Run don't walk. Truly crispy. Truly crunch. Definitely spicy. And not from a gas station. Plus endless choices for Turkish/Arabic pastries.

No frills fried chicken to go place. Chicken flavor was decent, crunchy and reheats well.

Y-U-M, full stop…read more How can I have lived in SF for more than 25 years and never once made it to this place?! For two of us we ordered a dozen oysters (sweetwaters, kusshis and miyagis), a bowl of clam chowder, the steamed artichoke w/citrus aioli, the Caesar salad w/crab and some bread on the side. And two glasses of Corsican rosé. ALL of it was scrumptious. It was just the right amount of food for us, though next time we will downsize the clam chowder or order a plain Caesar to fit another half dozen oysters into our bellies. Service was uniformly attentive and friendly and the place is cute and clean. We arrived at about 5.40 and were seated about half an hour later at the bar. Coming back!!

Delicious shellfish meals has always been on my mind before I personally give up on them. I preferred indoor dining since I got to see how hungry customers like their food so much. After finding out about the specials, it's too bad there's never any single fish dishes let alone mostly shellfish meals. Therefore, a shellfish salad was a suitable choice. A pair of prawns, Bay shrimps, crab meat remains, olives, slices of tomatoes, slices of radish, and the romaine lettuce as a base. The blue cheese dressing I've chosen didn't overwhelm the shrimp and crab flavors as I continue to enjoy every single bite. I'll be more than glad to have cioppino and some oyster shooters, but having the shellfish salad is the last shellfish meal I would ever have. I still give two thumbs up to Anchor Oyster Bar for their local sustainable seafood selection.

I'd bookmarked Woodhouse Fish on Yelp and ever since, had craved a lobster roll…read more I was greeted warmly and given a beautiful table in its welcoming dining room. Soft, beautiful shades of blue gave the ambiance a relaxing vibe. Started with phenomenal steamed mussels and Littleneck clams ($24) with a savory white wine broth punctuated by oregano and then the smaller lobster roll (they offer a 3 and 6 oz size), chilled and with mayo ($29). If you'd like, you can also get the lobster roll warm and with melted butter. Service played as important role as food and the staff was attentive even as the tables filled and a good amount of to-go orders came and went. I appreciated they asked if I wanted my steamed clams and mussels with shoestring fries on the side - or in the seafood bowl. I didn't have to ask twice for a side of mayonnaise or aioli. A cold Humble Sea draft beer ($9) was a great accompaniment to the seafood. Woodhouse Fish is a moderately priced seafood restaurant that's affordable and in the residential and shopping area of Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights. Low key and enjoyable, Woodhouse Fish is a wonderful little gem.

Everything was fresh and delicious, and they didn't skimp on the portions. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly, though it took some time to get the check. The restaurant got busier after noon, and some parties had to share tables. The vibe inside is nice with an ocean theme & decor. Highly recommend Woodhouse Fish for great seafood! I'm still thinking about the crudo & branzino!!

I had the small crab louie salad with a cup of clam chowder. Hubby went for the Caesar Salad and if I recall, fish. And the bread... I love bread. Our host ordered desserts to go and lots of wine. PERFECT. Imagine my delight to see Scoma was on restaurant week. Unfortunately what I would order was only $2 more regularly on their lunch special menu. So while I definitely will return because the food was so good, you will not find me here at Restaurant Week. I was hoping for a little something something more for Restaurant Week. I do have to say that Scoma is perfect in so many ways. For my budget, it is pricey but there are specials that allow you to have a special experience at a lower price point. Highly recommend.

Our server was engaging and absolutely on top of it and of course you cannot beat the location on the water and old school ambiance! We were not that hungry so just went with some classics - clam chowder and shrimp bisque which were all fantastic l! My husband had linguistic with clams also delicious! The only thing I was not a fan of were the baked oysters - their take on oysters Rockefeller - they were too big and too saucy so they were lukewarm inside! That said we ended with their classic tiramisu which was fantastic and very tasty Always a San Francisco classic!

I started with one of their mocktails, the Dos Flores with hibiscus, tonic water and lime which was the perfect refreshing drink to start the meal with. We shared the chef selection of oysters, tuna tartare with rice cracker, and milk bread to start. Loved their milk bread which was so soft with a nice sprinkle of salt on top. Such a nice shareable bread. For my entree I got the pan seared black cod which was just perfectly cooked. Super moist and flaky inside with great crispy skin! It was served with celery root purée and peeled grapes which was not necessarily my choice for sides with fish but unique for sure. Overall we had a great time and service was exceptional. The ceviche was definitely the star of the show, so I highly recommend giving that a try! The drinks are good too, which they better be considering they're around $19 a pop LOL. Overall, a beautiful spot for happy hour, but the food can be a little inconsistent.

The ceviche had fish, shrimp, lime, and orange!! The orange added a unique hint of sweetness to the ceviche. I also ordered the burrito with black cod. When you order indoors, all the fresh fish options for the day are lined up for you to choose. There is also a fish of the day offered everyday for a slightly discounted price. The black cod was so fresh!! I also really enjoyed their carrot habanero sauce. It it sold in store as well, but they have them on the tables outside for you to enjoy with the meal. Good tacos, but not wow'd at $9 each, fish slightly dry. I remember them being better after having them last time at the Mill Valley location. Limited free for all outdoor seating. We came here on the slim chance SF gets a nice clear day, with direct sunlight beaming down on the unshaded tables, only countered with sunscreen or a physical shade e.g. umbrella. Otherwise, it's probably normally cloudy, overcast, or chilly in the Outer Sunset neighborhood. The menu looks neat and I usually like to look beforehand to avoid holding up the line with indecisiveness. But after getting there, there were more options for different fish and we weren't sure what to go with, so just went with the default fish of the day. Lady taking my order wasn't rude, but also not really informative for the newer customers. A little disorganized. Thankfully they have an option to order online, which is what I might do next time, even though not everything is explained online either.
