A "dozen" donut holes! Thank you!!
Sarah H.

I was out for a walk, trying to get my steps in and decided to reward myself on the way home. I decided to go in just for a few donut holes but then got distracted by their glass case that has so many different pretty and delicious looking offerings. I saw the croissant rolls with fruit and I asked what flavors and the attentive and super friendly person behind the counter said pineapple I think and guava and I immediately said yes to the guava. I did order a dozen donut holes and I got a few extra donuts for my daughter to have for breakfast tomorrow. Sidenote, I was amazed by how many people were in there eating lunch because it just never done me to go to a donut shop for lunch but it sounds like they have some good options. Overall, I feel like Yum Yum donuts taste like the ones that you can buy in convenience stores wrapped in plastic. So it is a sweet fix, but the dough is just heavier or lacks the air spaces to make it feel lighter. Maybe it's because I waited till the afternoon I went in about 1 PM perhaps if I went first thing in the morning things would taste a little bit fresher. Still, I would be tempted to go back and try a lunchtime option someday plus they have a bunch of really fun drinks to try. Because it is so close to my house I'm sure I will be back.

Great drinks

I recently was in Torrence, California on a business trip. The customer stated that YUM YUM Donuts are the best in the area. Upon entering, I saw the place was very clean and the decor was great. I was welcomed by the staff and they helped me right away. I noticed they great all the customers with a nice, welcoming smile. There was a large and great variety of donuts and other pastries to choose from. I very much enjoyed the donuts I purchased and will definitely go again if I visit the area again. Check out Yum Yum Donuts if you are in the Torrence, CA area, you'll be glad you did.

Carnitas torta (I ate most of it sorry)
Mason D.

This is a Yum Yum Donuts by a freeway, so my expectations were obviously low. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the greatest Donut Shop I have ever witnessed in 20 years! The meal deals are mad value for breakfast and I have never had morning calories go down easier. I'm a big fan of the carnitas torta as well as the jalapeno chips surprisingly enough. It made me rethink my whole perspective on chips. Moreover, the donuts taste good and I have never gotten a wrong item in my order, even though I consistently place consecutive orders for five people and hold up the line. The staff is friendly and I have not seen the problems that other reviews have mentioned, but I will refrain from extrapolating reasons as to why they were already having a bad day

Bear Claw Jun 2021
Keith F.

Finally stopped by this place after driving by it for 20 or so years. They have a wide variety of selections as per the usual Donot shops go, including sandwiches and of course I got a Bear Claw. The claw was fluffy and had a slight crunch initially with a soft inside. The apple filling was the normal industry standard. Not overly cinnamony and sweet. But it did not ooze out when taking bites. Unfortunately the Claw was medium in size as compared to other places that I have been to, but tasted good.

Review #986 2026-056…read more Food Order: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95 Another one bites the dust... bada dum dum dum... During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

Old Ferry Donut = quick carb win…read more Parking: Easy in the plaza. Vibe: Cute, playful, and totally Instagram-ready--donut display, merch wall, stickered mirrors. Order: Classic glazed--light, not too sweet, filling. Service: Sweet and efficient. Good for: Grab-and-go (seating mostly empty). Why it's trending: Fun branding + community energy = viral charm. Bottom line: Perfect stop if you're nearby and need a donut with personality.

It's Moon, and I don't even need to bother entertaining elsewhere. I rolled in at 8:00 on a Saturday morning to fully stocked display cases and didn't even have to wait in line. That's insane. Normally if you want your pick of the full menu you've gotta get up before the sun and haul it to beat the crowd. The guy at the counter is so cute! Every time I made a choice, he'd say, "Oooh fire" or "So goood" or "it's daaank." I love employees who have fun with their job, and aren't afraid to show their personality while interacting with customers. That kind of experience always makes me want to come back. These are the best donuts I've ever had. Super light, fluffy, not overly sweet, and in so many unique flavors! The Dubai and the Thai Tea were my favorite, only because I've never had anything like those before. Truly unique! I've never paid $45 for a dozen donuts in my life, but damn this is so, so worth it. They have two main types of donuts -- super dense and cakey, or lighter and airy. Most are the cakey variety, so if you are into lighter Krispy Kreme type donuts, there won't be many options for you. They have some interesting flavors to choose from. I have tried both the thick, crumbly ones and the lighter variety. Both are high quality, but their cake donuts are just way too dense and chewy for my liking. I did enjoy their light vanilla glazed traditional style donut, but at more than $1/bite, it's not worth it in my opinion. They do have good, made-to-order coffee; iced oat milk latte with a touch of vanilla is my go-to. Props to the staff for keeping the line moving, offering suggestions, and making good drinks. I'm giving 5 stars because there's nothing bad to report, I'm just more of a Krispy Kreme or rundown mom & pop donut shop kinda guy.

The donuts are always fresh, soft, and made exactly the way you hope a neighborhood donut shop would make them. I'd honestly put them up there with some of the best donuts in the area. My personal favorite is the glazed twist. There's something about how light and airy it is that makes it stand out from everywhere else. It has that perfect texture where it almost melts in your mouth with every bite, without ever feeling too heavy or overpowering. Pair it with a fresh coffee in the morning and it's hard to beat. I've noticed some people complaining about the credit card processing fee, but personally, I think supporting small businesses means understanding the realities of running one. Places like this aren't giant chains with massive corporate margins, they're LOCAL spots that have been serving the community for years and doing it well. If a small processing fee helps them continue making great food, and staying afloat in an increasingly expensive market, that feels like a fair trade-off to me. I'd much rather support a family-run shop like this than see places with real character disappear. If you don't like the fee, you can simply pay with cash next time.
