Service was quick, seated at the bar. Narrowed it down to ribs, chicken club or burger and went with chicken club after recommendation from bartender. Very good portion, but not as "hitting" as I expected. I held off on the guac but wish the sandwich would've had more of the ranch, pickles and I could've settled for a smaller chicken patty and extra piece of bacon. Fries were good but I added street corn and wasn't impressed. It was in a bowl, not on the Cobb and just had the cheese sprinkled on top. Went with an old fashion with house bourbon (4 roses) it was decent. Could've used a bit more cherry and syrup.

This place is a new go to when I am traveling in town. The service is extremely helpful and they give the best food recommendations due to such a large selection on the menu. The place has live music on the weekends. The chips and salsa were great! The seasoning on the chips are certainly addicting. Jarvis recommended that I get a chicken club and he didn't not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and had a great breading. The pickles on it were chefs kiss. The beverage selection was great and the local selection is tasteful. Price was very reasonable. If you're in the area check them out and ask for Jarvis. His service and recommendations will make you want to come again.

Our server LaLayla was a wonderful server. The food was amazing. I had the chicken fried chicken. The other people in our party had ribs and salmon. Everyone said their food was delicious. They have a stage where people were setting up to play music. They also have a wax museum upstairs that our server took us up to. We had a great time. I highly recommend.

Stopped in for lunch when passing through. Got seated right away. Waiter was attentive. Drinks come in very large mason jars. It's an old building in downtown that's kinda industrial looking inside. Nice music playing that's not overly loud. There's a stage in the back corner, probably live singing at night. They service chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned and taste good. Salsa is like a mild picante brand salsa. We got the queso which was super thin and runny. Kinda like a velveeta with rotel in it. My husband got shrimp and grits which he said tasted amazing. It came with a roll and butter. I got the habenero pasta with chicken. The chicken had decent flavor. The pasta was ok. Also came with a roll and butter. Loved the vibe and rate the food as good.

Beautiful industrial looking space that has been transformed into a rustic restaurant with a center stage. I really enjoyed the ambiance, friendly staff and tasty food starting with chips and salsa. I can't wait to come back for more tasty food and a live show!

Stayed in the area over night. There are a few good and drink options in the area. We choose Iron Horse. I'm glad we did. The drinks were good. The food was a step up from typical bar food. The waiters were pretty cool. The vibe is very bar - loud and fun!

The building is a repurposed industrial building. Meticulously well done renovation. Parking was not too bad. Server is kind and attentive. Free and tasty chips and salsa AS SOON as we sat down. My wife ordered a Caesar salad 6/10, my son got mini corn dogs 7/10, and I got the burger 7/10. Very clean dining room and bathroom. I would recommend this place. I never give any place a 5 star rating, but this spot made me reconsider.

We enjoyed our dinner and found everything to be delicious! This is really a great place to experience Mississippi food and music. So many food options and holiday drink concoctions ! We kept it traditional and ordered bloody Mary's, spicy and salty with four large olives! I had the Tres Carnes(wings, ribs, shrimp) and a sweet potato! The bbq ribs were my favorite, Mississippi style, smoky and Caramelized sauce.

Found this place while in town visiting. It's in a very cool building. The staff was very welcoming from the hostess to our waitress. Another waitress even checked on us to see if we were ok. We were told that they do live music starting on Thursdays which we missed but I wouldn't mind coming back. The complimentary tortilla chips were seasoned. I never had any like these but I couldn't stop eating them. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. I ordered lemonade and water not realizing how large the glasses were. I could've just had one drink. I really enjoyed the food and wouldn't mind returning.

I came for a large party birthday dinner. The private dining area was very quaint and just enough space for us to be secluded from the main dining but large enough for us to mingle and enjoy our dinner. Even with it being a large party, the food came out quick, hot and delicious. I ordered the habanero shrimp pasta with extra sauce. The servers were fun loving and organized. People arrived at different times and they were still able to keep up with the orders and food placement. I have been here several times and one thing I love is they change the menu every six months; so you never get exhausted from the same menu. Definitely recommend for large party dinners.

Catfish! The macaroni was good, but the beans were way too greasy/oily.

Fantastic experience today! I came for lunch with my best friend, and we both enjoyed it so much. Our server, Tawanta, was THE BEST! She was very friendly, attentive, and fun to talk to! :) I got the catfish and loved it, and my friend got the porkchop lunch special. She liked hers too! We finished it off with the "Chef Pierre's Dessert Trio". It had a small portion of 3 of their best desserts: praline cheesecake, brownie, and bread pudding. Loved it all and can't wait to come back!

Sunday brunch is usually a hit here. Made to order omelets, waffle bar and a small breakfast buffet with grits, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. However, today, I decided to order off the menu. Ordered the sampler platter, which came with 3 soul train wings, one southwestern eggroll, fried broccoli and a bbq chicken quesadilla. The fried broccoli was delicious, as long as it's hot. Once it gets cold, it's not as good. The wings are usually good but they were a little too spicy today. The eggroll was tough, like it had been refried or something. Flavor was good but just too tough. The quesadilla would have been good if it had been hot. I started eating it last so that's no fault of the restaurant. The chips and salsa every table gets is the best! That homemade salsa is the best in Jackson. Service was good. We got here before the crowd did so we didn't have a wait for a table. Band was setting up and by the time he was ready to play, we had placed our order and could enjoy the music. Only thing I wish is they would add a patio so outside seating is available.

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

There is a patio where dogs are allowed.

    Do I need reservations?

    No you don't.

Is this bar good for country line dancing?

I'm not sure but would doubt it. Everything inside is based around Blues, not Country. I could be wrong though. Call and ask! :)

What time does the live music start?

We’ve been there during lunch and someone was playing music. Last time was on a Sunday.

I've grown to accept it, but I think it's a damn shame because I bet tons of performers would love a chance to play at Duling Hall-- one of the coolest venues you can check out in the Southeast. Located inside an old, converted elementary school, Duling Hall is host to several different businesses, including the most popular concert venue in town. Also inside Duling, you'll find Saltine and Babalu (AMAZING food, you can check out my reviews of them!) and my favorite salon in town, Smoak. The concert venue is a really, really neat atmosphere. It's split into two sections, with one being a bit higher up than the other. The lower level is usually standing room during big concerts, while the upper area will often have tables and chairs. The upper area is where the bar is too! During some shows I've seen here, like the burlesque shows that come through occasionally. The stage is relatively low to the ground, so during shows like that, it's easy for the performers to interact with the audience which is super fun. As far as showmanship and technicalities, Duling does an amaaazing job with the concerts. The lights are always on point. The acoustics are fantastic. It's a very spacious venue with crazy high ceilings and some huge windows, so you won't feel too claustrophobic. Ardenland, a local entertainment company, handles all the bookings for Duling and they get some really high-quality, awesome acts here. Even if you've never heard of who's playing, it's always a fun time to head down to Duling and listen to some live music. The best part is that after the show, you're within super-close walking distance of some of Fondren's best bars (The Apothecary, Fondren Public, Caet) so the night can keep going and you can keep jamming!
