I am a HUGE wing fan (anything with buffalo sauce is okay in my book), so I've been meaning to try this place for awhile. First let me say that this place is slightly intimidating. There are so many sauce options and it can take awhile to decide what you want. If you haven't been here before I would recommend asking for suggestions from your server (the menu isn't very descriptive and is slightly confusing). Ours was quite helpful. We ordered two full orders of wings (which is 10 wings per order). When you order ten wings you can get them tossed in two different sauces (thus we got four different sauces). We ordered regular buffalo (and specified hot), teriyaki (and requested medium), chipotle lime buffalo (regular), and jalapeño honey bbq (also regular). I really don't know how their spice works. It was slightly confusing, but I'm pretty sure if you just order something without specifying a heat, it will come out regular (not really spicy). However, you can specify medium, hot, or purgatory. We also got an order of buffalo chips (mixed). First, the wings themselves. Wing Nutz bakes their wings. I truthfully don't really have a preference. I really enjoy fried wings, but I also really like baked wings too. Obviously baked wings are going to be far less calories and fat, so if they are awesome...I would prefer them. Wing Nutz clearly uses REALLY good meat. It was so easy to pick off all the chicken from the bone without feeling like a zombie. You know, when you eat chicken that has a ton of veins and you really have to work at it. Their wings were not only large, they also had a ton of meat on them without all the yucky veins. My dream come true. The menu didn't specify that the chipotle lime sauce was a buffalo sauce so we were kinda surprised when they came out that way (my husband, unlike me, doesn't love buffalo sauce). However, the lime flavor is really good mixed with the buffalo sauce and my husband ended up enjoying them. Like I said I love anything buffalo, so I thought they were very good. My husband loves bbq wings, and the jalapeño honey bbq wings had an excellent sweet and spicy taste. I personally would have upped the heat on this one to medium. The teriyaki was a typical teriyaki sauce. I liked that it was nice and thick. I am also glad that I got it in a medium heat. I don't know if I have ever had a spicy teriyaki, but I really enjoyed it. The regular buffalo (hot) was excellent. I should say that the first two wings of this flavor that I ate, I was thinking...maybe next time I will try purgatory. However, the other wings were MUCH spicier (almost painful....and I have a very high threshold for heat). I would stick with the hot. No need to go to purgatory...unless just to say you did. Each of the ten wings was served with ranch or bleu cheese. We both ordered ranch (we don't enjoy bleu cheese). The ranch was just okay...definitely not amazing. They also came with celery, which I didn't feel was very fresh. Most people probably don't care about the celery and see it as a garnish, but I love celery so I was a bit bummed. The buffalo chips are like their version of baked french fries. They are soft like fries, but flat and round like chips. You can order them regular, buffalo, or mixed. Since we didn't know what would be better we got mixed. They were...interesting. I really didn't like the regular ones, but the buffalo ones were good. I was envisioning the buffalo to be regular ones with wet buffalo sauce on them, but they were just like seasoned french fries. My husband enjoyed both varieties. Wing Nutz was a bit pricey. Now, maybe I am being unfair because ALL wings are expensive. But I just can't see myself going that often because of the price. Ten wings is $9.99 and a side (like a side salad or buffalo chips) is $2.99. Plus drinks if you get them (I stick with water), and tip because this is a full service restaurant and bar. The price would be more reasonable, I suppose, if you got it to-go (which I probably will in the future). Overall, Wing Nutz was an excellent experience. I had an order of 10 Traditional wings and an order of 10 Chipotle BBQ wings and both were awesome,and the on draft hefeweizen, which was also awesome. The atmosphere was also cool, bar style setup with large LCD TVs playing either the Olympics or ESPN throughout the restaurant and a few games on one side. Our waitress (forgot name sorry) was awesome, answered all of the questions we had and got me setup with their Royalty rewards when I said I would be back, which also saved us 5% on the meal. The royalty rewards are awesome. From their menu: "Royalty Rewards members earn their own personalized beer mug and special discounts on their favorite food and beverages." My first visit was to watch a 49ers playoff game, and it certainly will be my last. The place was extremely small. The aura of the place was NOT somewhere fitting of a place you'd want to watch a football game while chilling with friends. I didn't feel like I had a ton of choices (except for sauce) on the menu, and the supposedly amazing baked wings tasted like regular chicken with miniscule amounts of sauce. It was so bad that I got sick before halftime, and unfortunately, THERE'S ONLY ONE FREAKING TOILET IN TGE MEN'S BATHROOM! Needless to say, I won't be coming here again. This is our favorite wing place and I question the poor reviews. They bake all there chicken wings which is a huge plus because there not greasy. There buffalo Chips are perfect and the crispy edges make them great. My favorite wing "sauce" is the Cajun twist dry rub. So yea. Wingnutz. I really want to give this place a higher rating. I actually go here a lot, mostly because my boyfriend and friends really like it, but I'm kinda bummed out every time. A good majority of the time, the service is reeealllly bad. Occasionally you'll get the semi-attentive server but more times than not, the service leaves something to be desired. Their wings are baked, which is nice if you're looking for a kiiiiindof healthy alternative to your usual fried wings but douse them in sauce and you've destroyed all hopes of a low calorie meal. Truly the best things about this place, in my opinion, is the beer and the mixed buffalo chips. A side note, boyfriend and I went on a Sunday to watch part of a specific football game. I am not a big wing fan, I don't eat wings on a bone. That being said, I do love boneless wings. The wings here are baked not fried, which is ok if they were on par with fried wings. I got the boneless in Carolina BBQ sauce, the sauce was good the wings were ok and a little on the dry side. The exceptions here: the chips are thick cut and the plain ones taste like they have been grilled, not sure how they pulled that off but they were delicious. These are some of the best wings you can get in Utah. I've been to Buffalo, NY multiple times in search for the best wings. They have a decent selection of beers and awesome variety of sauces. The other reviewers are are ignorant. Don't listen to them. Honestly they need to improve their actual buffalo flavored sauce but that's really my only complaint. The wings here aren't fried, which is different and something I actually really like. The sauces are good and it's nice to see that their hot sauces still has flavor as opposed to places that go for the burn and nothing else. We enjoy the Parmesan curry, jalapeno honey BBQ (though pretty sweet), lemon hotties and the Jamaican jerk. Their buffalo chips are great and their dipping sauces are good (that can make or break the meal IMO). The service can be iffy and I'm not a fan of the live music as it is a tiny place and makes it too loud. Big waste of money. $30! First of all you have to call them to get prices because there is none on line and you can't order online either. I called to get some prices and I asked if he was busy. The only reason why I'm giving us three stars instead of 2 is because the service was really good. The lady who served us was so efficient and given how busy it was, I was impressed with her care. But the food was such a disappointment. The burger I received was a thin little sliver of dried out, previously frozen meat. The chicken was overly salted. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. First, the food is unbelievably disgusting. I ordered the lemon pepper and Cajun dust wings and both were burnt and offered little to no flavor. The server began to answer a couple questions about the menu and by the third question, her head was completely flat on the bar like she was going to sleep. One server was crying behind the bar while another server allowed a customer to come hang out behind the bar and talk about how another server has mental issues and heroin problems. The customer allowed to just hang out behind the bar was not wearing a mask. This is not the only non employee allowed behind the bar area without a mask on. The servers were hugging customers and allowing multiple people behind the bar near the kitchen area without masks on. That was stupid seeing as how we are in a pandemic. Workers seemed to think they were just hanging out at home and not at work. Cooks did not wear masks cooking the food. How the hell is this place not shut down right now? I thought there were policies in place right now to avoid this type of selfish and childish behavior. Food was gross and left us feeling sick for hours after. I was really disappointed with my recent visit here. The menu showed lots of flavor/sauce options which is definitely a plus. We ordered the deal with 20 wings and were able to pick two sauces for each half. We selected the traditional and southern lemon hotties, but it didn't seem to matter since they practically tasted the same. There was not much sauce on any of the wings so it tasted just like plain baked wings. The sauces we chose were also suppose to be "hot" but since there was no sauce, we didn't get any hot stuff. Really, really disappointing. On top of that, I didn't appreciate being able to see the cook eating in the kitchen right before he put some orders in. I would like to think he washed his hands and that the gloves he wore helped, but it was still not something I wanted to see. And then I saw him come out to the front wearing his gloves and touching other things. This place has a lot going for it. The bar is great. Big windows, lots of TV's playing whatever big game is going on, clean and comfortable. Excellent selection of cold beer. The food really isn't as bad as many people say. I love wings, one of my favorite foods. These guys don't fry their wings, instead they bake them. I definitely prefer fried wings as most people do, you just cant get them crispy enough when you bake them. The sauce choices are great. Unfortunately, they cant do traditional buffalo right, it's mild and damn near bland. All the other sauces I tried were great, the variety really is nice. All in all the wings are sub par (read update below for howto get excellent wings here), but definitely not bad and shouldn't be passed up just because they aren't fried. Update: This place has really stepped up their service, the gals working the bar are very friendly, quick, and never leave my glass empty. Bravo. I've also figured out that if you order the wings "naked" they taste exactly as if they were fried. Crispy and fantastic, plus you can get 3 different sauces.
