Friendly service. A good selection of freshly made donuts and croissants. They have very good freshly brewed coffee too.

Follow your GPS and don't just start winging it at the end because if you miss the turn onto Doble Avenue, you're going back around the block. It's in Harbor City in a warehouse, which makes a lot more sense once you know what the place actually is. La Española has been importing Spanish foods for more than 40 years, and they also make their own Spanish-style charcuterie right here in California. Being tucked into a warehouse near the Port of LA somehow makes the whole thing feel like a miniature local adventure. When you first walk in you have to acclimate for a second because every inch of the place is filled with something. Oils, olives, vinegars, paprika and other seasonings, wine, cheeses, meats, paella pans, and then random specialty things like soaps and room sprays. The neroli ones smelled fantastic, btw. I went in with a list because we were heading out to the desert and had decided we were making paella. We already had a carbon steel paella pan at home basically begging for the job, so this was happening. We left with sweet and smoked paprika, Spanish chorizo, a couple different oils, sherry vinegar, and several cheeses and meats from the refrigerated section. Plus, of course, some things that were definitely not on the list. Also, if you go on Saturday, they make paella in a gigantic pan behind the building and offer several varieties to go or to eat on the patio. We happened to be there on a Saturday and somehow stayed committed to making our own, even though theirs smelled delicious. I did get the skinny though, and they recommend ordering ahead. Side note: not only did they have everything we needed, we were clearly set up for success. See image for proof of concept.

I'll definitely come back for some of their tinned fish and boquerones (it's just a tasty anchovy). The staff were really kind and helpful. I felt bad browsing for such a long time, so I bought a sandwhich. At first I thought it was a little pricey. Then I thought it was a little small. Then I took a bite, holy cow it's worth it. I ate the first half as is, then the second have i ate layer by layer to taste each type of meat and roasted pepper. They give you a little cup of delicious olives and I highly recommend dipping your bread into the leftover brine. I'm looking forward to taking my friends here.

Considering it was our first visit she recommended a few things to her PopPop and me. She ordered the hotdog in pastry and the spam musubi. We ordered the apple croissant, ham and cheese croissant and the beef curry pan. Everything was quite tasty. We will return to try a few other things and buy bread next time. The service was spot on and friendly, in addition, we were asked if we wanted anything heated up. The ambiance is light and airy with windows all around. Items on display make it easy to pick out whatever you like. Highly recommend a trip to the Cream Pan. Unfortunately, we devoured our treats before I remembered to take a photo.

A month ago, they raised their prices quite hefty probably due to the inflation and tariffs. I was okay with this price increase. However a week ago, I bought and ate an apple pie (apple croissant) and while eating, I noticed in my mouth there was something sharp and metal. I took it out and saw that it was this metal piece that was IN the baked good! Like how does this even happen! I even feed the baked goods to my 1.5 year old toddler and if my kid ate it, I woulda had to take him to the ED! I am extremely disappointed by this and I don't think I would like to go back. This is a shame since I really liked this bakery. Other customers please be aware... there maybe some metal piece in your food...

Thankfully I've had some great exciting with this type of fish in the last few weeks but DARROW'S is and has been the best. That's why I titled this review THE GOAT. The food and service was that good! I had the Catfish Po'Boy the greens and the Bean Balaya. The flavor was perfectly savory. Straight up mouth Mardi gras. Yes I said it. Party was in my mouth. I loved everything and even ate my friends leftovers with no shame. The ownership and the whole crew working there were upbeat and friendly. I loved this spot! I'll definitely be back. There was such genuine warmth and kindness. They didn't make us feel like we were simply customers having a birthday dinner, they made us feel like family. As a daughter, there's something incredibly special about watching your dad turn 80 and seeing him happy, laughing, sharing stories about our family history, and surrounded by people who truly enjoyed celebrating him. By the end of the evening, it felt like Pops had gained a new Darrow's family, and that touched my heart. Thank you, Darrow's, for loving on my dad and helping our family celebrate 80 years of his life. You played an instrumental part in creating a memory that we will cherish for years to come. The food was wonderful, the service was exceptional, but the way you made my dad feel is what I'll remember most. Five stars PLUS! + We will absolutely be back.

She was taking and making all the orders by herself with waves of people coming in. Excellent multi tasking skills while maintaining her friendly upbeat composure. I had the ham Serrano sandwich with arugula and cilantro dressing and a drip coffee. Wow. Very tasty. I'm not sure where they get their bread from but it just melts in your mouth. Coffee was great. The very nice thing to see was the employee was wearing gloves while making my food. Thank you for that! And also the sandwich was $7.99!! The only thing I'd say is to get a storage pod. Boxes and clutter everywhere in the back of restaurant. Kind of an eye soar. The bathrooms and restaurant are clean otherwise. I look forward to coming back when my car is in the shop next door. There have been multiple occasions where I come in order and he is very rude. But today was the last straw for me. (Literally) I placed a online order through DoorDash for pick up and I arrive to the shop with nobody inside not a single customer or employee to greet me. I waited a few minutes to see if anyone would come out and nobody did. It was a ghost town until 15 minutes later after I kept asking hello out loud and squeaking my shoes to see if I could summon anyone that he finally came out and I told him hello. I have a DoorDash order and he said name? Ticket.? nothing?? and started walking off and I told them my name and he just got my drink and I told him can. I at least get my straw and threw it at me.
