Passing thru Mississippi, my wife and I stopped at this Chili's in Jackson for a quick lunch. I really can't understand some of the low scores this location has received, as our experience was a very good one. The restaurant was neat and clean and our server, Jamie, was welcoming, attentive and took excellent care of us. Lots of good items appeared on their (recently expanded?) menu and we enjoyed a triple dipper appetizer and Santa Fe Salad, with iced tea. Decided to go to this chilis during a stay next door at spark by Hilton! We were seated as soon as we walked in. It didn't take our server long to come over and take our drink order. Once the drinks arrived we took a few moments to decide what we were getting to eat. We placed our order and it didn't take the food long for the food to come. I would NOT recommend the Briarwood Chili's. Go to the Madison location instead. The manager at Briarwood was extremely rude and disrespectful and seemed more concerned with proving he was in charge than actually providing good customer service. Management requires knowing how to communicate with customers, de-escalate situations, and treat people with basic respect--and he demonstrated none of that with me. What made it worse was the restaurant was barely occupied, yet it seemed like everyone was still waiting on food. I came in fresh off work after a long day just trying to get something to eat, and his attitude made the experience so unpleasant that I requested a refund and left. Everybody who gets a management position does not have the people skills or leadership skills to be a manager. One of the worst service Ive ever had in a while. I had three servers pass my table multiple times, and they had no customer service at all. The bartender was good, no complaints and while I did not have any of their food, I wouod expect it to be like other Chili's. Worst experience I've ever had picking up a to-go order. Yes, a to-go order. 05/16/2026 The person working the to-go section desk is extremely rude and unprofessional. Once I got my food, I told her that the 40oz ranch that I paid $3 extra for was missing. She continues to pull out 2 tiny sauce containers and said "these are 40 ounces" .... I looked at her and said "Is this a joke? Maybe 4 ounces together but not 40" and she said "no, it's 40 oz" and I said "You're telling me the description and picture of the actual 40oz container on the app is wrong? why not say I'm getting less than what I'm paying for?" and she said "I'm not sure about the picture but these are 40 ounces". It took everything in me not to ask her how she managed to get a job that involves a cash register but can't look at a very tiny sauce container that's VERY clearly not anywhere close to 20 ounces and say two of them equal 40 ounces? Wouldn't pay attention to us and kept talking to her co workers while we was ordering. They had too much going on. Then one of our orders were wrong. Not only did we get charged for the mistaken order. The steaks were cooked completely wrong. This started pretty well ... Ordered to-go, it was ready on time and promptly brought to my car... Got the Cajun Alfredo pasta with Chicken... it was okay ish. Chicken was not very good. The seasoning looked like it was added as a total afterthought so the flavor didn't really come with the sauce or cooked into the chicken. Noodles were okay, not the best texture, sauce was kind of bland but alright. I also got a kids meal with a small pizza and corn. This was what was disgusting. The pepperoni on top was cooked, the cheese was cooked but the crust was soggy and doughy. I don't know if it somehow got steamed from heat or what. I assume the pizzas come precooked. If they happen to be semi cooked then the thing just never got fully cooked. If they come fully cooked, I don't know what could have happened. I went for my birthday(August 15th) and the experience was mediocre. The wait time(in MY opinion) was unnecessary because there were not a lot of customers patronizing at the time of arrival(approximately 45 minutes). Once inside the customer service was great and the drinks(margarita) was excellent. The chicken crispers on my Triple Dipper were not very good, even after send the first batch back for fresh ones. Went to ask if we could get our order and the waitress flatly ignored our questions. As we stood there, they had so many unhappy guests yelling , they had to call the Police to attempt to quiet the mob of angry guests. After politely asking for our order and standing there waiting for some kind of answer for 10 morw minutes, a police officer told us, "Get back in your car." We asked to see the manager. He offered zero apology, and said, "If you don't want to wait, it'll be 3-5 days before you get a refund." He shut the door in our faces. Wendy's has far, far superior customer service. OMG if I was the manager I believe last name Trevino or close. Again, this Jackson businesses living up to their poor reputation. I came here in 2022 to this restaurant to go. Since then I've been here about eight times. Always always poor customer service. They don't have enough employees. These people do not know how to treat their customers in the eight times we've been back. We've only been accommodated twice the other six times we left. It's always an issue with the service or seating or waiting for short of staff. These are the only people that will literally put their customers on top of each other with no view while the rest of the store is literally empty, it's never full because they don't accommodate a lot of people. If a lot of people come then they always give you a time where instead it'll make you want to leave. This is the worst Chili's I ever seen in life. I will never go back here. Me and my daughter came a couple of days ago. Sure enough same thing. We either had to wait an hour or they want to sit us about a group of eight where we couldn't get in or get out. There are computers at your table so you can order your food without your waiter which is pretty odd/futuristic. The wait staff that I did speak to was kind, however my friend's food and my food did not arrive at the same time. The deals at all Chili's nation-wide are good (2 for $20, Happy Hour, etc), however you always feel like crap afterward. I have been to this restaurant countless times. About 3 times a month. Service was always good until here lately. I'm not sure if the staff is mostly new or what but the service has dropped a bit. On 3 separate occasions I have had either a problem with my food or with one of the waitresses. But Mind u I have been here dozens of times. The very last time I visited, there was a older lady who was my server. I think she may have been new but She was great. The only problem that I had was that my black beans looked old. They didn't appear to be fresh. I have to give the restaurant a four because I have had extremely satisfactory times. We would love to eat here as it is so close to our house and we love chilis, however we will only go to the Madison location. I have been here 4 times. 3 of the times I came with one or 2 other white people and after waiting for 20 minutes each time and seeing other tables of African American customers be served, even if they came in after us, we got the hint. My friend didn't believe me when I told her "they aren't going to serve us" so we went again to see. She was shocked that I wasn't lying. Each time we experienced this issue and would see our sever texting and laughing with other servers, so it clearly wasn't an "I'm busy issue". One other time I came, I was with 2 African Americans. We were severed promptly. Definitely a good learning experience as I'm fully aware our black community members experience this issue far more than I do. This was by far the worst experience at a restaurant I've ever had. A couple of my good girlfriends and I went here to enjoy some good food and good drinks. Upon arrival, we was told there would be a wait, no problem we were okay with that. Once the wait was over, we were seated, it took the waitress about 15 to 20 minutes to get our drinks order. We all did the 2 for 1 margarita special, when we received our drinks we weren't satisfied AT ALL. The waitress was informed and she went to get the manager. When we came to the table and was informed about the drinks, he tells us that he doesn't take back drinks that a customer doesn't like. So, as I'm telling how the drinks taste to me, he tries to breakdown what in the drink. Note I've been to Chili's plenty of times to know what's all in a drink before I order it, because for one it's on the menu. I politely cut him off and tell him to just bring my another drink. He tells us that we're going to still be charged for the margarita that we didn't like. When we received the bills to pay, thankful the waitress didn't include the drinks we didn't like and just charged us for what we actually drank. Although, my experience was HORRIBLE.
