What a great little local spot. Sure it could use some updating. It could be cleaned a bit more. Things could be fixed... yeah yeah I know sounds bad. BUT here's the deal. This place has been here a long time. It's a local spot and great donut shop. The owners are always present and very nice. Very helpful and take care of their customers well. It's a great place for a quick sandwich and smoothie. Their sandwiches are GREAT! I highly recommend them. I've tried their turkey and cheese on croissant. Bread is fresh, turkey is your basic processed turkey but good. Lettuce and tomato all fresh. Try it and you'll like it! This is a #8 on their menu. The tuna sandwich. Tuna tastes great, I also got this on a croissant. I highly recommend it if you like a good tuna sandwich. Food: Average. But more fresh tasting then others. Decor: Needs some updating asap. Let me start by saying I am usually very satisfied with my experience here. HOWEVER, today is a different story. I'm not sure if it's still owned by the same people because 1) I saw two different women running it today that I've never seen before and 2) the donut was not soft the way it usually is, it was a little hard like it was old. BUT THAT IS NOT THE ONLY REASON FOR THE BAD REVIEW. I ordered 2 donuts and a milk. After drinking it (through a straw so I didn't smell it), I realized my milk was spoiled. It had a sell-by date of July 8. Today is July 15th. Are they seriously telling me no one has checked/ cleaned out the refrigerator in at least a week? That crap was disgusting to say the least. Now here's hoping I don't get sick. I breastfeed my 6 week old daughter so I don't need any illnesses, etc. to pass along. I'll update after I leave my appointment and return the expired milk. Hopefully they at least handle the problem in a professional way. Update: I went back and was given a refund but no apology etc. Have never returned. read more

I was in Carson for just 2 days to bring my niece to college. We came across this donut shop as it was on our way to CSUDH. She loves donuts! Me??? .. take or leave them. She ordered her favs.. I ordered an iced coffee. There were muffins on the counter so I asked for 1 banana muffin. When I say this muffin was out of this world! I am not lying! I live out of state and am requesting and hoping they will ship muffins to me. I am considering another trip to Carson to not only see my niece..AND to go back to this gem of a donut shop! So, I use to go here a lot, when I lived in the area. And when I had some errands to do I stopped by to get breakfast from here. The people working here have been here for quite a while. What kind of irked me, was I asked for a ham and cheese croissant, and the girl helping me said that they're sold out, THEN she asked "Do you want me to make one for you?" Well, duh. What else would you be doing when I ask for one? Well, maybe I should have took it as a warning, because while eating my ham and cheese croissant I found a black fuzzy spot inside the croissant that can only be called mold. Discovered this place because my co-worker had bought us all these delicious tuna sandwiches. I work about two blocks away, and now every time we are celebrating someone's birthday, we order these sandwiches. We usually order them the day before and pick them up before work. great sandwiches and donuts. We get about 7 sandwiches weekly for our staff meetings. Croissant sandwiches are really good here. They run about $4. Big enough that I usually save one half to eat later. Sandwiches feel very healthy. They also have breakfast sandwiches with bacon, eggs and cheese. In town for a BBall tournament and stopped here because the Double Tree around the corner didn't have onsite laundry (kids uniforms needed washing). Found this shop next door to the Laundromat. My friend ordered an Iced Mocha for herself and an ice cream cone for her son. I ordered a simple glazed donut. My donut was basic w/o much flavor. The kid of course didn't complain about the ice cream, though his mom tasted it and commented that it didn't seem like it had any milk in it. Her Iced Mocha on the other hand had milk... "SPOILED MILK". It had pieces floating in it, of which she returned the drink for a refund. The shop is in a rundown little strip mall, which the store itself looks to not have had any updates since it opened; seating included. - I saw a cockroach in the laundromat and this place is the only adjacent food source - hmmmmm!
