This was my second visit to this location , and I have to drive about thirty minutes to get here , so it's an intentional choice that I am picking because I could very well go to somewhere around my own town. Both times I have been here there is a guy who is in the front who looks like a manager because he's not dressed like the servers and he is looking down clearly doing something , but if i'm standing right in front of you , the least you could do is pick your head up and acknowledge the fact that i'm standing there, so rude. Servers , on the other hand and the female hostess were all sweet. I ordered the Turkey Panini because I was looking for something simple to eat for lunch and it was a little dry.I wish they had put more of the balsamic dressing on there. I'm happy I ordered a side of the truffle fries.Because they were delicious.I could have had that as my lunch alone , paired with the passion fruit green tea that I had also very delicious. Will I be back? Sure. Will I rush to go back? No. Wish there was a closer location to me.

I met my friend here for brunch per a coworker's recommendation. I've passed Willow & Whisk and had been meaning to try. The menu has a great mix of drinks, breakfast items and lunch items. There's something for everyone. We shared the elote dip which I thought was ok. I had a matcha lemonade and the grilled cheese with truffle fries and my friend had a berry spritz mocktail and the prosciutto panini with regular fries. I really liked my matcha lemonade and the truffle fries and dipping sauce, not sure what was in it. The grilled cheese itself was good, not amazing. My friend liked her drink and food. The service and staff are great! I got here before my friend but they sat me and didn't make me feel rushed as I waited. The interior is welcoming and bright. I want to bring my husband back next time we go out for brunch!

Delicious food, inviting atmosphere and friendly service. We came on a Saturday for brunch and I really enjoyed it. We sat at the bar, had good recommendations on food, quick service. I enjoyed the cold brew and side of bacon in addition to the salmon Benedict with breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend.

Came her for brunch! Place is located in a corner of a busy street downtown. They have parking in the back of the restaurant. Cute decor with a couple of lighted trees in the middle of the restaurant. We had reservations so we were seated right away. We started with two apps mini brioche French toast and the Frittata bites! Both were outstanding the frittatas came with a side sauce that was amazing! We shared a couple of entrees and stuck with lunch. Spinach and Squash Salad, Goddess chicken sandwich grilled with a tomato bisque, and So-Cal grilled chicken. All were perfectly cooked what stood out was the tomato bisque soup creamy, rich and just the right amount of sweetness. By the way place is BYOB! I will be back!

Absolutely loved this spot. The aesthetics of the place are beautiful, warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding, which always makes the experience even better. We ordered the French Toast Bites, Breakfast Burger, Black Garlic Burger, and the Ranchero Scramble, and everything was delicious. The flavors were on point, portions were generous, and everything came out fresh and well prepared. The Black Garlic Burger was a standout, but honestly, there wasn't a single miss. Portions were generous, flavors were on point, and everything came out hot and well-prepared. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to. 10/10 !!!!

I have been to willow and whisk 2 times. The food is amazing! A great menu with interesting snd very well put together selections. Different than your average brunch /lunch menu. They also have a good kids menu. Very good beverage and a coffee station plus wine selections including Mimosa. They have Excellent service . The wait staff very attentive and accommodating to your needs. I ordered the So Cal burger. It tasted so fresh and great ingredients. It is a Breaded chicken cutlet, sharp Wisconsin cheddar, avocado, pico de gallo, roasted tomato aioli, brioche bun. The bun was so soft like it just came out the oven and all ingredients paired so well together. The chicken had a crisp to the texture and moist not dry. I had the maple-Dijon salad as my side. To be dressing was so tasty with fresh lettuce. I fell in love with the freshly made pita chips and feta dip it was a shareable and menu special. I had a mocha frappe and the way it came out looked perfect! It was blended very well. Our waiter he also made it a pleasant experience. Very accommodating to however and whatever we needed. The ambiance is very updated and a relaxed vibe to it. It has a spacious area not on top of each other .They are very pleasant as soon as you're greeted in until your leaving out. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Note... I have gone before this for breakfast but I have no Pics. The breakfast was so good. Really fresh ingredients. I had breakfast Classic and lemon ricotta pancakes. Their homemade sausage and bacon is amazing!! I was 3 other people and they raved about their breakfast selections.

Amanda M.

Very cute place, great drink options and hard to choose between breakfast and lunch with so many food options. Server was very nice and managed our large group well. We started with the French toast bites and lemon ricotta bites, I liked the French toast bites way more than the lemon ones.

Festive Vibe, Fantastic Food, and Friendly Service! Willow & Whisk is an absolute gem nestled in the rustic Short Hills downtown. From the moment we walked in, the interior impressed us--it's festive, beautifully decorated, and creates such an amazing, positive vibe. Tip: Best to have a reservation for your meal. Our experience was elevated by our waitress, who was genuinely friendly and incredibly nice, making our entire family feel welcome. The food was uniformly excellent. We started with the Greek Yogurt Bowl (granola and berries) which was perfectly yummy and fresh. We also ordered the Shishito Peppers (my sister grabbed them quick!), which were nice and served with a zesty dip and a slice of lemon. Here's what everyone loved for their main dishes: * My Daughter's Pick: The So-Cal Breakfast Bowl was a huge hit! It came piled high with breakfast potatoes, black beans, pico de gallo, sharp Wisconsin cheddar, and a sunny-side up egg, all finished with a roasted tomato aioli. She raved about it. * My Son's Choice: He kept it classic with the Willow Burger and a side of fresh fruit, and gave it two thumbs up. * My Wife's Dish: She thoroughly enjoyed her Turkey Panini Sandwich on ciabatta bread with a side house salad. The sandwich was sophisticated, featuring sliced roasted turkey, Asian pear, fontina, arugula, and a subtle strawberry-balsamic glaze--a perfect mix of savory and sweet. * My Meal: I went for the Black Garlic Burger (bacon-onion jam, arugula, manchego cheese, black garlic aioli, brioche bun). It was incredibly juicy and flavorful--definitely a standout burger! For drinks, the Maple Harvest Latte (flavored with cardamom) was warm, unique, and truly nice. We highly recommend Willow & Whisk for anyone looking for a wonderful, high-quality family meal in a beautiful setting. We can't wait to go back!

This lovely establishment is a 5 minute walk from the Paper Mill Playhouse in Milburn, NJ. A convenient place to eat either before or after attending an event at the theatre. The dining room is modern and decorated with trees and lighten that create a cozy eating atmosphere. The service was phenomenal. We were a group of 20 and our orders were taken quickly and served accurately. The food was very well prepared and presented elegantly. I especially enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. The French Toast bites were a delightful surprise. People seemed to enjoy shishito peppers, I'll take their word as I am not a fan of peppers. My Willow Burger was a taste sensation. It was pilled high with the topping of onion, avocado, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce and a tangy chipotle sauce. Yum. Worth the trip even if you are not attending the theatre.

Relatively new restaurant opened in the heart of Millburn Great service Great food and a wide selection of cocktails and mocktails We went here for brunch on a weekday. It's really tough to get a weekend reservation. On the weekday itself, it was pretty crowded. Almost all the tables were full. We tried an omelette, rancheros scrambled , egg brunch burger and a few sides So would suggest to reserve in advance and there is also a lot of parking available

We almost arrived a few minutes late and they will not extend your reservation FYI but definitely recommend making a reservation if possible the wait is LONG. I got a maple latte and it was good but the ladies who got the smores lattes were really impressed! I got the mushroom omelette and side salad and they were both AMAZING! everyone loved their food and drinks. Service was great and inside was gorgeous but a bit crowded.

SoCal Breakfast Bowl

First time visiting Willow and Whisk and it definitely didn't disappoint! The interior decor is beautiful and contemporary, showcasing a faux willow tree of lights in the center of the restaurant. W&W's menu offers brunch and lunch options with a variety of specialty mocktails, coffee and lattes, and juices. They also serve alcohol as well! What we ordered: Masala Chai Latte (personal rating: 7/10) So-Cal breakfast bowl (8/10) Lem-Berry Spritzer (6/10) Strawberry Compote French Toast (8/10) We really enjoyed our brunch overall and would love to come back! Service was great and food came out fairly quick. Highly recommend booking a reservation ahead of time because it gets pretty packed! We went on a Saturday morning at 9am and it was packed!

The entrance was confusing--it feels like you're walking into a clothing store, with a kitchen right next to it. Personally, I'd hesitate to buy clothes so close to cooking smells and fumes. The setup felt odd to me. Our server, Kayden, was a gem: attentive, polite, and welcoming. They were definitely the highlight of our visit. We started with the onion ring chutney, which I'd rate 2 out of 5. The onions were fried so hard that they were difficult to enjoy, but we were hungry and don't like wasting food. The tandoori chicken was underwhelming. The Foreigner burger had good flavor and was very juicy, but the fries were also overly fried and hard. I didn't understand the approach to fried hard. The Pom Pom juice tasted good, but it had too much ice and felt overpriced for what we received. I'm glad I finally tried it, and I appreciated Kayden's service, but the food and overall value left me unsure whether I'd return.

I'm traveling through NJ alone today, so I pull off I-78 in Maplewood and find the Park Wood Diner. This is an old school corner diner with a rear wraparound parking lot that's locally popular. I grab a seat at the counter and start checking out the menu. The breakfast menu card is tabloid sized and filled with choices on both sides and is available all day. I'm afraid to see what the lunch and dinner menu looks like. One of my breakfast favorites is corned beef hash and I get it with 2 eggs sunny side up with home fries and white toast. I love laying the oozy yolk onto a slice of toast and if there's any bread left, use it to sop up any runny yolk left on the plate. Of course, the yolk runs onto the hash and home fries, too. After this leisurely filling breakfast, can I even think about lunch or maybe dinner? I'll have to make a point to come back to see what's in store on the lunch menu. Maybe a pastrami or corned beef on rye or a comforting meatloaf? See you next time!

I finally made it there the other day and was shocked at how substantial the place was. It was no small bakery, but was a full cafe and gourmet shop as well. Though I did not try their savory sandwiches, breads, salads, or spreads at that time, I did purchase some of their sweets. First, the Chocolate Rugelach were some of the best I have had. The delicate, flaky cookies were like little croissants and were ribboned with a rich chocolate spread. Their version also had hints of vanilla, which I really enjoyed. I also got one of their large Chocolate Chip Cookies, which was thin, but packed with gooey bittersweet and semi-sweet chocolate. It also had a light sprinkling of Maldon sea salt on the top. It was super decadent! Liv Breads exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to revisiting to try many more of their items.

My family and I have been regular customers at Liv Breads in Millburn for the past five or six years. I come here almost every day, often morning and evening, for coffee and breakfast, and my husband gets his coffee here literally every single day. We have always enjoyed the food and coffee and have spent a considerable amount of money supporting this bakery over the years. Even a regular black coffee here costs around $5 plus and when you are buying coffee and breakfast this frequently for years, you are clearly a loyal, paying customer. But what happened today genuinely hurt me. After finishing my coffee, I asked for the usual refill. The person serving me insisted that I bring back my used coffee cup before she would give me the refill. She then specifically told me that "a lot of people like you" have been asking for refills, and therefore she needed to see my cup before giving me one. If there is a new policy requiring customers to show their original cup, I have absolutely no problem with the policy. What upset me was the way it was communicated, particularly the phrase "people like you." As a brown-skinned Indian woman, I could not help but wonder what exactly "people like you" meant and whether I would have been spoken to the same way if I looked different. I am not claiming to know what was in anyone's mind, but I can say how the interaction made me feel: singled out, embarrassed and unwelcome. I have lived in the U.S. for years and cannot remember another interaction that made me feel this way. What makes it especially disappointing is that this wasn't an interaction between a business and someone who walked in for the first time. They know us. We have been coming here almost daily for years. Customer loyalty should mean something--not free coffee and not an exemption from reasonable policies, but simply being treated with familiarity, dignity and respect. The food and coffee have always been good, and that is exactly why we kept coming back for so many years. Unfortunately, after today's interaction, I walked away feeling deeply uncomfortable and no longer welcome. After five or six years of supporting this bakery, it genuinely makes me sad to say that I don't plan to return.

We went on a random Wednesday when the restaurant was about 90% empty, yet we were seated in a booth in the back where water was literally leaking from the ceiling onto the table. We asked to be moved, only to find a huge amount of trash underneath the next booth. As I looked around, I noticed napkins, crumbs, and trash all over the floors. There was absolutely no excuse for that, especially considering the restaurant was nearly empty and several staff members appeared to be standing around and goofing off. On top of that, it was ridiculously cold inside. When our food arrived, we had to rush to eat because everything got cold so quickly. We couldn't even keep our coffee warm. The manager was very nice and apologized, explaining that he tried to control the air but was unable to. He did speak to an employee, who came over and swept maybe 10% of the mess before going right back to hanging around. And unfortunately, the food wasn't good either. Nothing tasted fresh. The potatoes were undercooked, the bacon was overcooked, and trying to eat that kind of food cold made the entire experience even worse. I've given this place far too many chances. This was the final one. I will never be returning.
