The good: I got a seasonal cinnamon roll they came with chocolate sauce and walnuts. There are three tables for 2 in front of this shop. They're located on the first floor of the mall. I like how soft the buns are. They served a variety of different buns with different topping options as well as mini buns. The bad: I think original was better than the version I got. The nuts and sauce were distracting and took away from the cinnamon flavor. The photo of this item had Halloween sprinkles but mine didn't. The buns are just heated up in the microwave which I guess is fine but it did seem less appetizing. The interesting: There's a sink out front by the right of the store for employees to wash their hands. But, it's also physically accessible to customers. I recently got to check out the Cinnabon at the new location at the newer side of the mall. It's adjacent to an Auntie Anne's. It was a Sunday afternoon and there was a continuous line of folks wanting an afternoon treat. It was nice to see that Cinnabon still had a big selection of fresh treats. I ended up choosing Cinna-sweets. They're $2.89 for five. The Cinna-sweets are like powdered donut holes and come with a side of sweet cream that you can put on top. It's a good, small snack but they were just ok. I would have liked it to have been warmer. They were soft however which was nice. Another nice thing is it was probably one of the lowest calories items on the menu haha (one of the reasons why I picked it). Located in the older, ghetto, not-so-glamorous side of the mall (due to renovations), sits this "amazing" Cinnabon shop. I haven't had a cinnamon roll from Cinnabon in YEARS and it was between a Wetzel's or this and my instincts chose Cinnabon. Went up to order a cinnamon roll and I asked the cashier (forgot name but it's a he) for a cup of water. He handed me a cup and told me to get water from the fountain. Now, if you were me you'd assume the water fountain. I look and walked around the area and didn't see any said fountain. So I went to ask him and he points to the sink asides from him and says this fountain in a rude manner. Do you not know what the difference between fountain and a sink is? I was pretty disgusted with his offering of sink water next to me. Considering this side of mall is renovation, you can't trust the water supply. Oh hell no am I gonna get poisoned. Cinnabon is undoubtedly the best place to get cinnamon rolls. This ones in the Del Amo Fashion Center mall just before the JC Penny entrance. My standard order is the Caramel Picabun ($5.59) which is the standard cinnamon roll topped with caramel and pecans. Quality is a hit or miss (unfortunately I've had more misses lately) depending on how long the buns have been sitting in the hot plate (this is easy to make out as the sides get hard as it is overheated whereas the center remains nice and soft). Lastly the young kids that man the counter should be taught to smile :) All said and done, my opinion is that Cinnabon is still the best place for cinnamon rolls. read more
