I can handle the smoke but as a truck driver, I would never recommend this place to other truck drivers. Most of us are alone all day every day. We go to places like these to make a lady friend because we don't want a lot lizard. We tend to have a sense when people talk about the guy that sleeps in his truck. Choose another bar if you actually want to sing on karaoke night. Karaoke night usually allows patrons to sing. However, the DJ played way too much music in between the waiting singers and constantly disappeared. I was only able to sing 1 song per hour. We've been here several times and we haven't been disappointed. Know upfront they allow smoking. It's been tolerable but we've never been here when it's super busy. The bartender and waitresses have always been great. The food is above average bar food and coveres the basics from salads, wraps, burgers and sandwiches. There are daily drinks specials and a good spot for cheap drinks. Several entertainment options during the week from D.J, dart leagues, karaoke and free pool all day Wednesday. Lot of locals enjoying music, pool, sport events and lunch today. Nice pub atmosphere with all the bar amenities. They have a nice large game area with 6 pool tables and 4 dart boards separated by a half wall from the dining area. The bar is large and usually full of patrons. I had thought I liked this place on occasion. But this turned me off for good... Tues wing night. $1 off normal price of $7.99. Bartender running around obviously a little more patrons than could handle. Nice greeting from her. Nice in general for the brief blow by. Had to go and find a napkin for my hands from the orange served on Blue Moon. ( this is a pet peeve of mine) ordered garlic buffalo wings. WAY garlic ( I LOVE GARLIC!) and not enough buffalo. VERY dry drummies and even some wings dry. Except larger ones. Bartend never came to ask how they were. Even after she took my plate with close to half on plate untouched. Never asked. Had to tell her myself. Said Im not looking for refund. They were just awful. She asked if another beer. No bill please. Gave me a total without a receipt or breakdown of charges. Gave my card. Brought back the bill in total for me to sign. No breakdown. Asked for breakdown. ( Now the bad/good stuff) A .50 cent charge. (Its the principle of it!) Asked. Said for the blue cheese. Location - (2/5) : Hidden off of 36, you have to be looking for this place. Once you find it, the surrounding area doesn't give off the most positive vibe. Service - (3/5) : The last time I came in for lunch there was only 4 other tables in the entire bar. It took 35 minutes just to check out. The bartender was on the phone the entire time and also eating her lunch. However, the time before that I came in on a Friday night to watch a football game and that server was very hospitable. Maybe just catch them while they're busy?? Food/Drink - (3.5/5) : Typical bar food but the pizza is out of this world. I've honestly never had a bad experience with the food. If y'all are going to "cut" people off before elven based on how many drinks we ordered before 11 and being here since 6 , plus the server was slow and we had to keep coming to her. We were ordering drinks for other people and it's my birthday. We ordered an Uber for a reason. TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. Y'all suck. My birthday is ruined because they want to cut us off because of "how many drinks we bought." I'm just shocked af! Also we had a big group!! Like wtf??? Worst place ever now!!! Only been here twice but enjoyed ourselves very much both times and we didn't break the bank account. The second time the bartender even recognized my husband and I and recalled details about where we are from and what like. He food was very good and we never had to ask for another drink even the day we went and it was busy (the first time!) it's Smokey yes but it wasn't as bad as I thought at all. This is the place to go if your looking for cheap drinks. Dollar pints on Fridays is the best deal around. It's a solid place to shoot some pool. I usually just stop in for a few drinks after work. I've had the food and it is the basic fried bar food that they buy from a supplier frozen. There are always a ton of people there playing pull tabs like it's their job. Last night someone I know who was already drunk drove up to legends in a car that was not his, without a license, with the intent to get more drunk & drive that way. I called up to the bar to inform the bartender of the situation, which I made VERY CLEAR & asked that he not be served more alcohol. I am about a 40/50 minute drive away from the bar & said person had just arrived when I made contact with the bartender. When I got there he was standing at the bar & ordering a drink. I stood behind him & as she set his next drink down (Wednesday night with like 5 people it was VERY clear who he was) so looked up at me & said "hi" & when she saw my demeanor her face instantly shifted. I asked "are you still serving him alcohol?!?!?" & she went sheet white & said "well this is his last drink & then he's closing out his tab". I took said drink & threw it in the trash as she walked away to hide. I proceeded to scold said person & force them out of the bar so I could ensure that they made it home safely. All I want to say is that I understand you're a bar, I understand that you need to make money. But when someone is calling up to the bar letting you know that someone is DRUNK with the intent to DRIVE you should NOT be serving them more alcohol. Absolutely ridiculous & a horrible way to run a business, even if you are a bar. That's not only putting their life in danger, but the lives of others, & the liability of both that bartender & the bar she's working at. I am going to personally speak with the owner about this as soon as possible because these are extremely dangerous & shameful practices. read more

There are only two official "bars" in Avon, so you can't really be too picky. I went here on a Thursday for karaoke and had a great time. I was amazed by the dj and her selection of music to sing. She also stayed later than her scheduled time and played some great music videos while she was tearing down to keep everyone partying! The place is pretty smokey, kind of like Sidelines, but I think its just because you get used to so many places that don't allow smoking, so its a shock to the system. They have great drink specials and plenty of room to dance or just shoot pool. Great local spot and a nice alternative when you don't want to drive downtown or to B Rip. read more

The drinks and drink prices are amazing and worth it if you're just going to drink. The food is ok. But, tonight we ordered wings and they KNOWINGLY served us rancid meat. We knew something about it was wrong and sent it back to a server that we flagged down because our server was no where to be found, and she embarrassingly came back and told us the kitchen KNEW it was bad, and had accidentally served us the wrong chicken. WHAT??? The service tonight was also pretty terrible. Our actual server came to our table only twice while we were there, but another server came to our table multiple times. I've been to Legends Pub & Grill once and it will probably be my last visit. As other's have stated before me, the amount of smoke in the air just permeates your clothes (would've given 4 stars if not for the smoke). If I was a smoker, this would definitely be my go-to bar in Avon (it also helps that I live 5 minutes from there). My wife and I went on a Friday and couldn't believe the $1 draft beers. Since moving to the area last June, it has been very difficult to find a cheap drink in an area we feel comfortable going. I can't comment on the food as we were there just to have a few cold drinks. Everything was very clean and the wait staff was super friendly. I enjoyed the setup of the place with the large rectangular bar and all the pool tables along the one wall. Plus there are a ton of large TVs so no matter where you are sitting you can catch whatever game is on that night. Like I mentioned before, it is just personal preference for me that I won't be going back. If the smoke thing doesn't bother you, then definitely check the place out. read more

This place just dropped drastically after they fired their best bartender and hired ones with shifty attitude. Ive been going there for over a year and I've always been very nice to the staff. Always tip great and everything. Then this new bartender comes up and asks me for two forms of id when I was checked at the door. I go to the counter and I have a beer and then I have a coke. I payed 5 dollars for a beer and a coke on dollar beer night. So I gave her two dollars and walked the hell out. Never have I been charged at any bar for a coke.
