I agree with Rachel H's May 9, 2026 review. We were just here this morning and found their employees to be wonderful and my husband tried to tip Honey G. and another employee but they politely declined. We placed a large order of the mini donuts for middle school graduates to be picked up this morning and they had called us to let us know that they were ready. I commented to my husband that they I wasn't expecting that from a Winchell's franchise and felt that they operated more like a boutique style shop and made their customers feel special. Walked in to grab some donuts for my clients and myself with no greeting from the staff and waited for five minutes while one associate kept her back to the counter and the other walked to the back. It was dark and quiet with only one customer in the store. The one customer in the store was waiting for his order to be fulfilled, who in the silence began speaking Spanish to the associate. She looked around in the store still without greeting us and continued to speak with the customer in Spanish. I understand and speak Spanish myself, that isn't the problem. The problem here was customer service. Or the huge lack of. The other associate disappeared to the back entirely without a greeting or coming to offer assistance. My family and I have lived in this city for three generations, patronizing all local businesses throughout the years, this business and the surrounding ones as well. But I will not go back in there to not be acknowledged or in this case even serviced. I'd rather pay more at Sidecar or Krispy Kreme. read more

This was a pleasant surprise! My friend and I were here for bagels and coffee. Although there was a decent looking selection of donuts, my friend and I chose to go the carb-y savory route. I really like toasted cheesy bagels! Sooo carb-y, savory, and cheesy it was for our visit to Winchell's. My decaf and cheesy bagel hit the spot. My friend even said that Winchell's bagels could possibly be better than a popular bagel spot in our area. This shop was on our route. On the outside, it is in an old strip mall that appears to be on the sketchy side. There are tight parking spots shared among other businesses. I probably would not go out of my way to visit Winchell's. The folks taking our orders and calling them out for pickup were pleasant enough. There were plenty of vacant chairs and tables to choose from. They could have done a bit better to clean them off. This shop is a 24 hour one. For Halloween we purchased a dozen assorted doughnuts from Winchell's. We were having a get together and this was perfect to share with the group. I love how the doughnuts were decorated and I ended up grabbing a Chocolate doughnut that had candy corns on top of it. I used to go there, regularly, to purchase donuts for coworkers and employees. Then we graduated to the breakfast combos; you get a sandwich or breakfast bowl or burrito with a donut and coffee. The coffee is usually hot and fresh. I then discovered the garlic bagel, which is wonderful toasted with cream cheese but then add Veggie toppings was just brilliant. While waiting for my car brake job at nearby Midas (see my review of Midas) I decided to grab a bite as it would take at least 2 hours (took 3). I walked into what was surprisingly a Winchell's donut shop because they also had sandwiches. Surprisingly too because I'm old enough to remember Winchell's Donut shops at every other corner and now they're like an extinct dinosaur lol. Anyway apart from donuts, they had a good selection of tortas or sandwiches. Since it was lunch time, I opted for the carnitas torta and a root beer. The carnitas was pretty good. A refill cost 50 cents. What was quite unusual was that there was no big outdoor shop sign you'd find at any restaurant proudly announcing their presence. There was only a small door sign of Winchell's as if it was an afterthought. Quite strange. The interior was rather gloomy too. The food was good but the place is not inviting unfortunately. read more

LOVE this place! They have bagel sandwiches in addition to donuts and that's definitely my favorite part. I've been getting a bacon egg and cheese on a spinach parmesan bagel and they make it right there while I'm waiting. I LOVE that it's so fresh! One of the few Winchell's left. This one doesn't disappoint when the donuts are fresh. Located at the end of a shabby strip mall, this whole drab area is in need of a makeover. But don't let that stop you from reaching your objective. The goal of the day is donut goodness. To reach your goal you might have to get pass a few people with their hands out asking for "donations". The decision you make is up to you. Once inside, you'll be standing in a narrow path between window and counter. This usually requires some foot shuffling as customers come and go and you get your request in. The people behind the counter work in sync to create a dance of taking orders, pouring coffee and handling money. There's a nice size area to sit and eat, but I've never been that far in. Looks kind of dingy back there. I get my goodies and go. When the donuts aren't so fresh at home, a quick 15 second zap in the microwave will fix you up. read more

Sometimes they're prototypical behind the counter, other times you're waiting for someone to wander into view for assistance. The selection, on paper, is diverse but the availability is unpredictable. In my opinion, you should avoid operating with mostly empty trays--especially if you're open 24 hours a day. I'll still go here though because there's nowhere else in town that can match the convenience. It can feel scary late at night, so make your donut run with a friend or two. read more

There is one rude employee at this WinchelIs. I can't remember her name, but she's the older hispanic lady of the bunch. Customer service sucks! She doesn't listen to what you are ordering. When I got home, I noticed she put the donuts I didn't want in the box. She was too busy looking outside while she was taking my order & that's probably why she messed up on my donuts. Also she seems to only cater to the spanish speaking customers! She was attaining to them more. I been going to this spot for a few years now and she has not changed. I must have been starving or dying of hunger because I came here and placed an order for 1 bacon & cheddar breakfast sandwich, 2 regular donuts, 1 large mocha blended ice drink. By the way, this was all for me. That day I wasn't too concern about calories or appearing in any fitness magazine. Taste wise, the breakfast sandwich was ok for $3.50. The two donuts cost about $1.78. Seems over priced for two regular donuts. The large mocha blended ice drink was about average. All this for a cool $9.00.
