The service here was decent. The waitress was very nice, but she didn't check on us as much until she brought us the drinks, our food and to give us the check. It was very slow the day and time we had went and I'm not sure if my expectations were a little too high being it was just us two and one other person at the bar. The wings we ordered were crispy but I was surprised at the way they sauced their wings. Very different than most places I've been to (I think it would be best to order the wings plain and have the sauce on the side, if you like fully covered wings). The flavors we ordered were the Mojito Lime Pepper dry rub, the regular BBQ sauce, and the Mild sauce. The portions were small especially for the fries. The ambiance was laid back at the time, the music was at a moderate volume (I feel like it may get louder during peak hours) and the TVs and wall decorations keep you intrigued while during wait or while dining in. Food is always fresh and hot. The food selection is just right with lots of choices. They offer burgers and salads too. They also offer a wide selection wing sauce for your traditional or boneless wings. The drink selection is also pretty vast. The service is usually pretty quick and friendly from all locations I've visited in the past. Today was no exception in Avon. I didn't get the main menu photographed but i did remember to photograph my wings and fries before I dig in minus a few fries. I still have not gotten past the Appetizers since we are usually just watching part of a game and getting drinks. Much better service and food from our last visit! Staff was friendly, attentive and polite. We had the wings with the famous " the wall" sauce was phenomenal!!! My husband practically licked the sauce off the plate!! I had the Buffalo chicken wrap, definitely needed more chicken and more sauce, next time though. The French fries were hot but skimpy on portions. Also tried the jalapeño margaritas for $7 it's a decent size but not much kick and definitely not enough tequila. I've tried this place several times and it's the same thing. Wings and fries are cold. I can never get them hot or fresh. It took a while to get seated though (no hostess) not busy at all on a Sunday afternoon with no one else I front or behind us. There are wall outlets to charge by the booth along with a paper towel roll. None of the food was hot when it came out. The buffalo Mac and cheese was decent, the green bean fries were okay, and the wings were alright. In order by our favorite sauces we tried: Mahalo-Que, Asian Kick, Lime Pepper, and TNT. We would've liked the wings to have been crispy, but we didn't ask prior. The cherry bomb drink was not good at all and tasted like medicine. More than likely won't be back. read more

One would think that with the word 'WINGS' in their name that they would take more care with their reputation in this department. However, could not be further from the truth. The menu says 'made to order'. BS. These places (includes the other major wing chain) pre-cook their wings in batches. Then they drop in the oil before serving to reheat them. There is such a huge difference between a fresh fried wing and a reheated wing that I cannot believe that more people don't realize what's going on and the crap they are being fed. Especially when they charge what they do for these things!! So, true story awhile back. I go in and order wings... I know how they work so I asked for the manager and asked him to make sure they were made fresh. He assured me they would be. What follows seems like he was 'testing' my knowledge of wings and served me reheated wings again. Now I'm offended. When I called him out on it, he only then made sure my wings were fresh. I should NOT have to go through hoops, every time to get one of my favorite foods. The fact that this place and the other major chain do this, it makes it so hard to get good wings without the same crap EVERY time. Even when they aren't busy, which there is absolutely no reason for. I found another place in Avon that doesn't have quite the selection of sauces and rubs, but you don't even have to ask to make sure they are made fresh for me. They were so good! Hint: 33. Food ans portions could improve. Wings are dry with the sauce drizzled on. Changed the portion of the carrots and celery without telling the customer. The customer used to get several of each and now it's one of each. I don't like celery so I got 2 pieces of carrots and I didn't know they changed that until it arrived. Will not be ordering here again. If I knew the quality went down hill I wouldn't have came here in the first place. I got the 6 traditional wings. We wanted wings last night and decided to dine at Wings Etc. on Rockville Road/ Hwy 36 in Avon. A private parking lot provides ample parking spaces plus their easy to access off of Rockville with a stoplight at the entrance of the strip center. We've been here a few times and wanted to sit at a high-top bar table which is first come. Luckily, 2 tables were open so we grabbed a table. The bar and family area were both full and the bartender was crazy busy and busting her butt but handling like a pro. A lunch menu is available Monday through Friday. We ordered Spicy Pickles for an appetizer and they came out hot with an acceptable amount of spicy breading. They disappeared quickly. For dinner, we ordered 16 wings with 8 in Asian Kick sauce and 8 with Mango Haberno sauce. My husband also added a bowl of chili to the order.The sauces were so flavorful and hard to pick which we enjoyed more. The Mango Haberno was more of a dry rub and spicy whereas the Asisan Kick sauce was wet, spicy and sweet. Both were excellent and I'd order again. Know there are 22 signature sauces from mild to extra hot to select from if you order wings. His small bowl of chili was tasty topped with diced onions and not a surprise since he orders the Home Wrecker Hot Dog often. This sports bar has a menu for most to find a favorite from several great appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, salads, wings (traditional or boneless), quesadillas and a Homewrecker Monster Hot Dog. So many choices to select from while grabbing a quick bite or hanging out watching a game on one of the many HGTV's. Bring a few friends and enjoy the 100 oz "Fuel Tanker" tableside full of your favorite brew while watching a game. There's a sizeable list of bottled and draft beers, including local craft favorites plus a full bar for those wanting cocktails. I had never been to a wings etc. before I have wanted to try it though I love buffalo wings. But we were actually heading for some Chicago beef sandwich's but I made a wrong turn. So we decided just to try it. And I sure am glad we did. The fried mushrooms we had as a appetizer were awesome. I got boneless buffalo wings and garlic Parmesan wings they were both out of this world. The interior of restaurant was clean it was all well designed and they had plenty of tv's. Bathroom was clean. Are waitress was one of the best we ever had I wish I had her name so I could mention her. They have good parking. But is in kind of a bad location. It was slow for a Sunday afternoon though. I hope people start to show it the love it deserves so it can stay open. Two other restaurants have closed in this location. Hopefully this won't be their fate. read more

10/10 from start to finish. I honestly don't know why I've lived in Avon for this long and haven't tried it. I couldn't decide between 2 sauces on my wings, so I blind-trusted my new server to surprise me. The kitchen manager comes out with a sample wing of each, simply because she wanted me to be satisfied with my decision! That's just wonderful service that we simply lack these days. I'm getting frustrated with the other big chain competitor..... food and service is barely there anymore. But tonight, I had the fattest, crispy on the outside, juicy/hot on the inside wings with that yummy Say It Ain't Tso sauce!!! Best wing I've had in the longest time from a restaurant! Never again! The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the food was ok. Service and how things were handled were disheartening. It's really hard to give a restaurant a bad review during these times ESPECIALLY when you are trying to support those in the service industry. Not sure if some restaurants understand or appreciate the effort but it's a stretch for us as consumers to eat out when our pockets are hit as well. I ordered 3 dinners for my family and it took them over an hour to complete the order. It was suppose to be done and delivered at 7:10 pm. They had Grub Hub waiting outside for over 40 mins as orders were going out before mine was ever thought of. My Grub Hub driver (Julie) and myself were texting each other back and forth trying to figure out what the hold up was. When I called, they asked me to repeat my name again and order?... clearly they didn't have it ready. I placed my order on the app so I had to quickly go through what I had originally ordered. Everything had already processed and went through. When I called back (after the driver was still waiting and inquiring as well) I asked to speak to a manager. Morgan, the manager, answered and I asked about my order and she said it was on its way out. No apology, no explanation, not even a thank you. I hung up the phone after sharing with her that I didn't understand why I couldn't even get apology for the inconvenience. I'm all about patronizing and sacrificing some of my hard earned money to support local business... my reviews reflect that. During this time restaurants need to be mindful that we all are going through. If I choose to patronize you at the very least the driver and your customers deserve an apology or explanation. Mistakes happen but when you're treated this way and told nothing as to why your establishment dropped the ball it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. This is not the first time I've had their food but this will probably be the last especially if it's being delivered. Fries were good, wings were good but the sauces were what enjoyed the most. My family went to Wings Etc. In Valparasio, IN for dinner. Worst experience there by far. We havent been there in 2+ years and decided to give it a try again. Started off with waiting for a table for 20 minutes and two other groups being seated before us (same amont of people waiting in their group as well). Then it took 10 minutes after we were seated until a waitress came to take our drink order. After we got our drinks we waited, patiently, for another 10 minutes before we had to flag down our waitress to tell her we were ready to order. Once we received our food it was terrible! The sauce on our wings wasnt even on the wings it was all over the plate. We received 2 pieces of celery and a container of what appeared to be just mayo instead of blue cheese. Because we were hungry we ate the food and then, once again, had to flag down our server to get the check. I would understand more if the place was busy but it was not. Maybe 4 other tables besides ours at best. Worst experience at this place and will not be going back. Service was horrible along with the food. Nice little bar/restaurant for Avon. I've been there with a group of 20 and they're totally accommodating as well as decent service with just a 3-top at a booth. It's a little dark inside as the sun goes down in the evening, makes it hard to read the menu/see things in general. When at Wings Etc, you need to eat the wings. Totally delicious and the serving sizes are great! I believe them to be better than Bdubs [gasp]! I will say though, the sides that come with the wings are quite paltry. This place is fantastic for wings with original sauces! On Thursdays they have Schooners, gigantic glasses of beer, for a discount. They always have some sort of game going in so it's a great place to hunker down and watch a game. Go to Wings etc . In Plainfield. The Avon location has trouble managing the games on the TV's and doesn't seem to know what going on, in a SPORTS BAR. Also, if you want a cold frosty beer, they no longer freeze their mugs at this location and the temperature of the beer is balmy at best . So I have lived near this place since they opened way back in the day and never actually went in and tried it until today. The reason I have never gone was because I heard it wasn't worth it. For starters, they exaggerate every item on the menu as being bigger and better than what it is. Everything is quite average. I ordered 10 traditional wings that came out somewhat warm. They're the only reason I'm not giving them 1 star, because they were crispy and cooked well. The service is not very good as everybody seems way too laid back. The prices are too high for what you get. I'm genuinely surprised that they've stayed afloat for so long! You will have a better experience at BWW's down the street! read more
