So to find out for sure, I placed a to-go order from Chilis (same place you pickup it's just wings) and brought the wings with me so I could ask. The girl who brought my food out said she had never looked at the wings. She sent out a manager who said the smoked wings do indeed look like the regular ones... but they get smoked before they are fried. He goes on to shrug and say they probably weren't smoked enough if I couldn't taste it because they manually get put in a smoker. Okay... I guess this is the only thing they do manually but you basically just said an employee must have made it wrong. ... and walk away? That doesn't seem right. I ordered smoked wings because I wanted to try smoked wings. They had no sauce so there's nothing that would have hidden the Smokey flavor.. no hint of smoke.
