Had to come for national wing day! Was not my first choice but with many delays and over 40min minimum wait at the other "wing" place decided for this Wingstop as plan b. The wings I ordered well done, so of course I expected them to be crispy and well done, well they tasted not well done. Lemon pepper wings had way too much lemon pepper seasoning it was as eating or inhaling pepper straight from the bottle! Not to talk about my mild wings, barely had any sauce at first I thought they were plain, like come on don't be that stingy on the sauce. Service was really quick and all staff were very friendly tho. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Although I do not understand why there isn't a trash can for guests, it makes some tables look unattended and it's not the case. I was looking forward to my cheat meal of the month, but my experience was a huge disappointment. The wings were severely under-seasoned. In fact, I couldn't even tell which ones were Louisiana Rub and which were Parmesan Garlic. They were not well done--see the picture for reference. The fries were super soggy, which added to the disappointment. While I understand that the chicken is cooked in large batches, it tasted like the oil was old, leaving a funky aftertaste. I gave an extra star (2 stars total) because they were generous with the ranch dressing. Overall, my last few visits to Wingstop, including two earlier this year, have been very disappointing. I understand that they are a franchise, but the owners of these locations need to take action to restore the quality to what it was when they first opened several years ago. At this point, I feel like I should make my own cheat meals at home. Spending almost $30 for 10 wings, fries, and a drink felt like a waste of calories and money. Womp WOMP! First, I called to place my order; I was placed on hold for 7 minutes and they NEVER RETURNED TO MY CALL! My wife got me fries from here during lunch time since she went next door to Quiznos. The plaza where this place is in isn't that big and it's also not a safe area. There was a homeless person who looked mentally unstable and was carrying an empty glass bottle in the parking lot, talking to himself. So I would recommend if you want to come here, come when there daylight or come with someone. I got the large French fries and I saw the total, I was kind of shock because it's a little more here than the one near my house. So I looked on the wingstop app and this location is about a dollar more than the wingstop near my house so that was a downer. I have never been to a Wingstop that had such great service, yet here we are--leaving a 5-star review for the Wingstop on North Hills during LA's first tropical storm. Going in, I assumed we'd be greeted with a monotone ambience and (understandably) miserable workers; I'm glad to report that it wasn't the case here and Anthony was the cashier that made this experience different. Got a good greeting, was patient, got our order correct AND double-checked with us; he also gave us our drinks in case we wanted to sip on something while waiting for our order. It's the little things, am I right? While I was ordering, I'd like to mention that those waiting behind me were asked by ANOTHER employee if anyone was picking up! I'm sure this made some people's lives a little bit easier. We've all been in that position where we're just picking up and don't want to wait in the "order" line to speak to someone. Again, it's the little things. This is a little petty, but music fs made the vibe in this place seem a lot more easy and welcoming. I've been to a few Wingstop location throughout California and their North Hills location is my favorite. Parking is ample and very convenient. The interior is very clean and spacious. They offer bottled beer and a cool soda fountain machine. Few flat screen TV are on hand for checking out Dodgers and Laker games....oh ya World Cup Soccer too. As for the wings, traditional boneless is the way to go. Large, meaty and smothered in sauce. The food is not greasy at all. Price is fair for the amount of wings you get. They make these to order so be prepared to wait at least 20-25 minutes. I always go with 15 piece wing combo with choice of fries or vegetables and two drinks. My favorites are cajun, garlic parmesan and lemon pepper. I recently tried their latest spicy Korean which is pretty delicious and comparable to some of the good wing joints in K-Town. Flavor profile is sweet, spicy, juicy and crispy. Yes, their finger licking good! Fries are excellent as well thick cut and skin on well sprinkled with seasoning. Wing stop has always been my go-to wing place and I go quite often to different locations but what really drove me to write my review today was the excellent service provided by the staff! I felt welcomed and my wings came out fresh and delicious as well as my fries! Downside is they did not have napkins from what I saw, but it's okay cause we had some wipes of our own. Overall eating there I had a great experience being able to sit down with friends and share the laker promotion they have going on! It's a steal!!! Something to take advantage of! Before this I usually would order take out, but the wings would be somewhat dry and of course not as warm so I would definitely recommend ordering at the restaurant and eating there to get the best quality of wings! Glad that it had the seating indoors and it's really cool seeing that you can get a beer there as well! Never had an issue but for some reason I looked at the bottom of the ketchup packet and it was dated August 2023. Called the store to mention that they may be handing out expired ketchup. Employee told me the date on the bottom is the date it got made from the factory. He's also mentioned that the expiration date is only listed on the actual cardboard box.
