Clean, well organized and easy to shop. They are located inside of the International Plaza Mall in Tampa, and have plenty of merch! They are a large location. They are doing a good job of social distancing with one way pathway markers, mask requirements, and cleaning the card readers and counter between every customer. We found some great instant pot starters that we didn't even know existed, so we grabbed one of the ones that was on sale to give it a go. Staff was nice and offered us help if we needed it. They usually have tasting and classes, but they are currently on hold with COVID measures. Overall: A Good location with friendly staff. The sales associate who was ringing the gentleman in front of me had to wait for the sales associate to chat up with a friend instead of going to the back and made him wait. Every year the Gingmas season must begin with some sea salt peppermint bark from Williams Sonoma. This is a tradition you just can't mess with. 2020 would be no different and so we dawned a mask and headed to the mall! Great experience, truly. Williams Sonoma is such a magical place as is, but especially around the holidays. The customer service was absolutely exceptional. My peppermint bark trip turned into a total shopping haul. They held my things up front while I shopped! I even was able to pick the brain of the team member who was assisting me. (I wish I could remember her name.) She was a complete expert on all the products and clearly knows a thing or 2 about cooking. She offered advice on how to clean/maintain and so much more. The tradition lives on. read more

5 STARS!!!!! Let me start by saying I have shopped at Williams-Sonoma a few times before and I have always had good experiences. Our Experience today with Martha however was Exceptional! My Husband and I drove to Tampa to do some shopping for our New Home we are building and to have Lunch. We walked into this location and were greeted by Martha. We began to look around and having already reviewed the Williams Sonoma website we were familiar with the items we were interested in. When the time came where we needed help I looked up smiled and waved over to Martha, she stopped what she was doing and came right up to us. We began discussing everything we wanted to purchase. They had a good selection of Le Creuset and some of the All-Clad and Kitchen-aid items as well. At first we were hesitant to order the items that were not available in store however we felt so comfortable with Martha we went ahead and ordered the rest. She even suggested other items and colors we had not considered before; the Color of a Mixer and a Heritage Le Creuset Casserole Dish. Once we paid we went to have lunch and afterward she was Kind enough to Wheel everything out to our Car! This was a Lovely Shopping experience we had with Martha and not just an Experience but a Memory my Husband and I have purchasing beautiful Cookware for our First Home Purchase together! Williams-Sonoma is listed as the premier specialty retailer for gourmet cookware in the United States, but I honestly feel as though the business has not kept pace with the changing needs of their customer base. Chuck Williams founded the original cookware shop in Sonoma, California in 1956, and offered classic French kitchen equipment that had never been seen by many Americans. While I admit that fancy copper cookware is still the rage for many gourmet cooks, the vast majority of us are looking for something more affordable and practical. Williams-Sonoma has chosen to close their stores at the Citrus Park Mall and in Hyde Park Village (likely due to lack of sales), leaving only the store in International Plaza for Bay area shoppers. You'll find WS on the upper level of International Plaza, near Dillard's and opposite the Apple Store. I stopped in recently to search for an Asian steamer set, and to look through their selection of spices. I found the aisles of this store to be cluttered and crowded. It's tough to move around for fear of knocking something off of the shelves. I asked to see the selection of food steamers, and was shown over to the ones costing several hundred dollars. I explained that I was looking for an Asian steamer to make pot stickers, and was told that these would do the trick. When I asked about a bamboo steamer like the ones they show in their catalog I got a blank look from the clerk. Oh well.... no sale for you! Then I walked over to the wall display with their jars of spices and was quite surprised at the prices. $8 - 12 for an ounce and a half of their pre-ground spices seemed excessive to me, and so I left the store empty-handed. No thanks, I know where to find things that are more reasonable in price. Sorry Williams-Sonoma, I like your other brands such as Pottery Barn and West Elm, but you're just too cool for me. When posting reviews, I try to be fair and post my experience whether good or bad. This experience was pretty bad which compelled me to post. I visited William's Sanoma this past Saturday Jan 19, 1019. The sales associate Jeffrey was super helpful when I first walked in the store. He was very courteous and knowledgable about a product in was interested in. After looking through the store and choosing items, I went to check out and it was like Jeffrey did a complete change! I had to ask him 3 times for a price of an item before he rang it up, but he ignored my request and instead asks my phone number and email. He could have simply told me that first. Then after he finished, he rang up the merchandise anyway. I stopped him to tell him AGAIN that I wanted to know the price first. After telling me the price I decided against the product. He looked super annoyed at having to remove from my bill. The rest of the experience with him was just as bad and I was so ready to leave. With all of the money I spent that day in the store, he could have not made me feel like I was an annoyance or not valued. I almost just left the products there and walked out. This will be the last time I ever shop at any Williams Sanoma. I never want to go through that again. It's a shame because I like the store but there are other comparable stores that can have my money. read more

I have been to this location MANY times especially since I just got married and my husband and I registered here. I have been waiting to write this review thinking I needed more information for a responsible review. Sadly, my experience is consistently the same and it's not pleasant. It's too bad that the customer service here is unbearable because Williams Sonoma has great products and at other locations is an enjoyable shopping experience. Not here. Lord help you if you have to be subjected to the sales associates. If you can get one to look you in the eye, they help you begrudgingly without any effort to hide their feelings towards another annoying customer. And don't you dare ASK anything about any of the products because they are completely useless in this realm as well. While at other locations sales associates are knowledgeable about the products they sell, here you will not get that experience. The most frustrating experience for my husband and I was trying to purchase our Shun knives. We had several questions about why lines within the brand were priced differently (can you tell us why? What kind of metal? Type of craftsmanship? Etc) and literally received "They are different" as an answer. Obviously they are different! Why are you so useless?!? I strongly recommend going to another location if you can especially to do a gift registry as this one will provide you a terrible experience. read more

I love Williams Sonoma, but I loathe the location at International Plaza. The square footage is too small and it is impossible to look around the store without stepping on someone else's toes. The register area is completely unorganized and there is no method to the madness. There are four registers, but no area marked for a line so if you stand behind someone who is making a return or has a million questions you will stand in line FOREVER!!! Made the mistake of doing some of my Christmas shopping at this location and it took every ounce of my patience to not blow up. read more

I am far from an expert cook but I'm trying to learn so coming in here and gaining perspective on how to cook with great tools has always been exciting to me. My biggest problem is not a Williams Sonoma as much as it is this location. As others have expressed, the sales folks in here are by far the most unfriendly and unhelpful group of people. After many visits, I've noticed their selective customer service to those that "fit the part". Clearly, I'm not one of Tampa's elite that they seem to acknowledge upon entering the door. Had a great shopping spree at the Hyde Park WS earlier this week and thought I'd go over to International. Few sale items left there, but I did find a table runner I liked. Several price tags on it, the lowest of which said $2.99. I asked a friend to look at it, she agreed, it was 2.99. Surprising, as WM prices are pretty high for goods you can pretty much get at TJ Maxx for way less. Still, sometimes I want stuff that doesn't end up at the discounters. . At checkout the clerk told me the price wasnt 2.99--and showed me the correct price tag. "We didn't put that tag on it," he said. Uh, ok. Well I didn't put it there, either, buster.But it's there. "Yes but it doesn't say (name of runner). It says (napkins name)." Yes, in print the size of an ant footprint. "Well, since this is your error, what can you do for me?" I politely asked. "It's not our error, we did not put the wrong tag on it. And the right tag is also on it. That other tag is clearly wrong" I asked (nicely) to see the mgr. Her response was exactly the same. Ok, I can accept they they wouldn't discount it even a bit after I asked. What was intolerable was the snotty attitude they both had and the implication that I had put the lower price on it. (Not hardly). So here's a lesson in customer service: "I'm so sorry! It looks like a tag for something else got accidentally affixed. I wish we could do something for you, but it's our policy that if the right tag is also on it, we can't. I'm terribly sorry. Would you still like the runner at its real sale price of...?" That's how you handle a customer nicely and still get the outcome the store wants. Way more customer oriented & polite, They should learn how to do this. Won't be returning to that store. read more

All Williams-Sonomas are pretty standard, high priced but trendy. You can certainly spice up your kitchen in one, if you have the "liquidity". Occasionally you find bargains (I got soft pretzel mix at half price since it would expire in two weeks). They have nice food demos followed by small samples. I love their pumpkin spread. (It's not so fair that they mark it down 20% as an individual container but not in with the bread mix-it's 5% then. They say "it's already discounted so we only take it off the individual prices--which is a little shady math to me.) Not a fun store to be in when there are crowds. They lose business because they don't post their hours in this store. The busy Apple store across the way has many people get out of lessons who'd love to shop here after but have no clue when they might open. My guess is 10 am on weekdays and 11 am on Sundays, but not sure. read more

Great store, but they have a crazy notion of math. Listing a rectangular pan as 13 x 9 because they consider the width as 13" is just plain wrong. By definition, the length is the longest side of a rectangle and therefore should be listed as 9 x 13, both by convention and to be technically correct. read more

The products are nice, but DO NOT sign up for one of their credit cards-they do not deliver what they promise. I signed up for a card because of some of the benefits including a birthday rewards I was supposed to receive for $25. My birthday month came and went and no rewards I called Customer Service and was told it would come in the following month via mail. That month goes by still no reward so I called customer service to be told "oh no, that was sent via email and it's expired". Then I was told I would be transferred to the gift card area so that the promise could be honored, - I was left on hold for 15 minutes nobody came back on the phone and I finally hung up. Then I called back and asked for a supervisor and was told I would be transferred to one but again, 10 minutes go by on hold, nobody picks up and so finally I hung up. I don't know who is running this place but their customer service staff should all be fired! read more
