    Veggie sandwich on garlic bagel
    Lawanda F.

I used to go there, regularly, to purchase donuts for coworkers and employees. Then we graduated to the breakfast combos; you get a sandwich or breakfast bowl or burrito with a donut and coffee. The coffee is usually hot and fresh. I then discovered the garlic bagel, which is wonderful toasted with cream cheese but then add Veggie toppings was just brilliant. Everything blended just right. yes, I was greedy enough to want two but did stick to one It's a wonderful combo.

For Halloween we purchased a dozen assorted doughnuts from Winchell's. We were having a get together and this was perfect to share with the group. I love how the doughnuts were decorated and I ended up grabbing a Chocolate doughnut that had candy corns on top of it. It was fresh and delicious and Winchell's never fails on providing quality food and drinks.

Easily one of the best winchells I've been to. The man who helped me today at 1:30 in the morning was super nice and quick. It's clean and smells so delicious in there! I'll probably be back very soon after another late night at work, it's great because they're open 24/7!

    Carnitas torta

While waiting for my car brake job at nearby Midas (see my review of Midas) I decided to grab a bite as it would take at least 2 hours (took 3). I walked into what was surprisingly a Winchell's donut shop because they also had sandwiches. Surprisingly too because I'm old enough to remember Winchell's Donut shops at every other corner and now they're like an extinct dinosaur lol. Anyway apart from donuts, they had a good selection of tortas or sandwiches. Since it was lunch time, I opted for the carnitas torta and a root beer. The carnitas was pretty good. A refill cost 50 cents. What was quite unusual was that there was no big outdoor shop sign you'd find at any restaurant proudly announcing their presence. There was only a small door sign of Winchell's as if it was an afterthought. Quite strange. The interior was rather gloomy too. The food was good but the place is not inviting unfortunately.

LOVE this place! They have bagel sandwiches in addition to donuts and that's definitely my favorite part. I've been getting a bacon egg and cheese on a spinach parmesan bagel and they make it right there while I'm waiting. I LOVE that it's so fresh! They have an incredible selection of both donuts and bagels and SO much more. The food is delicious and the staff is so kind and efficient. I've been 2 days in a row!

Fresh donuts. Good bagels. Clean. Fast service. Not crowded. Parking lot is shared but big.

Breakfast bagels are decent except they always mess up my order lol - poppyseed bagel instead of onion. Asked for no onions except - onions... oh and if you want cream cheese it's 1.49 extra - WTF. Isn't that part of the bagel experience? Just charge me 3 bucks instead of an add on cream cheese bulls**t upsell. Pro tip: go to Ralph's instead. Cream cheese comes in little packets and it's free with their bagle Update 2: the saddest Blt to ever exist. Look at that generous portion of bacon

Super inexpensive and super tasty donuts. We got half dozen small and regular sized donuts and they were delicious. I wish i had tried their drinks which looked awesome on the menu

Half dozen box is kinda cute.

The donuts are usually good. Fresh batches are super yum. The service has been inconsistent for a while now. Sometimes they're prototypical behind the counter, other times you're waiting for someone to wander into view for assistance. The selection, on paper, is diverse but the availability is unpredictable. In my opinion, you should avoid operating with mostly empty trays--especially if you're open 24 hours a day. I'll still go here though because there's nowhere else in town that can match the convenience. It can feel scary late at night, so make your donut run with a friend or two.

    If you're hungry, they lit!

Check out "Barako"-known to the people of Pampanga as a "strong, robust cup of kape", at least my mom & dad would say over & over as we were growing up. This shop is spacious, clean, modern , formerly occupied by another coffee shop, Greendoor. TCC features Filipino coffee culture, supporting the hardworking Filipino farmers. The beans are roasted in-house, its humble beginnings of roasting in the proprietor's (Ron Dizon) garage. Barako is the inspiration, Liberia cultivar. My parents would often reminisce that it is the best coffee they've ever tasted, drinking it black. Teofilo was the patriarchal namesake, Ron's maternal grandfather. His very strong work ethic was embedded into the fabric of this coffee shop. Proud Filipino culture in every cup. The space faces the Carson Civic Center with ample, free parking. One can easily spend some time at their comfortable indoor & outdoor seating. High ceiling, modern music playing in the background, it's an ideal place to hang out do some work or just chill and enjoy a cup of kape. Staff are amiable & helpful Whether you enjoy your coffee black, hot or cold, this shop offers innovative flavors for beverages that are Filipino- inspired &/or pair it with baked goods (sourcing local bakers like Gemmae Bakery), it's worth trying. Plus, it helps support the small business owner & the Philippines coffee farmers. They specialize in serving coffee sourced from the Philippines. Teofilo Coffee Company recently opened a second location in Long Beach. [Parking]: There's a designated parking garage, but it was surprisingly packed on Sunday morning and I barely found an available spot at 10 AM on Sunday. [Atmosphere and amenities]: This is quite a popular coffee shop, but there were only two employees working so expect to wait a bit even if you order drip coffee. Ask the cashier to print the receipt as the Wi-Fi password is listed on it. The cafe is very spacious and plays modern background music. There is also a small section of the cafe called the Tayo Na Library with books for kids to read. [Menu]: According to the sign, the best sellers are the halo-halo latte, turon latte, shaken bibingka latte, and ube matcha - so basically dessert-style lattes. They use the Aeropress to make the single origin coffee. *** Shaken Bibingka Latte (hot - $7.50): Not overly sweet with hints of coconut and a caramel aftertaste - good smooth finish. *** This is a solid coffee shop for anyone who is open to try latte flavors with a different twist.

Today was mother's day and the Enclave was busy with a lot of people. They were busy too but the time I came, the line was not to the outside window as usual and stayed indoors so it was a steady type of busy. I ordered my island matcha and sat to wait with my dog, until I just noticed the people behind me just getting their drinks first, then another, then another.. A family came in and got greeted, that was cute, probably regulars, their orders were taken and promptly made. Nice. But then the next ones also were getting made--huh? Where's mine? I thought they might have had some online orders? I was still sitting patiently in front of the pick up counter because I didn't want to bother the obviously busy lady that's super locked in. I worked in food before too, so sometimes I get that some tickets go in front of others and the steady locked in flow of the line was really cool to observe but this was a little bit too weird since--oh another one got his drink right after ordering. My husband finally regrouped with me inside because we also had ordered from the Fish grill, the order was done from fish grill, but I was still there wondering what happened to my drink from Nook--maybe syrups needed to be refilled? Maybe steeping tea?? Idk but at this point I was getting sad since I just saw another walk away with their drinks after just ordering. I sigh, my husband asks me what's wrong. I show him my phone showing the receipt of when I ordered and he noticed it's been a while and he also saw another walk away who just ordered with a drink in hand already. So he goes up to ask them if the island matcha came out. A guy from the line sees the order number, goes to their ticket tablet and makes my matcha drink in less than 5 seconds (I mean it, they're super quick). My husband beckons me to grab my matcha and I come up silently to grab it and leave with another sigh. Drink tastes great. Though the just making the drink quickly and not acknowledging/apologizing that something went wrong was kind of sad since I already felt disregarded in the first place. As I walked away I heard that my ticket just somehow didn't show up but sigh. I wish someone checked on me if I was waiting on anything. I know it's on me too for not speaking up, but I trusted the process. I thought they didn't forget about me. I was wrong. I burnt my favorite mixing bowl today, we got turned away from my fav restaurant for lunch because they were full and we just happened to be the one behind the last queue that got accepted today. I made yucky bitter matcha today. Went here to make my day better but it added more fuel to the fire. :C Sigh. See you in a while Nook. Me sad. Happy Mother's day to all moms today though.

The cortado was smooth and very spot on. I'd recommend it to anyone. Pastries were very delicious, muffins were full of nuts not just on top but in every bite and they come from an amazing nonprofit organization. That Bánh mì sandwich had a bread that tasted so fresh, good-quality, soft inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. Spanish latte was just okay for me; I wasn't a huge fan of the syrup they used, and it didn't have any cinnamon (not sure if I needed to ask for it). Customer service: It did take a little while to get served and get my order down but totally worth the wait. Most busy places would notice you and say, we will be with you in a minute, but here I had two girl in the back notice me and kept working on drinks and other kept cleaning, Shoutout to Ethan who was an awesome barista who saw me and had great customer service. Overall though, this place checks so many boxes we'll definitely be back.

We understood that we came in pretty late and close to closing, but we weren't planning on dining in, we just wanted to get 3 drinks and 1 food item to go. As soon as we walk in, we received with "we're closed for dining" which all three of us said okay, got it. As we took a look at the menu to figure out what we had wanted, we were met with annoyed stares and sighs as they watched us. This interaction in its full entirety lasted about 10 minutes from walk-in, to waiting, and leaving. It was a pretty uncomfortable situation, and kind of disappointing, as the girls making the drinks not only rolled their eyes and let out sighs while simply making our drinks, messing up one of them up and saying "oh well" and continued to make faces. Which is fine, I didn't ask for it be remade since I didn't want to further interact with the women during this closing shift in this establishment as to not want to feel anymore uncomfortable as we had been with the treatment from the staff. Along with the service not being the greatest, the food item we had ordered Pad See Ew, ended up containing quite a few pieces of meat that we weren't anticipating, considering one of us doesn't eat meat, it unfortunately caused pretty bad stomach issues. We hope that maybe we had just caught an off day with the staff and this isn't the usual service, but as it was our first time at this establishment, it will more than likely be our last.
