We discovered this place completely by chance--and we're so glad we did. The space is small and unassuming, but the dishes that come out of the kitchen are anything but. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots for seafood in San Francisco, especially for Dungeness crab, which is always incredibly fresh. This visit, we decided to combine two favorites. We ordered a whole Dungeness crab in their "All That and a Bag of Chips" sauce (yes, it actually comes with a bag of chips!) and added a pound of crawfish. The dish arrived generously coated in the house sauce, which was rich, bold, and impossible to resist. We ended up ordering a side of garlic bread just to soak up every last bit. To drink, we paired the meal with their house Sauvignon Blanc, which complemented the seafood perfectly. The service here is also exceptional. Ramzy is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always a pleasure to chat with, making the experience feel even more welcoming. We're usually in the Bay Area visiting family in Oakland, but we happily make the drive into San Francisco just to eat here. It's truly that good.

I love coming to Bernal to meet up with friends. The sun has always been out on this side of the city. It bustles with just the right amount of people, dogs, and cars, but not overwhelmingly so. This last visit was no different! My good friend made a reservation at Seafood Station for five at 12:30pm last Saturday. One of us in the group is pescatarian. This place had just what we needed - seafood and a bottle of wine to celebrate friendship and good wishes. The complimentary bread and olive oil was delicious. Some of the group shared oysters. A couple of them got steamed mussels and a couple of us got fish & chips. I also got a cup of clam chowder and I was not disappointed! I can say that everyone enjoyed their food. The service was stellar. We were checked on regularly and well taken care of. Seafood Station is not a huge space, but it is a decent size with several tables. I recommend this place if you're looking for a great seafood spot!

Loved this place. Casual restaurant with a nice variety of seafood and fish at excellent prices. We each ordered something different. The salads were fresh and ample . The kale salad was amazing and they added large shrimp to the salad. The wedge salad was huge. She ordered a cup of clam chowder and it was the size of a bowl. My sister had the mussels with a side of fries. The mussels came in a nice broth with fresh tomatoes. I had grilled Bronzino perfectly grilled with nice crisp skin and grilled corn on the cob and grilled broccoli. My bother had the cod with a sauce and veggies. We loved that everything was fresh not canned. And lots of food. The key lime pie was homemade. We will be back.

I wanted a seafood boil so went to the closest place to me. The taste was not as I expected but it was still pretty yummy. I expected it to taste like a Louisiana style seafood boil (it didn't unfortunately). It took about 20 minutes for my food to arrive. I give this place 4 stars because the staff were really kind and there were lots of other food items that looked so delicious! I really want to come back someday and try the other menu options!

Clam chowder pot pie was good! Perfect crunch on the pie and chowder flavor was good. For the seafood boil, we got the all in sauce which included a mix of cajun and garlic butter at medium spice level. The boil was not bad, but the crawfish was a little on the dry side.

Seafood station is an incredible neighborhood joint with excellent service and fresh seafood! We ordered the boil and the steamed seafood combo for dinner. For drinks we got a bottle of wine, and for $35 it's a great deal! For both entrees the seafood was cooked perfectly and everything was very well seasoned. I love how they used chicken broth because it added more flavor and gave it more depth. The boil was delicious and I wanted to dip everything in it! The white wine brother for the steamers was light but still full of flavor. I will definitely make the trek back and get some apps and more seafood!

Solid competitor (if not better) of Sotto Mare Hands down one of the best seafood spots in San Francisco. It's a little farther out, which I think keeps it off most people's radar--but that just adds to the hidden gem feel. We made the drive out and it was so worth it. We were blown away by the food. We ordered the shrimp, mussels, and clams in a lemon-based soup dish, plus a half crab and crawfish broil with the mixed seasoning and spicy crab--it was TO DIE FOR. Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Honestly, it gives Sotto Mare a run for its money--and in my opinion, it was better. The ambiance was more relaxed, there was no wait, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. They even helped us taste through all the wines so we could pick our favorite bottle. We ended up loving the Pinot Grigio, the Chardonnay was also great, but the Sauvignon Blanc wasn't our favorite. If you're craving incredible seafood without the chaos or long lines, this place is a must. Can't wait to go back!

My sister and I came in for happy hour on Tuesday. Service was great and food was good. We really liked the calamari, crab cakes, raw oysters, and cioppini. We ordered the garlic fries too but it didn't have enough garlic or maybe they were using jar garlic, I tasted more Parmesan than anything else. But I will definitely come back for seafood!

The BEST CIOPPINO I've ever had! The tomato base is so flavorful with lots of mild spices, onions, shallots, and herbs. The seafood was cooked perfectly! I like my mussels and clams a little undercooked but the shrimp, fish and crab was absolutely perfect. Even high end restaurants overcook their seafood, especially the shrimp. The cioppino was excellent here. My husband tried the clam chowder which he said was the best he'd ever had as well! Not too thick and very flavorful. He rated his fish and chips a 10/10! Across the board this family owned restaurant blew us away. The owners took our order and served our food. They were very kind and attentive. The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean. This place is a hidden treasure. We might regret sharing but they deserve the attention. Highly recommend!

Solid 4.5 stars We arrived early in SF around 530 ish. Found parking a few blocks away but it wasn't so difficult to find parking. We were the first ones in the restaurant for dinner. We ordered a bowl of clam chowder. Enough for four of us. Cajun cod, fish and chips, mussels and ciopinno. The complementary bread went well with my clam chowder and the mussels. The cilantro chorizo add a bit of spice and sour the sauce was delightful. I tried a bite of the ciopinno with the cheese bread. The sauce was delicious dipping with the garlic bread. I think the best dishes out of the four was the mussels and ciopinno. But we will be back to try some additional dishes.

Go here if you like seafood! They cook with canola & olive oil. We got there early, 5p on a rainy spring day. The inside is small & cozy, like a neighborhood cafe - indeed several people stopped by for takeout who seemed to know the staff well. Only 10 or so small tables, and fairly close together. We were warmly greeted, my questions quickly answered. We had the clam chowder pot pie, fish & chips, and crab legs (more like a whole small crab!) in amazing broth (your choice of flavors). Everything was fresh & yummy. The clam chowder is quite rich (heavy cream?) with a puff pastry top. The bread is homemade or made nearby, yum. Our neighbors also really enjoyed their meal - we have to try the crab cakes next time. Sadly we had no room for dessert, so I never got ask what the creme brulee flavor is all about. I hope to be back sooner than later.

We came into the city for a job and searched for best clam chowder and theirs dis not disappoint! The flavor was on point. Although, it wasn't as rich and thick as some. My husband had the fish and chips. He said the breading was thick and less meat than he prefers. But everything tasted great! He also ordered steak tacos which had a large heap of avocado mash. Again, tasted great. The tortillas could've been fries crisp a bit more.

Stumbled upon this place by accident. Intended to try another place that turned out to be closed so decided to try this place as we walked past. I was so happy we tried this place! You can tell the seafood is super fresh and cooked to perfection! Came with complimentary bread that was great to soak up the stock/seafood juices. The service was next level! When my baby was crying he tried to comfort her with toys and played peekaboo. Can tell he wants to give the best experience to everyone. Highly recommend!

Parking is a challenge in Noe Valley so it took us a few minutes to find a spot on the street approx a block away. We were warmly greeted on arrival at the restaurant by Mariana - the charming hostess, & led to our table at the far end of the restaurant. The space is not too big so the tables are strategically arranged, making it a little narrow squeeze navigating between tables when people are seated. The decor is lovely & the place has a very pleasant ambiance. Our server Marley - a friendly young man who was very accommodating of all our requests. We were presented with complimentary warm delicious bread rolls & butter. We ordered the momos, which we had read all about on the Yelp reviews, & they certainly didn't disappoint. The sauce that accompanied the momos was so delectable, I had to request for another serving of bread to sop it all up! We also ordered the charred brussel sprouts & toasted grape salad and the gems of California beets salad - both were beautifully presented & combined a delicious blend of flavors. The food was amazing, the service attentive! We didn't want to have too big of a meal since we were heading to a show at the Herbst Theatre after dinner so we didn't order entrees or desserts. We plan to go back again soon. I would recommend trying out this neighborhood gem.

She had heard about this place from a client that she had worked with a couple weeks ago. The place had a really cool vibe to it; it's like you're stepping into a more intimate, Cracker Barrel. We were seated by the front of house pretty quickly. The space could hold quite a few people, there is a bar area and outside seating. We sat in the back by the kitchen. When we got there, we ordered a couple drinks and a lot of food. I had the okey-dokey artichokey and my partner had the respect your elders drink; both were strong and tasty. It went well with our appetizers of fried okra and fried calamari. I really enjoyed the jalapeño aïoli that came with the okra so much that I started dipping the calamari in it. The calamari coating on the outside was a lot heavier than what I was used to, but it was still really tasty. For our main entrées, I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens and my partner got the porch burger with fries. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry. It was juicy and I really liked putting their homemade hot sauce on the chicken and greens. The habanero hot sauce was really spicy, but I liked how sweet it was. My partner's burger was cooked perfectly and it was a big portion. I definitely recommend this place to someone who is bold enough to go on a date and still eat with their hands. Somehow, this was elevated southern food, which could be shown by the prices, but I think it's worth it once in a while.

What I enjoyed most about 3rd cousin was that it wasn't pretentious. I'm not necessarily a fine dining connoisseur but I have been to some nice places and this was the epitome of down to earth, friendly service. We had been out all day and weren't necessarily dressed up (just a black t shirt and jeans) but that did not negate us from receiving incredible service. The warm mood lighting against the restaurant's dark emerald walls were so visually appealing--absolutely the cherry on top after doing a sunset walk through Bernal Heights to whet our appetite. Seating was close but not cramped, and I really enjoyed the 70s music and bergamot rind soap in the restroom. These little details really took dinner to the next level. The food was incredible. I wanted to come here to try the Uni crème brûlée but we ordered too many other amazing dishes so it will have to wait until next time. Definitely get the asparagus soup. Definitely get the grilled octopus (the smashed fingerling potatoes included in the dish? To die for). And definitely get two desserts, at least. They do have an online waitlist, which is absolutely worth using before driving over. I can easily imagine busier days where the wait gets out of hand, and this will save you time and frustration. The space itself feels very cozy and familiar, almost like an at-home traditional diner, tucked right near the Castro. Nothing flashy or groundbreaking, but comfortable and very San Francisco brunch-core. Where this place really shines is the service. The wait staff was excellent and attentive throughout our meal. Water was refilled quickly, and it was always easy to get someone's attention without feeling ignored or rushed. That alone made the experience feel relaxed and pleasant. Food-wise, we ordered the bacon flight and pancakes. The bacon was fun to try, but overall the food landed in the "meh" category for me. Not bad, not amazing, just standard brunch fare that you can find at plenty of other spots around the Bay Area. Portions were solid, but for what you get, the prices felt a bit high. Personally, I would not go out of my way to return. There are several brunch places around the Bay that offer very similar menus and vibes under different names. That said, if the wait is short and you are willing to splurge a bit, it is not a bad experience by any means. Just do not expect anything particularly memorable on the food front.
