We are wanting to replace the carpet in our home and looking for ideas. We stopped by The Tile Shop to see what they had for selections. They do have a pretty big variety of options, and a little more pricey than some other places we have been, but the material seems to be pretty good. The associates do not interact with customers from my experience. I do not like employees who want to shadow customers around, but you could at least say hi and let us know that you are there if needed. read more

Well, I've been in contact with corporate and no one is willing to help! After 2 days passed The Tile Shop's 90 day return policy no one from the local store , regional manager, corporate would work with us as a repeat customer. You have lost a lifetime customer, my contractor, and I will also spread the word about the lack of cooperation. I'm writing this review because for the second time The Tile Store has over-charged me. A few months ago I bought beautiful expensive tile and was charged too much and once realized had employee correct error. Again last week I only needed 3 more sheets of 12x12 glass tile to finish project and they over charged me again. The employee actually argued with me about inaccurate charges until I got my calculator out and proved it and subsequently was refunded. I told employee that they need to retrain there staff because I doubt these r isolated incidents or padding every customers bill is there scam. The Tile Store has unique beautiful tile but so over-priced vs their neighbor next store Floor Decor. Please protect yourself and double check your receipt at a dishonest business like this. read more

Worked out a quote for tile, thinset and grout The tile alone was $24,000 before tax.... the materials almost $4-5k... tile was $12/sq ft. How on earth can this company stay alive when the same tile was 100 ft away in the same plaza at Floor and Decor for $2.99/ sq ft. ? I compared quotes... I told her what look I was going for and she was able to finesse it to exactly the size, shape, color and design I want. We noted the several negative reviews before dropping in here in a search for tile for a fireplace surround and a complete bathroom makeover. We wandered the samples some and noted prices seemed higher than Home Depot without much more variety. And although we could see and hear staff chatting at the back of the store, we were there about 15 minutes without anyone offering to help. So we just left, figuring it they did not have time to make a sale, their attentiveness to customers after they paid would be worse. We went in to The Tile Shop one evening, looking for a few options for our kitchen backsplash. We were walking up and down every aisle, getting some ideas, when we ran into Valerie, a Sales/Design Consultant. Boy are we glad we did. She was so knowledgeable and helpful and went out of her way to listen to what we were trying to accomplish, offering several ideas that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. We left with several samples to try out for when our new granite gets installed. We will definitely make sure Valerie is in the next time we visit. read more

We went in to look at some tile options and found a few candidates. When we asked about samples to bring home to see how they fit, we were told we could buy a few tiles but any that we didn't want would be returnable. 2 weeks later, we went back to return the tiles and look for some other options and we were informed that half of the samples were discontinued and therefore could not be returned. This store ended up getting a ~$10 sale at the cost of ever considering them as a supplier for our home. read more

We had a really good experience with the Tile Shop and absolutely love the tile we purchased. We worked with Gil, who was super helpful and knowledgable. When the tile we wanted to order was not available in the quantity we needed, Gil worked with his manager to get us a similar (more expensive) tile at the price of the tile we had originally chosen. The price ended up being a bit higher than we expected due to delivery/freight costs, which we had not paid for tile from another source (though it was probably just a cost built into the price we paid for the tile itself), but it was worth every penny. The customer service we received was fantastic. Don't be scared off by their retail prices - there is room for movement. Highly recommend. read more

Understand they may have already been with other customers, but a simple acknowledgement would have gone a long way. Not even one star! We bought 2500 sq ft of tile for the main floor and tile for a hall bathroom and in order to get a 'better' price we had to purchase their grout. The floor grout was marked "onyx black" and the bathroom grout was to be a medium grey. We hired a professional company that has done work for our contractor for over 20 years as installers. All the grout mixed to the correct color but after a few days it ALL turned WHITE. Tile Shop sent their manager, Calvin, who tried to fix it with chemicals (didn't work) and also tried a black marker which stained the tile itself. He sent a company to clean it thinking the color would come back (didn't work) and then the assistant manager, Gil, came over and took pictures. Both Calvin and Gil saw what happened and finally Calvin told me to try to find a company to fix everything and send him the bills. One of the guys working at our house told us about a company called, Grout Busters, that we hired and who was able to stain & seal the entire first floor and the floor and walls in the hall bathroom. I sent them all the invoices including the cost to stay past my deadline in our rental home. I also returned about $1500 worth of product which they wouldn't give my contractor a receipt. I had to hire an attorney which as cost thousands of dollars to try to get my money back and to date (this has been going on since the middle of 2017) they have only offered a small amount of money back and "cannot find my return". This company doesn't care about it's customers! Their managers saw what a mess my house was and knew that I had to delay moving in due to their inferior product. Black Onyx grout is not WHITE! Grey grout is not WHITE! I have pictures and samples which they have seen and they don't give a damn! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

I have driven by The Tile Shop several times on my way to F&D and never gave it a second thought. I recently renovated my kitchen and was at F&D. I was unhappy with their lack of selection of subway tile- they only had 2 colors- a yellowy cream or a white that was so bright it looked purple sometimes. So i went on over to The Tile Shop, expecting disappointment- i was so wrong! This place is nice, really nice. The Tile Shop had so many more options for everything- especially subway tile. They carry many different whites- glossy or matte, i was blown away by their selection AND their customer service. Upon my panicked arrival (screaming toddler and contractors at house) i ran into sales gal Sophia Carlson- i explained what i needed - several white subway tile options-and she immediately pulled samples and had me on my way in minutes. Sophia had the wherewithal and design sense (guys she is a designer) to pull several good options for me to take home- she was a lifesaver! When i went back to purchase the tile the entire team at The Tile Shop was helpful and friendly. And when i went back another 2 times for more grout- same thing- they even let me pay over the phone and brought the grout out to my car. I highly recommend going in here for any tile project, they have a huge selection and great lighting, unlike a warehouse, so you get a better feel for colors. Only hiccup is that they do not stock huge amounts of tile- so go early on in your project. Takes a week to ship or you can get earlier for a huge shipping fee, so just go early and no problem. My customer service experience was excellent- not only from Sophia, but the entire team! read more

After purchasing tile & grout there for a kitchen redo, we ran a little short on the grout. Sent a worker to purchase a container of grout but they wouldn't sell him any since he could not give them a phone number (he doesn't have a phone). Bigger stores than The Tile Shop don't REQUIRE a phone # or other personal info for a purchase, especially such a minor one. The "manager" obviously had no knowledge / training in conflict resolution. They lost any of our future purchases. read more

Went in to look at tile for our kitchen backsplash and John was nice enough to come find me in their now room and offer his assistance. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about their tile and the process of installing a backsplash. Set me up with six different samples to take home that they offer a full refund for. Picked the tile I wanted and they were able to order it and have it ready for pickup by the end of the week. Really enjoyed working with John and highly recommend his assistance, wasn't pushy or anything with trying to sell their tile, was very fair and knew what he was talking about. After a horrid experience with Floor and Decor in Clearwater - both the dark-haired lady and Will, went the Tile Shop in Tampa (2905 dale mabry). Alicia helped me. She was fantastic. We put together the tile layout for two bathrooms. She listened to my ideas, led me through some examples and proceeded to put together two designs that were magazine worthy. After playing the Florida game of "how much do you want to be gouged by dishonest retailers and contractors?", I happened across the TileShop on Dale Maybry one frustrated Sunday afternoon. Alisha Nash turned out to be a blessing. She knows how to rapidly quote a project. (the other local flooring hacks were telling me it would take a week just for the quote) She made recommendations about how to save money, not how to jack up costs and waste my time trying to come up with an inflated number as if I couldn't do math on how much the price per square foot cost would be for my projects. She also gave great recommendations on seasoned installers that offered fair prices as well. The net of the great experience, I bought 3 bathrooms of fantastic high end tile and installation for 30% less than what other flooring retailers were quoting and the Tile Shop and the installer both made good money. One of a handful of honest businesses in this area you will find. I will be going back to Alisha for all my future tile needs and I highly recommend her for yours.
