    Veggie sandwich on garlic bagel

I used to go there, regularly, to purchase donuts for coworkers and employees. Then we graduated to the breakfast combos; you get a sandwich or breakfast bowl or burrito with a donut and coffee. The coffee is usually hot and fresh. I then discovered the garlic bagel, which is wonderful toasted with cream cheese but then add Veggie toppings was just brilliant. Everything blended just right. yes, I was greedy enough to want two but did stick to one It's a wonderful combo.

For Halloween we purchased a dozen assorted doughnuts from Winchell's. We were having a get together and this was perfect to share with the group. I love how the doughnuts were decorated and I ended up grabbing a Chocolate doughnut that had candy corns on top of it. It was fresh and delicious and Winchell's never fails on providing quality food and drinks.

Easily one of the best winchells I've been to. The man who helped me today at 1:30 in the morning was super nice and quick. It's clean and smells so delicious in there! I'll probably be back very soon after another late night at work, it's great because they're open 24/7!

While waiting for my car brake job at nearby Midas (see my review of Midas) I decided to grab a bite as it would take at least 2 hours (took 3). I walked into what was surprisingly a Winchell's donut shop because they also had sandwiches. Surprisingly too because I'm old enough to remember Winchell's Donut shops at every other corner and now they're like an extinct dinosaur lol. Anyway apart from donuts, they had a good selection of tortas or sandwiches. Since it was lunch time, I opted for the carnitas torta and a root beer. The carnitas was pretty good. A refill cost 50 cents. What was quite unusual was that there was no big outdoor shop sign you'd find at any restaurant proudly announcing their presence. There was only a small door sign of Winchell's as if it was an afterthought. Quite strange. The interior was rather gloomy too. The food was good but the place is not inviting unfortunately.

LOVE this place! They have bagel sandwiches in addition to donuts and that's definitely my favorite part. I've been getting a bacon egg and cheese on a spinach parmesan bagel and they make it right there while I'm waiting. I LOVE that it's so fresh! They have an incredible selection of both donuts and bagels and SO much more. The food is delicious and the staff is so kind and efficient. I've been 2 days in a row!

Fresh donuts. Good bagels. Clean. Fast service. Not crowded. Parking lot is shared but big.

Breakfast bagels are decent except they always mess up my order lol - poppyseed bagel instead of onion. Asked for no onions except - onions... oh and if you want cream cheese it's 1.49 extra - WTF. Isn't that part of the bagel experience? Just charge me 3 bucks instead of an add on cream cheese bulls**t upsell. Pro tip: go to Ralph's instead. Cream cheese comes in little packets and it's free with their bagle Update 2: the saddest Blt to ever exist. Look at that generous portion of bacon

    Half dozen donuts

Super inexpensive and super tasty donuts. We got half dozen small and regular sized donuts and they were delicious. I wish i had tried their drinks which looked awesome on the menu

Half dozen box is kinda cute.

The donuts are usually good. Fresh batches are super yum. The service has been inconsistent for a while now. Sometimes they're prototypical behind the counter, other times you're waiting for someone to wander into view for assistance. The selection, on paper, is diverse but the availability is unpredictable. In my opinion, you should avoid operating with mostly empty trays--especially if you're open 24 hours a day. I'll still go here though because there's nowhere else in town that can match the convenience. It can feel scary late at night, so make your donut run with a friend or two.

    If you're hungry, they lit!

I don't remember if he called it US DONUTS like it is nowadays, but that's what I remember about this spot growing up, so it already holds a lot of local nostalgia. As years gone by to this day, the newer owners through the years have pimped it out with different decors, ice creams, sandwiches, Lotto, etc.. It still feels like the old mixed in with a new school Asian-owned donut shops, minus the classic smoking inside by the owners and older folks like in the 80s. The parking is always in free abundance as it always has been before. The donuts themselves have actually improved because there's a little more variety along with the classics, plus their donuts taste wayyyy healthier and lighter while not losing flavor! Not as oily as it used to be by past owners! I personally love their crumb and blueberry donuts because they have that delicious texture that turns to fluffiness in the middle. Customer service has always been awesome. Nowadays, instead of an old lady or old man, you have a younger pretty lady helping you with your order. The place isn't too big or small, plus you it's cool to get a donut here after getting a Starbucks or some foods nearby in this same stripmall. It's like a perfect spot for some classic, homely desserts!

During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95
