Our garden tub sprung a leak which necessitated the remodel. We hired CMK Construction to remodel our shower/tub area. Best. Decision. Ever! We got 2 bids before hiring CMK. One company came out to meet with us and then never called us back to see if we wanted to proceed with them or if we had any questions. Their pricing was also higher than CMKs and even though their methodology seemed comprable, their lack of communication didn't bode well. Our first CMK visit on 3/3 was with Jason C. who went over all of the details with us. Hubby and I decided to eliminate the garden tub altogether and expand the shower area. We really didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted and Jason encouraged us to look at Pinterest and other sites to get a better feel for what it could look like. The printed information Jason gave us regarding their workmanship and guarantees was very reassuring. He even gave us a sheet to do comparisons with other companies and with questions we could ask to better compare bids. He explained how they use a special water barrier to ensure moisture doesn't seep into the walls. He also gave us printed instructions with what we could expect at each stage of construction. Super helpful! Once we decided on CMK, they sent us a proposal and we were off to the races! They estimated 4-6 weeks for the entire project. We signed the contract on 3/31. They let us know that we were in their queue for August. We then met with Grady S. who is one of their designers. Grady came out to the house on 4/23 to look at the existing bathroom and to ask us specific questions on what colors and hardware we were looking for. He measured everything and said he'd schedule us to come to their design studio to make final selections. We met Grady on May 6 and he helped us select wall tiles, floor tiles, paint colors, and hardware. Once we made the selections, he printed out CAD drawings of everything so we could get a feel for what it would look like. From there, they ordered everything for our job. We had a pre-construction meeting with our assigned project manager, Zach N. on 7/17. Zach said they could start earlier than expected and went over the contract and the change order we requested. Again, he made sure that we were all on the same page. From there on, Zach communicated with us throughout the whole process via phone and text. He also came by often to check up on the work that was being done. They began on July 21 2026. The contractors that they used were all very professional and easy to work with. Some of the crews spoke very little to no English (Spanish and Portuguese), but since I am a bilingual Latina, it was no problem for us, although I could see where this could be an issue with other clients. The demo team put down butcher paper from the front door to and including the master bath and also put down plastic on our carpet. Then they proceeded to put up plastic walls to cut down on the dust, which I completely appreciated!! It still got dusty, but that's to be expected. Demo was done in a day and then they started working on the shower. The contractors that came out were very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions, which we incorporated, as they were working. They came out most days. After the demo team was done, the concrete team (that's what I call them) came out and installed the Schluter waterproofing system and put up the wall tiles and floor tiles. The plumber Mitch L. came out to do his bit, as did the electrician who installed a new exhaust fan. Mitch was super informative regarding what had to be done. We had a termite guy come out and spray the floor before they poured the new concrete. The painter was very detail oriented and didn't leave until he was fully satisfied with the work. He really did a great job and went above and beyond. He took away all of the floor coverings and swept all the areas. Mitch came back out to install the shower hardware and ensure that it was working properly. Both Mitch and Zach were in communication with the Pasco County inspectors and all approvals were done via Zoom. Gotta love technology! Tomorrow they will install the glass above the knee wall and do the final clean. It took 3 weeks. I can't say enough about CMK as a whole and the team, including Jason, Grady, and especially Zach. They under-promised and over-delivered! Remodeling is very expensive work and I'm so very glad we went with CMK. I can highly recommend them!! read more

This place is an absolute shitshow - I hired them 3 years ago for new kitchen and bathroom countertops. Customer service is non existent; within a year my kitchen sink was leaking and they told me it is "out of warranty" - with all the money I paid, only one year? My Project Manager wasn't pleasant to deal with, either. He acted like the company was doing me a favor even though I was a paying customer! And, now the finish on my bathroom sinks (silver), is completely black and corroded. So I tried to call them today, and guess what? THEY ARE FULLY AI! IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A LIVE PERSON! They are only interested in you leaving your information for a quote on your next project. I am planning on more remodeling work being done, but there is absolutely NO WAY I will even consider them. You have been warned! I would give a ZERO star rating if it were possible. read more

CMK completed a small bathroom project with a major drainage issue. It did take a little longer then expected due to the complexity of the repair but the finished work is superb. CMK is the only way to go for your remodel! Our remodel was extensive, including a complete kitchen renovation and two bathrooms taken down to the studs. From the initial design with Lindsey to the final touches, the entire team worked hard to make our vision a reality. A special thank-you goes to Carlos Gonzalez, our outstanding supervisor and administrator. Carlos made sure every detail was completed correctly and to the highest standard. He personally inspected each stage of the work and made sure nothing was overlooked. He even got into the shower to make sure it didn't leak! His constant question was, "Are you HAPPY?" Our answer was always YES! Carlos kept us informed, communicated openly, and made sure any issues were corrected properly. He truly cared about the quality of the finished project and had the final say on all the finishing touches. Zach, our project director, also did an excellent job keeping us informed about schedules, deliveries, and the workers coming into our home. The entire crew--from the carpenters and plumbers to the electricians, tile installers, and finish workers--were skilled, professional, and took pride in their work. Like any major remodel, there were a few problems along the way. What impressed us was that the CMK team addressed every issue and made sure it was done right. Worst company we have ever worked with in 5 states! It should have been a simple job-- just switch out the old cabinets for new, switch out old countertops for new. No reconfiguration, no redesign. Just switch in exactly as laid out. Well, not so much. What a nightmare. A two-year horror. All the designer's measurements were wrong, tried to be corrected by the PM (of which we had 4, starting February '24 through September '25 when CMK cut us loose with our kitchen still not finished.) The cabinets arrived damaged or wrong sized and did not fit, sink is off center, wiring was screwed up, plumbing was wrong and while CMK struggled to figure out how to fix all its mistakes and blunders along the way, NOBODY from CMK would speak with us about the problems. We left messages every week over the course of 21 months and no one -- NO ONE!! -- EVER returned our calls or requests for a meeting about all the issues with quality and performance and the fact that we did not have a finished kitchen going on TWO YEARS! This is absurd. We are still awaiting two deco end panels we were told by Barry our PM were arriving in October '25, still awaiting repair of the pocket door destroyed by CMK when the crew drilled through it while installing the microwave bracket, still awaiting painting and wall repair for damages caused during the 1st, 2nd, and third separate installs of the countertops (which the subcontractors screwed up and had to re-redo), still awaiting the installation of three doors with three new door pulls (because two doors are warped and the pulls were drilled crooked), and awaiting the adjustment of cabinet doors installed too high so that they couldn't be fully opened as they hit the recessed lighting. Before any of this plus touchup on the remaining chipped doors and nail holes could be completed, we received a "cease and desist" letter from Mike Turner the VP of CMK who told us (surprise!!) they actually had finished all their obligations as of May '25 and we need to "cease harassing them with calls and texts" because (unbeknownst to us) they are "finished", our "warranties were expired" and they "aren't going to do any more work on our kitchen". The letter did not explain why, if they were "finished" in May '25, we had CMK staff working in our house in June, July, August, and September and even in November '25 the listed items still were not complete. The letter also claimed that our repeated calls and texts were evidence of "harassment" and "intoxication" on our part. Yes, that's how CMK treats its customers. They won't talk with you, they don't respond to calls asking for conversation, they wait 20 months and then send you an unenforceable "cease and desist" letter. We are now pursuing a breach of contract claim against them in court for failure to complete the work in our kitchen, and we are suing Mike Turner and his bosses for libel. Maria was very helpful and sent out a plumber and an electrician right away, who took care of all my concerns. I was especially impressed with the electrician, Michael. First, I would like to say the quality of work that CMK did updating my kitchen was great. I am very particular about quality and the finishes that they used and I was not disappointed. My wife is handicapped and cannot lift her legs. She basically just slides her feet across the floor. The curb at the entrance to the shower was something she could not get over and she has fallen multiple times trying to get in or out of the shower. It became time to remodel that shower to accommodate her limitations. I choose CMK to do the work because they had good reviews from other customers. I am glad I did. They were very professional from start to finish. The total remodel required gutting the entire shower/toilet area. They stripped all the drywall down to the studs and started from there. I watched the demo crew, tile work, plumbing. and electrician do all their work. The project supervisor, Nick, was on top of the workers and stuck to his schedule for fast completion . They even sent a clean-up crew after all the work was done. My cost was $22,825 and well worth every penny. My wife has no fear now taking a shower. read more

My small kitchen remodel has taken 7 months. It was 4 months before they even started then 6+ weeks with workers coming only once or twice a week. The workers were asking me for decisions. Things I were told in the beginning weren't what actual happens so I have not got the kitchen I thought I was getting. Now at the end I was told they won't put my appliances back into the kitchen.
