Stopped by this bar/restaurant in late July when visiting Key West with fellow Yelper Christa S. One of the most enticing things about the place was the atmosphere and all of the $1 bills plastered all around the place! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the music and jokes by John LaMere. My travel buddy got the oasters while I ordered the Key West Conch Fritters. I'm not going to lie, they weren't my favorite, but considering I was traveling, hungry, and hot, they got the job done. Don't be fooled into thinking this restaurant is all about live music and drinks. The food is excellent and the customer service is top notch. Megan was our waitress, she never left us feeling neglected or wondering where our waiter was. Four of us all ordered food, the restaurant was packed, and we still got out of there within an hour. That's impressive. The Panini's, BLT, tomato soup, and nachos are all highly recommend. Especially the Panini's and tomato soup. This is not cheaply made tomato soup. Chunky pieces of tomato and all the right seasonings. If you are looking to eat on Duval stop here. They ALWAYS have music playing when we walk by, but it's not too loud to enjoy yourself. The food is good, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. Five stars. I would return. read more

How horrible the food was here, is actually impressive. We were a group of 12 including adults and children. NOT ONE person finished half their meal. They literally messed up 12 meals. The worst entree had an adult throwing up within 3 mins of eating, and only taking 1 bite. He knew immediately he was going to throw it up. A child threw up 90 mins later after eating a mac & cheese (how hard is this to cook?) The chicken in a pasta dish was extremely tough and well overcooked. You could easily tell this chicken had been sitting at room temp for awhile before cooking. This person also threw up later that night. The apps were subpar, but not atrocious like dinner. The drinks were average to slightly above average. So if coming here for a bar only, you might do okay. I'd STRONGLY advise not to eat here if you do not want to throw up. The waiter who was fairly attentive took 20% off. We should have had the entire food portion comped, if not the entire meal. read more

Wow this was a great place to go for lunch. Live music lots of good energy the staff running around decorating the place for next week which apparently is going to be a big deal down in Key West. The place is decorated with the thousands and thousands and thousands of dollar bills stapled up on to every surface. We were told the reason for this is that the sale is believed it was lucky to hang up a dollar bill at your favourite bar before you set sail. Our waiter told us that the bar donates money every year to a chosen charity last year they donated over $10,000 from all the dollar bills stuck up on their walls. But I had a margarita special that day two margaritas for $12 which we took the drinks were really tasty. My husband ordered the fish and chips which were really tasty and I had the Greek shrimp salad which was topped with pinenuts cheese and grilled shrimp. My salad was really tasty I enjoyed the mix the flavour of feta cheese and pinenuts and the six grilled shrimp Went to weld them just really not quite enough. Oh wait it was super friendly he brought us map and he gave us all the best places to see in one day. When we walked past late that same evening they was another musician playing and honestly if I wasn't so tired I'd of gone back for drinks to enjoy the music there again. read more

Stopped here for a late lunch and was apparently invisible... the hostess sat us at the front of the patio and the waitress looked at us as she helped the table next to us. And proceeded to walk past us three more times without a word. And here's where it went sideways... I went back to the hostess and asked if we had a waitress. When my friend told me about their wide selection of mojitos there was no doubt in my mind I had to go here. In fact, it was our very first destination when we got to Key West. I went with the classic Key Lime mojito that was a perfect blend of sweet and minty. The sugar cane stick that came on the side was a pleasant and welcome surprise. I also tried a dragonberry mojito and it was definitely different than mine but if you like that strong fruity taste then you'd enjoy this! I wanted to order multiple but at eight dollars a drink, I resisted knowing that these things could add up. For food I went with the goat cheese and avocado salad. Two of my favorite things combined into a filling and aesthetically pleasing display! I cleaned my plate. I also had a bite of my friend's mahi-mahi wrap that had a mango salsa which was good as well. There's no denying the atmosphere of this place is great. With dollar bills lining the trees, walls and poles and a thatched roof, this place embodies a classic Key West bar that always seemed full just about any time we walked by. Atmosphere is what you want in Key West but ... yesterday I ordered nachos and it was all chips and little topping. Today I ordered flatbread pizza and got a round one (burnt) that tastes like that one you get at the convenience store for 99 cents a slice. Actually, that 99 cent pizza is better. Probably my favorite place on Duval St. It's where I take folks who are visiting and it's where I go for lunch when it's just me. There is usually a band which gives it a fun vibe because he is either playing Jimmy Buffett or some 90's rock that everyone loves read: Bon Jovi. The staff is great and the margs are typically 2 for 10. Definitely a deal worth mentioning. Bring a spare dollar with you so you can write your name on it and staple it somewhere on a post like the hundreds, maybe thousands before? I don't know, but there are dollars everywhere. In addition to the fun vibe and the dollar bills it should be mentioned that the food is good. Not just bar food good, but good food good. The quality and service are definitely above average here. You might not expect much for a place located in the middle of tourist central, but this place is where it's at. I haven't had a bad experience here yet and I don't think you will either. We were walking around on Duval Street after watching a gorgeous sunset at Mallory square. Super hungry and we spotted Willie T by the live music and crowd outside. Decided to go in and were seated right away outside which felt amazing with the key west weather. I ordered a beer and an ordered nachos with chicken and gauc. Too Busy We stopped in while walking down Duval to get a refreshing Rum Runner. It was a scorching day and the drink was refreshing and quickly made. They had baseball games on the big screens and it seemed like a DJ was seting up for later. It was pretty empty but later that night we walked by and saw the place pretty full with a young crowd (20-30). We didn't have any food so this review cannot help you with that. The food here is HORRIBLE. Everything is over cooked, bland, just bad in every way. Our group had a little of everything. My grouper sandwich was WAY overfried, and I'm not sure it was grouper. The burger was, well, just bad. The pork tacos weren't the worst, but that's about it. My painkiller (drink) was a bad rum drink that was a sweaty mess of bad rum and sugar water. The prime rib sandwich was charred and crunchy on the outside, and the accompanying mushrooms were reminiscent of a burnt match head. The mahi that topped our Caesar salad was a dried, over cooked minnow impersonating a filet. Don't EVER eat here. This place should quietly fade into the night on a slow Tuesday, with the lights going out as the last person leaves. Or better yet, when the next hurricane comes, the owners should remove the hurricane straps, open the windows, and let nature take its course. This location would have a better life as a crack addled trap house, compared to the sad disappointment of a gastronomical letdown it exists as. read more

Cool bar with a large outdoor patio area that serves awesome mojitos as well as frozen drinks! The entire bar is also covered with signed dollar bills (as are a couple other bars I've seen in the Keys). We stopped by here first on a Friday night around 9pm, and it wasn't super busy at the time. There was a musician playing the guitar, and he was a solid act. We just seated ourselves at a table in the patio, and our server came by pretty quickly to get our drink order. We tried: -Island Rum Runner: Yuck, this tastes like the slushy version of cherry cough syrup. Skip! -Frozen Key Lime Pie: Yum- this tasted like a key lime pie milkshake. They actually add ice cream in here, so this is a very creamy drink. Recommended if you're looking for a dessert in a drink! -Key Lime Pie Mojito: Yum- really well made, and not too sweet. You can definitely taste the key lime pie, but the rest of the drink was very smooth. Recommended! -Coconut Mojito: Also really good, but I liked the key lime flavor more than the coconut. This is a great bar to come for a more casual night to chat with friends and enjoy some mojitos! The musicians rotate out every few hours, so you do get to hear different styles of music. read more
