This place is so cool. An unexpected spot filled with great food and friendly people. I ordered a beer and loaded waffle fries and they were so good! We will definitely be back!

What a great spot for the Danville community! It's a really laid back and welcoming little pub with a great selection of local craft beer and spirits. My husband and I visited around 6PM on a Saturday night and the place quickly filled up. Their signature cocktail looks to be some kind of smoked drink with a really cool presentation. There is also a limited food menu that we didn't try this time. But we will definitely be back again. Danville is lucky to have such a charming little bar in its downtown area.

Stumbled upon this place after having dinner next door, had no idea it existed! This is definitely a hidden gem!! Went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, we got the last two spots at the bar. The bartender was friendly, on it, and made great drinks! He was the only worker too, and for the place to be full, he was awesome with service. The drinks were great and the vibe was amazing! If we lived closer, we would most likely be regulars here. We definitely will be back and suggest you check it out too!

I highly recommend the french fries dipped in ranch it's a must!!! husband had the tenderloin. There are a dozen chairs at their long bar. Service was surprisingly good considering there was only one employee working the bar and the dining room. A couple came in and picked up nine carry out lunches plus there was a group of eight finishing up. The kitchen staff was fast. My food, and everyone else's, came right out. I ordered the Cheesesteak without the mushrooms and the Tater Tots. The sandwich came with Queso cheese and carmelized onions. It tasted superb. It had a really good flavor with those ingredients. The tater tots were very unusual. They were shaped in letters, such as T, S and L. They reminded me of Legos with their square shapes. They tasted great! I also ordered the funnel cake with extra sugar and no drizzle to go. This was my first time here and the primary reason for stopping in was to try their funnel cake. I had checked them out on Yelp ahead of time and knew they had funnel cake. I was able to find a street parking spot in front to the business next door during the lunch hour. Overall a good experience and I would like to come back and reorder that great cheesesteak sandwich.

The Whisk has been on our road trip list for awhile, and we finally went with some friends. Greencastle has never been high on my priority list of places to visit, but I'd heard rumors about "The Whisk" being a great place to visit for whisky lovers like myself. And the rumors were true! Walking up to The Whisk...well, that doesn't happen. You have to walk down some stairs that are nondescript, giving the entrance a very old fashioned speakeasy vibe. I immediately fell in love. It feels like a secret club that I'm a part of! The decor is big city speakeasy vibe and lets you know immediately that regardless of shoe you are, you're welcome at the Whisk (see some of the pictures of the decor). We went on a Friday because they have a dinner menu only on Fridays and it changes every week. Tosh and her husband, Joel, are the co-owners and curators of all the food and cocktails. Although there are always small plates on the menu, the full menu complete with dessert was exactly what we wanted. The presentation and flavors of the dinner and drinks felt like being in Chicago or New York, not Greencastle! It was a delightful anachronistic experience. The blackened catfish and The Ghost whisky cocktail were some of the best things I've ingested in a long time. I can't wait to go back!

Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.

This location is inside of Pinheads in Brownsburg which is fairly new to this city. Pinheads is family friendly, but this area is for 21 and over. They have a huge parking lot, but it was busy during this time so parking was challenging. Thankfully, I was able to find a spot fairly close to the entrance, but another girl said she had to make a spot lol. The speakeasy was a little tricky to find. My friends that had been there said it's upstairs to the left. When I entered, I saw stairs, headed up and immediately noticed a kids birthday party. I almost walked through their party thinking the speakeasy was behind them, but I turned around and walked in another door and saw my friends. The upstairs has some bowling lanes as well, suited for a more private party. My friends told me there was another doorway that's private to enter in the speakeasy that I must have missed. The first thing I noticed was that the space was very quaint, intimate and small, the vibe was dim and chill like a traditional speakeasy. I loved it. They had a beautiful bar with a led/tv screen that changed pictures periodically and comfy seating. Our table was mixed booth and chairs, I'm a booth type of girl and it was comfy. Several servers were working this area and they all tended to us, as we had the space to ourselves for a little while as the other reservations weren't coming for another hour which was nice, felt chic and specialized. For drinks, I ordered the blackberry smash which was delicious and a spiced orange old fashion which was good, like a traditional old fashion with a twist. My drinks were well flavored and strong, just how I like them. Some drinks that my friends ordered were the croquett, the brandt, the murmaider, expresso martini, and Bloody Mary. All very tasty! We ordered food for the table and just shared amongst us: Mamasaki bone-in wings were delicious Sweet and spicy brussel sprouts were savory Margarita pizza was phenomenal Restrooms are available upstairs with 3 stalls, music playing in the background creates a lovely vibe. It was pretty clean and I enjoyed the body mirror. Pricing is fair for the quality. I would definitely come back here.

We both ended up ordering the breaded tenderloin that was on the lunch special menu. Tenderloin (lettuce, tomato, pickles) came with fries. The sandwich was pretty good especially for the lunch special pricing. Not a huge tenderloin but tasty and reasonable meat to breading ratio. The fries were good enough. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 was just the slow service. Time to order was slow, especially given what seemed to be a very low number of diners at the time. I think we got our food faster than it took to order. Looked like a fun place, with gaming and bowling available. Just don't go for a quick meal.
