I'd have given the company 5 stars, but the choices were limited - the bigger selection is supposedly at their Tampa store. That said, KB was able to satisfy both my wife and me with a splendid choice that we reserved on our first visit (we're just waiting until our new cabinets are installed so they can make an accurate measurement). We worked with Rey to accomplish our needs - on our way in we met another couple who were coming out, and they recommended Rey highly, that this was their 2nd order from KB / Rey. The salesman was great, the countertops look pretty good. There are some seams we didn't like as they look dirty. Also, had a couple of other issues come up and even though John said he would address them we never heard back. Calls and texts go unanswered. I mentioned this to him when he did come to inspect the seam, which he said was because of the design, which is not true at all. He said he gets so many calls/texts it is difficult to answer them all. We love the countertops, just wanted a couple of things fixed or explained. This Largo location was easy to find and get into. Once inside I was greeted and taken care of right away. Because I knew exactly what I wanted, the whole process was very quick and easy. Rey showed me the slabs of the type I wanted, I chose one, was written up, deposit paid and I was out of there within 20 minutes. Maybe 1 hour later, I was called to schedule my template visit. Everything with our counter purchase was fantastic, right up until installation....here's the full story. Shopped the warehouse, which has a great selection of slabs. Chose out slab, a Fantasy Brown. Later we price-checked, and determined that KB is generally cheaper than others, and we were able to include a 'factory' sealant, still under other's pricing. So far, so good. KB kept the slab on hold for quite a while during our cabinet installation. Once our cabinets were installed, a KB pattern person came to our home and made four detailed templates for the slabs to be cut to. One back wall in our kitchen has quite a bow in it, but the pattern-maker said this was no issue, and that's what the pattern is for. More good news. We returned to KB to place the patterns onto the slab, thus choosing the grain locations. Everything went very well. A couple days after, we decided to check other places for sinks because KB had little to offer in sinks for 30" base cabinets. We are glad we did because we ordered a Blanco sink that was a much better fit. Not sure why KB did not provide this option earlier, but it all worked out. About 10 days later, the install team arrives as-scheduled. This is where problems start. Two of the four slabs were a full 1/4" too long! That is a lot of error, and our stove would not fit. Two options at this point, go back a cut 1/4" off, or notch the drywall such that the countertop slides into it at least 1/4". That was the option chosen, but not desirable. With a bit of a mess, that side was completed. Now for the other side. Turns out that not only is this side 1/4" too long, but the wall-bow was not cut into the granite. This made me wonder if our template was even used at this point. So, to fix this, not only does the drywall need to be cut away at the end to compensate for the 'long' dimension, but the entire back wall of dry wall had to be cut away behind the granite to accommodate the bow that should have been cut into the granite in the first place by the cutting person. More dry wall dust, chips everywhere. Eventually, the counter finally fit into place, albeit with all drywall removed behind the counter slab. Later, I discovered large amounts of drywall cuttings in the back-bottom of all the cabinets, so a LOT of cleanup was required. In the end, all of this can and has been dealt with, but I really question the job of the granite cutter on this job. This should have gone much more smoothly for our simple job. This should and could have been an easy 5-star job. read more

Installers Mario and Jonathan did an excellent job installing a kitchen with difficult angles. We were also impressed with the beautiful work they did on the bathroom. We give them 5 stars KB has some issues with communication. Once the salesperson writes up your order they are pretty much done with you if you have any questions. They will tell you they have excellent sinks but then every one we selected they didn't have. We ended up after a couple tries ordering our own and taking it to them. The next thing they don't tell you is they will charge you extra to cut out any sink you bring in yourself. The 3rd thing that bugged me is that the price of the product we chose went up $10 per sq ft in the week between when we first saw it and when we ordered. That's a big jump and the product wasn't on sale at the time we shopped. Overall they are fine, just make sure to ask lots of questions and request Mario and Jonathan to install read more

Excellent experience. I had shopped several places for granite in my kitchen and bathrooms before hearing the KB ad on the radio. Since it was very close to my home, I stopped in to see what they had to offer. I am so glad I did. They have a great selection onsite, and a good website as well. In addition, their pricing is very straight-forward. A couple of other granite shops told me their price included a "free" stainless steel kitchen sink, but there was a charge of $250 to cut the hole for the sink. Other places say they include "free" sealer, but then you discover their price is $2.50-$5.00 per sq ft higher than comparable at KB. KB's pricing is easy to understand and easy to compare to other places. I was able to upgrade my sinks for less money than the "free" sinks elsewhere. Compare the bottom line! Price per sq ft is only part of the cost. Rey, in the office, was excellent in showing us the products and working within our budget. We appreciate his patience and thoughtfulness in searching out a couple of specific requests we had. The template and installation procedures were done very professionally and within a short time frame. KB's fabricators arrived on time, worked in a very professional matter, were very courteous and cleaned up well afterwards. We are so glad we used KB, and will be using them again for our guest bathroom upgrade later on. read more

My husband and I could not be happier with the Quartzite countertops installed today by KB Factory Outlet! Not only do they look incredible, but the service we received from the day we initially selected the natural stone to the day they were installed was among the best we've encountered. We were initially greeted and helped by Rey, an extremely nice and patient man who helped us select the correct material for our needs and provided a proposal off of our measurements that was almost to the penny. Then came Theo a few days later who worked with us to draw up templates and place them perfectly on the slabs to avoid unnecessary seams. The real rock star though was Yassel their installer! He went above and beyond...even at one point letting us know that the sinks we purchased were not the best choice and offering to make a special trip when the new sinks arrive. WOW! We were happy with the selection of patterns and prices, however their follow through and installation left a lot to be desired. The following things were greatly disappointing: we ordered a 1 foot by 1 foot slab to use as a matching board for heavier use. They did not leave one at installation. We called and the salesman said they would drop it off the next day. It never arrived, and subsequent call backs went unanswered. We paid for a bracket for the dishwasher. They never attached it to the stone, and it is completely useless to us now. Nor did they say they wouldn't attach the dishwasher to the countertop. We knew we were responsible for the plumbing, but still have a dishwasher that rocks and slides due to no bracket (it is not attached at all). Third we paid for sealant and the guy gave us a bottle of sealant and told us we had to do it ourselves. Use someone else. read more

KB installers were fast and efficient they removed the old counter tops and cleaned up the debris and vacuumed any dust left over immediately. The new counter tops fit perfectly and looks unreal. We could not be happier and Ray the Manager at KB in Largo was so professional and made sure everything was coordinated. We also looked at a half a dozen other Marble and Tile stores and they wanted a lot more money for the exact same marble types.
