The BBQ sauce had a nice balance of sweetness and smokiness, and the chicken was good quality and well seasoned. They were generous with the toppings, especially the chicken and jalapeños. I'd definitely order this again next time with pineapple, because yes, pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza. Shrimp Scampi Pizza: This one really stood out. It was rich, flavorful, and very cheesy. While I would've liked a bit more shrimp and mushrooms, the overall taste and texture were really good. Between the two pizzas, this was my favorite. I tried both the regular ranch and the jalapeño ranch. The regular ranch was good, but the jalapeño ranch had much more flavor and was easily the better choice.

My husband discovered Wade's Landing by chance. He happened to be driving by and noticed the new…read morerestaurant. It was the valet service that caught his eye and peaked his interest that it might be a place we would enjoy. The inside of the restaurant is decorated simply, yet nicely, in warm, welcoming colors. The staff is primarily made up of respectful young people who have been trained well in customer service. They were a bit understaffed on a Sunday afternoon, which made service a little slow, but we were in no hurry and I completely know what it's like to work with not enough people, so I have no complaints about that, although there were several tables near us that weren't happy about the slow service. We got cocktails to start and they were good. I wanted the cocktail with the peanut butter tequila, but they ran out of the tequila, which was a little off putting, but The Grind and Day Drinking were suitable options. We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer and the presentation was lovely. I appreciated the smooth texture of the yolked stuffing, but there was absolutely no flavor to it. No seasoning at all. It did have a tasty bacon jam garnish, which helped, but I definitely wouldn't order them again. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The food looked tantalizing enough, the chicken was fried well with a good crispy batter and a moist center. But again, the flavor was lacking. A little seasoning would've made all the difference. The waffle was okay. My husband had the French toast, which was a little soggy, but he said it was good. We will give it a little time, let them work out the kinks, and we may try Wade's Landing again...maybe for Happy Hour or dinner.

He even tested the order I told them was old and overcooked, and asked for a freshly made replacement. Example: The french fries that looked as if they were deep fried three times over and even the replacement order had the same served in the replacement order. The first chicken was Luke warm at best and the second was hot but not a drop of grease drained. So I will consider the $10.81 a charitable donation as the food and service was absolute garbage.
