CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. Because I genuinely love the brand, it was especially disappointing to have a recent order cancelled at the last minute, followed by some surprisingly indifferent and unhelpful service when I reached out. At 6:30 a.m., being dismissed felt particularly frustrating. However, I want to specifically commend Sydney. Once she was involved, the entire situation turned around. She reached out to me directly, and her handling of the issue was exactly what you hope for but rarely get in customer service. She was professional, empathetic, and truly understood why this experience fell short. She took ownership of the situation and went above and beyond to make things right. It's rare to see a company take feedback this seriously and act with such genuine care. Because of Sydney's prompt and thoughtful resolution, my confidence in Sidecar is strengthened.
