This place makes real good food. I have only tried the mashed potatoes and gravy along with the red beans and rice. Both items are so delicious. I recently had a craving for mashed potatoes and gravy along with red beans and rice. This is when I decided get it. I bought it through an order delivery via Postmates. Both items I had were delicious and I enjoyed this meal. I suddenly had a craving for mashed potatoes and gravy earlier this evening. So I stopped in and got this for a snack. I originally meant to get red beans and rice, but they were all sold out of this item. That's when I opt in for something else. As Yelp reviewer Sam mentioned, this is real solid food in the area. If you want some freshly cooked items on the menu, it's best to come in earlier. Preferably right when they open. Otherwise, positive experience here.

This place has good chicken. It also has good red beans and rice. The mash potato and gravy was delicious. The breast piece sizes were generous .

"Buffalo Wings"

Chicken is great. Just don't get the wings. These are the "Buffalo Wings". Kind of expected supermarket brand buffalo sauce lathered over regular wings coming from a KKC, but this is next level.

I ordered through grubhub a 4 piece chicken tenders meal along with wedges and 2 biscuits. chicken tenders were dry and had no spice at all. it honestly tasted like eating a dried up fried rat. wedges were fine. I never got any sauce with my meal and it was missing one biscuit. so disappointed with this place

Was on the way to visit a friend and saw that there was a Krispy Krunchy Chicken on the way. I decided to pick something up to bring over plus I've always wanted to try this chain. I grew up in the neighborhood so the area doesn't bother me. Parking is the super save market lot and not a problem. Location is in the super save market which is more convenient than a gas station to me. Was there kinda of late so they ran out of a lot of sides. I ordered a 12 piece mixed and honey buns. Had to wait 10mins as he needed to fry it. Again no problem as i can wander around the market. The cashier was friendly, polite, and happy to help. The smell of fried chicken in the air was great lol. When i was able to eat my order i was sad about how long i took to try this place out. They are really good. Crisp on the outside juicy insides. Even the breast was the same way!!!!! Honey buns were yummy as well. I will definitely return to try other things.

The 'biscuit' is basically yellow cake mix but the chicken is super good. The location is dicey but its right on the T line.

The preggo wifey was craving Cajun one day and was like "BRUH we have never gone to Cajun House…read moresince living here for a decade, and every time I bring it up, you say 'nah'. If its not the time to go there now mid-pregnancy with mid-CRAVE, then idk what life is." So we got the green light, finally. And I must say, if you're local and craving Cajun, then invite folks from outta City to eat here. My circle of people always be going to Cajun spots around East Bay or SJ. And they're all good but I say its worth for them to come INTO the City to bring that economy this way. Why is it worth it? FRIED RICE AND GARLIC NOODLE OPTIONS. and other choices. I feel like this spot has got some history to it too. The outside is sick af. The service is VERY ATTENTIVe. The ambiance is like there's some booths and tables with the classic Asian dark wooden panels that make it look like you in a restaurant in Rush Hour.

Overall experience disappointed me enough to go out of my way to leave this review…read more Now, I adore seafood boil so this was disheartening. We came in at 6:45-7; we ordered cajun fries, a seafood combo, garlic noodles, & some steamed rice. Canjun fries to start, was the only thing that tasted good. Garlic noodles were bland and consistency was too soft; I expected from the reviews stating "stand-out" garlic noodles it would taste exceptional, but instead they're noodles with a whisper of garlic. The seafood boil was probably the worst. They definitely gave us the scraped leftovers of the pot, poured in boiling water, and called it a day. ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR. We kept trying to dig into the bag and giving it an absurd amount of chances to eventually discover better flavor using all my faith, only to be left so dissatisfied. It was supposed to be a mix of Canjun and Garlic Butter flavor, but the better description compares to orange water with chopped vegetable bits. No richness, no gloves given, flavor and viscosity similar to water, and the seafood definitely wasn't fresh either as it caused our stomachs to feel pretty sick after. I felt so shocked I experienced a seafood boil that could hold no flavor especially when you consider all the seasonings and preparation that goes into it. I left feeling sad having to pay for an inadequate dinner.

It was my daughter's first time and she loved it just as much as I did. We came during restaurant week so we decided to get the Creole Sampler so she could try a bunch of different items. (Sampler included red beans and rice, collard greens, fried catfish, hush puppies, plain beignet and gumbo). We also ordered the beignet flight and shrimp and grits. Plenty of food for the 2 of us, plus we had left overs. I can't not order the shrimp and grits. It's just so damn good! It's so rich and flavorful! It came out SUPER hot. Grits and cheese still bubbling. My daughter and I were both surprised she liked the collard greens. She's usually not a fan. She also liked the red beans and rice and she doesn't usually like beans either. That just goes to show how amazing the food is here! We came in around 4something pm on a rainy Sunday. There weren't many people there, but by the time we left it was more than half full. Service was friendly, and there was a band playing, which was a nice touch.

Let me start with the star of the show - the Shrimp & Grits. The flavors blended so well I did a little dance in my seat. Creamy, savory and delicious! I will be dreaming about the Shrimp and Grits from now on. The Bananas Foster French Toast melted in my mouth. So yummy. I wasn't a fan of the Crawfish Beignets. It was something about the flavor of the red powder/ seasoning that left me underwhelmed. All in all, one of my favorite stops while I was in town.

The fried bread was bland, the meat had little to no flavor, and there was far too much lettuce. The beef and broccoli was dry and also lacked flavor. The fried rice was the worst dish we tried, even after asking for soy sauce (and only receiving three packets), it didn't improve. There were a few highlights: the dumplings were good, and the egg rolls were just okay, though they had an odd flavor I couldn't quite identify. It was some kind of spice or herb. The General Tso's chicken and garlic orange chicken were both solid, and the chow mein was decent. Ordering was frustrating. Several items we wanted--the pineapple beef, shaking beef, and Kung Pao chicken--were all unavailable. We also tried to order a pineapple soju, but they didn't have it, so we settled for peach instead. The decor was nice, but the dining experience felt lacking. Food was served in to-go containers with paper plates, cups, and plastic cutlery, which took away from the experience. There was also a language barrier with our waiter, which made communication difficult--especially when asking questions about the menu or trying to place our order since the QR code system wasn't working. OVERALL, not an experience we would repeat.

She had heard about this place from a client that she had worked with a couple weeks ago. The place had a really cool vibe to it; it's like you're stepping into a more intimate, Cracker Barrel. We were seated by the front of house pretty quickly. The space could hold quite a few people, there is a bar area and outside seating. We sat in the back by the kitchen. When we got there, we ordered a couple drinks and a lot of food. I had the okey-dokey artichokey and my partner had the respect your elders drink; both were strong and tasty. It went well with our appetizers of fried okra and fried calamari. I really enjoyed the jalapeño aïoli that came with the okra so much that I started dipping the calamari in it. The calamari coating on the outside was a lot heavier than what I was used to, but it was still really tasty. For our main entrées, I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens and my partner got the porch burger with fries. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry. It was juicy and I really liked putting their homemade hot sauce on the chicken and greens. The habanero hot sauce was really spicy, but I liked how sweet it was. My partner's burger was cooked perfectly and it was a big portion. I definitely recommend this place to someone who is bold enough to go on a date and still eat with their hands. Somehow, this was elevated southern food, which could be shown by the prices, but I think it's worth it once in a while.
