepper aïoli. It is truly as delectable as it sounds, and by far my favorite thing there! That being said, I am a french fry aficionado. We also tried the coconut chicken sandwich which I found to be a bit different than a lot of standard fried chicken sandwiches. I did ask for the chili sauce on the side because I don't like it to be too sweet. Boyfriend loved it with the chili sauce. I liked it without. I did order a side of aïoli. Another thing I found really nice was that they use the chicken thigh rather than the breast. Most of the fried chicken sandwiches I've had use the breast and this was a very nice change. The chicken was juicy and the sandwich was super tasty. They offer all sorts of tasty delights, like fish tacos, mochicko chicken bites, mac & cheese with or without bacon and crab! Yum. If I was to make one recommendation, it would be to add another salad to the menu. Your menu offers a wonderful variety of delicious treats that are on the richer and heavier side so having another option for something on the lighter side would be fantastic. The service here was outstanding. We came early on a Tuesday, and the bartender was great. She was very helpful and excellent at her craft. The other staff members were equally friendly and so welcoming.
